Through the Looking Glass (Part 38)
We see Daedalus and Lycurgus playing cards at the small table in the parlor. It is daytime out yet they have a fire in the fireplace.
Daedalus: Now that I think about it, maybe taking this day off wan't a good idea after all.
Lycurgus: She needs her rest. She's had a lot of stress mentaly lately. I mean, her finding out that she really is Aino, you almost drowning, and now coming back here. Soon she'll be a nervous reck! Taking the day off for her was a good thing.
He lays a card down on the pile inbetween them.
Lycurgus: Curse.
Daedalus: Involving her in all of this was the bad thing.
He lays a card down on top of Lycurgus'.
Daedalus: Counter-curse.
He tosses his cards down.
Lycurgus: Oh I lost! Damn you.
Daedalus stands up, walks over to the window, and looks out.
Daedalus: I hate myself for getting her involved in all of this.
Lycurgus: It's in the past. You can;t do anything about it.
Daedalus punches the wall with his left hand.
Daedalus: I wish I could take everything back! I wish I could just start everything over! Everything from the moment I met her! Maybe the things would be different. Maybe I could've stopped the Dark Elves.
Lycurgus: But Daedalus you can't. You can't restart anything. Everything is already set in stone and nothing is ever going to change, So stop beating yourself up about it! And besides, if Aino had not disappeared, the Dark Army would've captured her and all hell would've broken loose.
Daedalus: I know.
His eyes are in shadow.
Daedalus: I just can't forgive myself for what happened...
...
Daedalus: Lycurgus...
Lycurgus: Yeah?
Daedalus: Aino told me something last night, that made me realize how long it's been since I was truely happy and carefree.
Lycurgus: Oh?
Daedalus: I don't remember my smile.

*bows* I am sooo sorry people! I said that I was going to visit people's sites and I never did! Sorry! - - And I apologize for the part being so long yesterday. I was thinking about splitting it into two parts which I probably should've. Really sorry! I SWEAR I will visit everyone who has updated. Well I won't talk long so I can visit people's sites.
Inuyasha: *punches me in the head* You're so mean to people.
Me: ^^;; I know!
Yumi: Yeah! I mean my goodness!
Me: ^^;; I'm sorry! So the moral for the day is: Type fast! See you space cowboy...
