I never really wanted to belong....
< You know, I'm sitting here thinking, music can be the key to the soul, but really can it be? Can moving lyrics, and sweet voices carried by wonderful melodies give someone the one thing you'll save your entire life?
Is it enough?
Or does it take more? The mere sound of someone's voice, or maybe a glimpse of them as they pass by?
^ Food for thought.
Although, I'm not sure if it'll really make anyone think. Hell, everyone's probably had a thesis amount of thought on it.
Why it comes to mind makes no sense now, but maybe later.
Anyways, sorry 'bout not updating earlier, but I've been in a real rutt, which hasn't let up yet. Which in retrospective isn't surprising seeing the wonderful support system I have at home.
But enough about the boring stuff.
Last night was interesting. I was at this military ball thing because my dad din't want to go, and there was of course no one to talk to the whole time the "formal" part of the thing was going on, so I just had to sit there and yawn. The interesting part came when they started to play music. I noticed this girl danicng with her dad, and she seemed my age, so I went up and chit chatted with her for about an hour.
I start leaving and mom turns and says to me "You know that was the Surgeon General's of the Army's daughter, right?"
Kinda funny actually, she wasn't stuck up like most girls that hold positions like that. Had a good time.
Anyways, I would bore you with details of my trip, but I'm saving for when I can get pictures to go with. ~_^
Hope everyone's doing well.

Take the Online Dating Profile Quiz at Dating Diversions
Hmm, interesting little quiz. Thanks to Jamie, because I stole from Steff, who stole it from her. Whoo for Chain Reactions!

Well, I figured, I'd drop in, since I haven't been around here in a while.
I found alot of my old friends from my school last year's Xanga's.
Some of the stuff I've read is kind of, I don't know, weird? I realize that in that area, alot of people are incredibly religious. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but some of the things that go through a kid's head... I wish I could think that deep into some stuff.
Of course, there's one or two who make a good point, but in the big picture, it makes me shudder. Now, before I do this, I want you all to not dis me for this. This was written by one of my friends, and if you like, I'll give you the link.
Ok, here goes...
[New Guy's Post]Have you ever noticed how alike modern America has become to ancient Rome?
Think about it. In ancient Rome, they glorified violence. The people were addicted to it. The loved to see gladiators kill each other and cut each other. Here in America we glorify violence through video games, media, boxing, and other fighting tournaments. We love to see violence. Like the citizens of ancient Rome violence is a form of entertainment to us.
Also like the Romans we've legalized gay marrige (at the risk of sounding predujice i don't support it. I respect the person and love the person because as my purpose in life we are to love all people.) I do not support this right because gay marrige and gay activity in general is an abomination to God. According to Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestible. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads" (NIV). God said that. God also destroyed Sodom and Gamorrah for their sexual immorality and corruption.
Like Rome we have perverted the God-given gift of sex.
And like Rome we have replaced the one true God with man-made images and idols. How have we done this? If you see the Catholics and how they treat the pope. Calling him most holy father and praying to him for forgiveness. Who has given the Pope the right to forgive sins? It is not God. It is a lie from the devil that we can recieve forgiveness from the pope! And praying to the saints. According to the Bible we are all saints! Also we glorify celebrities and in a sense worship them instead of giving golory to the ONE TRUE GOD who is WORTHY and ALL DESERVING of all of our praise!
Modern America has become like Ancient Rome.
Ancient Rome's rule over the earth had only lasted 400 years and the empire collapsed because of its corruption and sin. America has only lasted about 200 years. If we keep moving in the same direction in which we're moving now, i won't be suprised if we fall.[/New Guy's Post]
I think I'll take it apart, and read into it a bit.
[Guy's Post]Have you ever noticed how alike modern America has become to ancient Rome?

