Through the Looking Glass (Part 39)
Daedalus is asleep on one of the couches.Lycurgus is playing solataire at the small table. Aino walks into the parlor. Lycurgus looks up and smiles.
Lycurgus: Well hello there!
Aino: Hey. I'm hungry.
Lycurgus: Heh. There's some cracker in my pack you can have.
Aino: Thanks.
Aino walks over to where the backpacks are and crouches down and opens Lycurgus' bag.
Lycurgus: Sleep well?
Aino: Better than most nights, actually.
She pulls a pouch out, walks back over to the small table, and sits down across from Lycurgus. She opens the pouch, takes out a cracker and starts eating.
Aino: Solatire, eh?
Lycurgus: Yup. I can't seem to beat myself. Heh.
Aino: I love card games.
Lycurgus: Oh?
Aino: ^ ^ Mmm hmm. Ever play War?
Lycurgus: Nope. ^ ^;;Infact I've never even heard of it.
Aino: Here I'll teach you.
She takes the cards and shuffles them. Then she deals the cards between the two of them until they have equal cards. Aino: Ok. Here's what you do. You take the card on top and lay it face up on the table.
Lycurgus does and it's a three.
Aino: Ok. Now I do the same (she does) and it's a seven. Now since my card is higher, I get both of them.
Lycurgus: Ah! I see! But what happens if we both get the same card?
Aino: They we lay down four cards with one facing up and whoever has the highest facing-up card, they get all of the cards. You get it?
Lycurgus: Yes yes! Let's play!
Aino: ^ ^ ok! oh! Ace beats all!
Lycurgus: Ok!
voice: You two ar really quite loud.
They look up to see Daedalus still lying down with one eye on them.
Aino: Oh sorry Daedalus. Didn't mean to wake you.
Daedalus: I was going to get up soon anyway.
He sits up.
Aino: WOuld you like to play?
Lycurgus: Yeah! It'll be fun!
Daedalus: I'll just watch.

Ok peoples. Sorry I didn't get to everyone's sites yesterday, but I felt like something the cat draged in, ate, spit back up, then ate again! o.O Someone said that to me but I forget who. Anyways! I aill probably not be able to get to a lot of sites today because I REALLY need to study for my drug test for my permit. No they're not testing me for drugs! Gah I hate telemarketers. Anywho, A while ago I asked if maybe I should change Iris to a boy, I NEED HELP! I dunno if I should or not. So HELP! H for HURRY, E for EMERGANCY, L for LOVELY, and P for P-P-PLEASE HELP!!! ^ ^;; "Yellow Submarine". You know, with the Beatles. Heh heh...Yeah so, PLEASE HELP!!! The moral for the day is: ^0^ Watch Abbot and Castello!! Whoo! Love them. This kid in my world history class has never even HEARD of them. See you space cowboy...
