'Ello! ^^ I know I haven't updated in a few days... sorry 'bout that. ^^' There really hasn't been much to say..
Well, I did decide that this summer, I'm going to try to teach myself how to play the piano [again]. See, I played for.. two or three years back in elementary school. But then, because my piano teacher was through the school, when I moved up to middle school, lessons stopped and I never looked for a different teacher or really tried to continue playing, I just sort stopped. ^^' But I really kind of want to get back into it.
Unfortunately, I discovered that I can't actually really read music. XD See, I would figure out what notes to play, the hand position, and then 'read' it by saying "oh, that note is finger number two.. three.. one.. five.." or whatever. So.. <.< That didn't really help. So Wolfblitz is trying to teach me how to read music. ^^ She's a good teacher so far. Well.. except that she plays flute and doesn't know much about Bass clef, and.. working on piano, I use the Bass as much as the Treble Clef. *laughs* So my boyfriend, who knows a little about the Bass clef, is going to try to teach me that. So yeah. This should be an interesting adventure!
On a different note [no pun intended ^^'] my trip out of the country is coming up REALLY soon!!! I mean, we technically leave in four days, including today. (My family and I are staying at a hotel near the airport, because the airport is about an hour away from our house.) Our flight leaves at like.. 6 a.m. and since it's an international flight, we need to be at the airport at 4-4:15 a.m. >.< So, we're staying over so that we can sleep in as much as we can. *laughs* I'm so excited!! (Well.. except for the spiders. O_O *shudders* In the information packet, they mentioned something about shaking out your shoes and clothes before putting them on because scorpions and tarantulas are common. *scared out of wits by spiders, never mind tarantulas... scorpions are sorta ok, although seeing one in real life might scare me ^^'*) There's going to be SO much for us to do while were there. In the rain forest, we get to do stuff like Monkey Hikes (looking for monkeys), Bird walks (listening to and finding birds), Dry and Wet Caving (sorta self explanatory), and other things, I'm sure. ^^ And then when we go to the island, we'll be doing a bunch of snorkeling. Our teacher said something about us traveling around to different nearby islands for the day to go snorkeling so that we're not always in the same spot. Apparently, one of the areas, there's a chance for us to see some manatees!! ^_^ Yay manatees! *hugs a random manatee* ^^'
Anyway, so yeah. This post ended up being a LOT longer than I thought. ^^' Sorry!