As a regular person, I can see what he's getting at with this. Although, he did miss one big point, what about hunting? Isn't it violence too? *weird eyebrow thing*
Violence and sex (I'll get to this with his part on it) creeped into the "media" more and more throughout the 80's and 90's.
Movies began to get more violent, and sex became more and more popped out in them.
Well, what else were the Romans supposed to do? I mean, yeah, I could get be countered with the "Worshipping God!!!!!" thing, but in all honesty, the gladiators sound more fun.
IMPORTANT POINT I MISSED EARLIER: The Church is probably the organization that's spilled the most blood EVER.
*cough*
Salem Witch Trials, anyone?
The Crusades?
9/11?
*bows out there*
I'm not going to go through the Bible and quote things, but to me, it always seemed like God just wants you to keep him a part of your life, and always remeber that he loves.
Sure, he was real hard core on the world.. (Noah's Ark anyone?) but if we all keep things in perspective, and keep in mind things like the paraboles and Ten Comandments (although, George Carlton breaks them down into two or three really well) we'll be fine and move on into Heaven.
[New Guy]Also like the Romans we've legalized gay marrige (at the risk of sounding predujice i don't support it. Nope, this turns me off. The Romans had something going by granting the freedoms they did.
Taking the Bible from a skeptisist, it seems like MAN wrote the Bible, not God. *shrugs* Another thing of faith.
[New Guy]Like Rome we have perverted the God-given gift of sex.[/New Guy]
Minus the God given part, we have perverted sex. Now, instead of being a natural thing of life, it's this big thing. Porography is good and all, but I mean, why can't people just be satisfied with what they get at home?
* Unless you're not getting any, then go out and get some damnit! =D
[New Guy]And like Rome we have replaced the one true God with man-made images and idols. How have we done this? If you see the Catholics and how they treat the pope. OK, now this was a blow below the belt. My mom's side, and I, for now, are Catholic, and I take resentment. How dare he resort to name calling, even if the Pope isn't exactly someone I like, calling him the devil is wrong. And yes, the whole getting forgivness from priest always has been something I've thought on, because there have been alot of priest/ choir boy incidents, so they're not really technically a "holy" person. (Meh, I don't like using words like "pure" and "holy" because it causes so much hassle, but I can't think of a better word.)
But anyway, point is, if the Pope was the Devil, I don't think he would have so little say in all world politics. (When I say "say" I mean actually having things like votes and whatnot, although he does kinda go through the politicans... So maybe he does. *shurgs*)
That and he wear more red. =D
Almost done..
Nope, we're done.
Meh, I'm sorry Shinmaru, if I'm muscling on your teritory in anyway with this, I just thought I see what everyone else thought.
Other than that,
MUU!!!
Annie's coming back on the 25th and I'm leaving on the 24th. ;___; |

Use Your Freedom Of Choice
<
I like the sad icon. I need to figure out how to find it seperate and use it as an icon for MSN or AIM.
Comments on last post...
Mr. Cowboy: Yeah, I myself sometimes spout off about stuff I shouldn't and piss people off. *cough* Yeah. Anyway, the conspiracy is all around!!! RUN!!!
PIC: Meh, see my comment to Mr. Cowboy, and see the post below.
Strawberries: See post unter this. Just wasted space.
The reason you all came today...
I have done nothing really since Monday.
I think the movie really shook me up, and I let it get me down after I took a Math test on Wednesday, which I was convinced I I failed.
I find out on Friday, that I passed with one of the best grades in the class. A 3+ is about a low B/ high C in America, and I was proud in all honesty.
Of course my loving parents were all, "You should be making 1's and 2's."
Needless to say, I'm still sour at them.
Other than that, I bought a new CD today.
A Perfect Circle's eMotive. A very awesome CD.
I would go through and rate all the songs, but I'll save it for tomorrow and make it weekly thing. =D
Peace Love and Understanding,
JJ/^.^/Josh/Darncoolguy1
PS: If Mr./Mrs. mystery person reads this, please comment.
You left me an IM on AIM today, and I clicked out of the window before I could commit your name to memory.
I love basketball games. =D |

Ending it all....
< I promise to myself, and everyone that reads this, that I will never ever back up anyone who thinks that a group of people that are different from them should be killed.
I cannot believe that we as a human race could go with it. HOW COULD ANYONE JUST SHOOT SOMEONE ELSE?
I don't understand, and I can't. How could we kill in cold blood. I couldn't imagine doing it, much less because I thought I was better than the person I shot.
^ A portion of my thoughts after watching about half of Schindler's List.
This movie disturbs me to no end. I cannot believe that people could even film this kind of stuff. I almost cried last night, because I cannot believe that we as a people could ever allow it, and even support it. It mkaes me sick to think that the Holocaust wasn't the first time that type of thing happened.
The Native Americans is another big one that popped into my mind, and when the US put all Japanese people into concentration camps.
A friend of mine said that he believed that Bush was heading down the same path of Hitler, with the War in Iraq.
I in a way agree with him, because look at the numbers from the War in Iraq. So many people dying for what? WHAT THE HELL ARE INNOCENT PEOPLE DYING FOR? Why does my neighbor, my brother, my father, me, and the little boy from down the street have to go to Iraq, and sacrifice our lives?
For an idiot. An idiot who's let the power WE as an American people gave him get to his head.
I also can't believe that it could happen again, but look at the prision incident.
Why can't humans learn from thier mistakes?[/end horrible rant]
[Angsty Horrible Shitty Day]I couldn't sleep last night, so I woke up tired. I got up and got dressed and went to school, no problem. Got through class, and came home.
I was on a rollar coaster of emmtion today. I'm chaning my background soon, and I'll switch back to this one when I feel better.
I went from happy that school was over, to ideas of leaving my one way to get all everything out. Deleting AIM, and leaving myO.
I don't think that would have been the best idea, so I kinda didn't, but I tell you, just writting this is hard, because I want to go cry into my stuffed bear's fur, but I don't want to upset anyone since things are running smoothly.
There's so much more, but I don't want to let that out here, because god knows what might happen then.
Anyways, thanks for listening, and I'll be in touch soon.
^.^
EDIT: I'm incredibly stupid. I was just writing, and my brain kinda got ahead, and James, is right. I guess, it's just, I kinda let little things blow into huge things.
See, this is what I get for listening to someone who was set against Bush from the begining.
James, you were right to explode, and I kinda feel stupid. I hate when I start typing, and don't think. Nothing good comes from it.
I won't change my post, but I hang my head in shame, for it was a bad comparision.
I await the firing squad of bad posts. *puts on the blindfold*
Thanks, Mr Cowboy.
^.^
Now, comments from last time...
Fruit or Vegetable?: Oh yes, buttons are fun. Up and down...

