Through the Looking Glass (Part 40)
Aino is sitting at the small table in the parlor making a house of cards.
Aino (thinking): "I wonder when they'll be back? I know they wenty to find food; but this is ridiculous! An hour! I mean really!"
She stands up.
Aino: Where are they?!
She looks down at the floor where a sword is resting next to where she was just sitting.
Aino (thinking): "I have a sword but I still feel uneasy being here alone." - - *sigh*
voice from behind: Well who are you?
Aino turns to see a young woman, a few years older than herself, standing in the entrance of the parlor.
Aino: Who am I? Who are you?
woman: The name's Haiku. And ~what~ are you doing in my house? Not that I mind. Company's always nice you know.
Aino: Well, my name's A- I mean ~Kitty~ and my friends and I are staying here a while. We didn't know anyone was here.
Haiku: Well, if you came here last night, I was not here, no. I was in town.
Aino: Oh? Did you say this was your house?
Haiku: Yes. Me and my nephew. This place ws abandoned so we took it as our own. Almost half burnt down but fit for living. I'll give you the tour if you want.
Aino: Oh, no, that's ok. I know my way around here pretty well.
Haiku: Oh?
Aino: I, uh, had a friend, whose mother was a maide here. Her and I used to run around here when we were little.
Haiku: Interesting. Well, I'll get my nephew out of his carriage and I'll make us something to eat.
Aino: Oh, no. You don't have to do that. We have food.
Haiku: But you're my guest. And I must be courteous to my guests.

< < Amusement by a flower. Ha. *bows* Sorry for not putting this up yesterday! I had so much stuff going on. Gah! Again I can't talk long because I shall visit everyone's sites today! Yay! Oh yes. I have said it before, and I shall say it again: I asked if maybe I should change Iris to a boy, I NEED HELP! I dunno if I should or not. So HELP! H for HURRY, E for EMERGANCY, L for LOVELY, and P for P-P-PLEASE HELP!!! Yeah I really need help. And for a memory check, Iris is Daedalus' youngest neice. So there ya go!
