Through the Looking Glass (Part 31)
We now see the party riding along the road. Snow is still covering the ground.
Aino: *yawns* I just don’t see why we have to get up so early.
Daedalus: Because we have to quicken our pace. Now which way is the next shard?
Aino closes her eyes. She opens them and stops Osin. She dismounts and runs into the forest. Daedalus and Lycurgus look at each other and Daedalus jumps down and unsheathes his sword and follows Aino.
Lycurgus: Oh ~please~. Let ~me~ tie the horses up.
Osin snorts and Aglaia whinnies.
Lycurgus: Not that I have anything against you.
We see Aino running through the forest and Daedalus following her with his sword out.
Daedalus (whispering): Aino! Slow down!
She stops and stares wide-eyed.
Daedalus (whispering): What’s your problem? You wanna get yourself killed? What if there had been a Dark Army-
She covers his mouth.
Aino: Shh. Look.
She points at a tree with a large hole in the bark that is slightly glowing. The tree is covered in ice but still has leaves on it. She takes her hand off his mouth.
Daedalus: How could they not find this?
Aino walks up to the tree.
Aino: I don’t know…
She puts her hand on the tree.
Aino: It’s in here.
She turns to Daedalus.
Aino: Can you melt the ice?
Daedalus walks up and holds his left hand in front of him with his palm facing the tree. His hand begins to glow and the ice on the tree melts. The hole is uncovered.
Aino: That’s good!
Daedalus puts his hand down. Aino reaches in the hole and pulls out what looks like the tip of a sword.
Aino: Whoa…
She turns to Daedalus.
Aino: Are we near the Ice Castle?
Daedalus nods.
Aino: We need the hilt of the Ice Sword.
Daedalus: Why?
Aino: Trust me.

^__^ My puppy is happy! Well he's acting happy anyway. And I think I know why! He doesn't have fleas, ticks, or heart worms (thank God) and he hasn't gotten beaten lately because he hasn't made a mess in the house! Yay! I don't beat him!! He's my baby! I had my journalism and my geometry exams. I dunno how I did on my journalism exam but I got a 84 in geometry! Yay! - - Bad news. I may have gotten over my writer's block buy now I have a drawing block. It's either one or the other isn't it?! Gah! Oh yes! Today is also S-kun's and my two month anniversery! Yay! - - It doesn't even feel like two months. Where has the year gone?! *sniffle* - - Yeah I'm still sick. And now my dad has it and his stupid whore of a girl friend was over last night making it worse I'm sure. ¬ ¬ Stupid bitch. Yeah...So anyways, I think I shall take a bath so I shall leave you with the moral for the day: Make sure you have EVERYTHING before you leave the house. See you space cowboy...