Thinking
< You know, I think I found the perfect song for the relationship between Buffy and Spike.
Michelle Branch's "Something To Sleep To"
The lyrics... (uncommented)
She's his yellow brick road
Leading him on
And letting him go as far as she lets him go
Going down to nowhere
She puts on her make-up
The same way she did yesterday
Hoping everything's the same
But everything has changed
In my mind
Everything we did was right
Open your eyes, I'll still be by your side
How could I ever have been so blind?
You give me something to sleep to at night
He wakes up to the sound
So scared that she's leaving
He wishes she were still asleep next to him
Hoping she will change
In my mind
Everything we did was right
Open your eyes, I'll still be by your side
How could I ever have been so blind?
You give me something to sleep to at night
You give me something to sleep to
And all I know is
You give me something to dream to when I'm all alone and blue
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
In my mind
Everything we did was right
Open your eyes, I'll still be by your side
How could I ever have been so blind?
You give me something to sleep to
Something to sleep to
Something to sleep to at night
JJ's Thoughts
She's his yellow brick road
Leading him on
And letting him go as far as she lets him go
Going down to nowhere
^ That stanza shows how Buffy puts Spike on a leash, and only let's him go as far as she allows. (ca. 7th season)
She puts on her make-up
The same way she did yesterday
Hoping everything's the same
But everything has changed
^ The showing of how Buffy tries to sweep her and Spike's sexual relations under the rug. How she hides them until Once More, With Feeling when they are thrown into the open.
In my mind
Everything we did was right
Open your eyes, I'll still be by your side
How could I ever have been so blind?
You give me something to sleep to at night
^ Spike's verse. Spike never regreted anything he did. From becoming the last sacrifice in the fight for Sunndale, to killing his mother, after he had turned her.
He wakes up to the sound
So scared that she's leaving
He wishes she were still asleep next to him
Hoping she will change
^ Another perfect example of Spike. (Duh, it has he)
Spike was in total love with Buffy, and he wasn't afraid to show it, although Buffy stopped him from doing it while they were together. When ever they spent the night together, Buffy was always out the door, with just a couple of words, and a quick glance of her. (ca. 6th season)
You give me something to sleep to
And all I know is
You give me something to dream to when I'm all alone and blue
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now
^ Spike had Buffy on the mind ever since he first met her in the 2nd season. Drusilla left him because she could tell that he was only thinking about Buffy. ALthough he found love in Harmony, he didn't find Buffy. When he finally got her, he got so into it, that he was helpless when she left him.
And the rest has already been accounted for.
If anyone wants to challenge me, or has another song they'd like me to use, you know where the box is. |

Falling.
< I'm really thinking April is a shitty month. I realize good things have come and gone, but it just seems like life just gets worse every couple of days for at least one person close to me.
I cannot believe that it would be based on anything other than the choices in life that are made, but it just seems like there's something chaning the course of things. (I've been playing too much Eternal Darkness. Poor poor Edward and Max.)
I won't call out any names, but one friend lost alot of things to something that should have been done, but wasn't. Two others are having love troubles, although one is also having problems elsewhere.
I realize that the people I mentioned have already posted about it on myO, but I still feel weird just saying "So-and-So is having love troubles". It feels like I'm gossiping or something horrible like that.
Yes, I do condem gossipping. It is one of the worst things kids do in school.
I will first off mention that I have gossipped before, and will probably in the future.
When someone starts talking about someone else and they're sitting right there, it gets me. Because I know that they can hear every word, and they just sit there taking it in, and trying to keep thier pride by not crying. I cannot stand it, because I endured it for like two or three years. It hurts me emmotionally, and I usually try to clear it up.
Bah, I just don't like people who think they're better than everyone else because they have the "best" clothes, or hang out with the "best" people.
I'm glad that it doesn't happen in the German schools as much, but it does happen, and I don't like it when it gets directed at me. It's like "Oh, so what do you think of *insert name*? I think they're so *insert adjective*."
Anyway, hopefully things'll clear up and life will get better in May.
I love everyone here, and I'll see you all on Sunday.
