lol.
I have decided that I attend the most crazy-ass church on the planet. Today the message was on joy, and so dozens of party hats, bubbles, and noisemakers were passed out through the audience. It was so damn funny. And rather noisy, also.

Ugh, no time to update yesterday, I kept getting kicked off the computer.

Well, I got a part in the school play, Arsenic and Old Lace, a few days ago as Reverend Dr. Harper (amen, brother!), but I only have a handful of lines, and all in the first act, it seems, comma, comma.

Some people were pretty pissed about the casting, though, because there was apparently a lot of decisions that many students thought were downright stupid. I, however, have no idea who most of the people who got cast even are, so I'm not too unhappy about the whole thing. ^_^

Shufflin'
I think I have a new hobby: card shuffling.

My dad recently taught me how to make a bridge when I shuffled, and now I find shuffling cards quite fun. In fact, it seems to be just what I was looking for. Now I'll sometimes just pick up a deck of cards in my room and start shuffling, because it lets me think about things. Usually I can't just sit and think because I'll get bored or distraced. With shuffling, one side of my brain can do one thing while the other side is busy shufflin' away. It's almost like a trance. Very, very cool. You should try it. (Yes, I mean you.)

In other news, Alan's sidebar code still isn't working properly despite many modified codes. ^_^

He does indeed rock
In viewing the brand-spankin'-new Alanboards (Alanboards... hm, yes. I will call it that.), I came across Alan's method of putting an image in the menu bar of your myO. I was meaning to ask him about this earlier, but I forgot to.

So it doesn't cover the entire menu, but that's a fact that can be ignored for many purposes. As my thanks to great captain of 1337ness, I will let my beautiful site look totally crappy until I post again, and as anyone who visits this site knows, that very well may be some time after the Armageddon. So don't get in a hurry or anything.

Lemme get my murderin' stick...
A website that I frequently go went to whenever I wanted a dose of David Bowie or any other classic rock musician has finally screwed Starman over.

Er, lemme back up. This site is one of those new, legal pay-to-download music sites. It would let you listen to the songs online before you downloaded them, but it usually played 30 second samples instead of the full song. At least one exception was the David Bowie album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust. So I frequently visited the site to listen to that album, and almost exclusively the song Starman.

Damn, I love that song. As soon as I can put myself to it, I'm going to buy the album. Such a great song.

But as of now, that album is also only samples. I'll tell you, that pisses me right off. Ah, well. One less visitor for them.

So now then, does anyone know of any good online music sites for bands that aren't together anymore? Or rather, a site for both bands that are together, and ones that aren't?

King of the Closet
Yay on two accounts!

I'm pretty much certain that I'm going to send a lot of my drawings to my brother so he can scan them for me. I'm not a very good artist, though. If I had talent, I probably would be by now, but I don't, lol. I just started drawing from an online tutorial one day, and I've started sucking less and less at it over the years. As I said, I'm still not any good, but I can do simple drawings well enough.

Also, getting those pictures scanned will mean me getting the logo I drew for Fuzz Incognito (my dream website) into the digital world. Although I'll have to get a job before I could pay for hosting, this event may be a catalyst for me to actually start work on the site.

The second yay is that I now own Matrix Revolutions. My sister picked it up at a buy two get two free event at Movie Gallery. She said over the phone that she was going to get The Animatrix for me, but she apparently read the box wrong when she saw it.

Or rather, that's what she thought she did, but she probably did see The Animatrix first (I had seen it in there before), and when she came back to pick it up, grabbed Revolutions instead. No complaints from me, though. ^^;

Fun survey.
I usually don't do them, but this one really caught my eye. You have to answer the questions only with song titles. Or, as the fad has been, only with song titles from one particular band. I chooseth Ghoti Hook.

Are you male or female: Banana Man
Describe yourself: Scared Am I
How do some people feel about you:
How do you feel about yourself:
Describe your current girlfriend/boyfriend: Never
Describe where you want to be: At The Zoo
Describe what you want to be: Cowboy
Describe how you live: Money
Describe how you love: Gimme A Chance
Share a few words of wisdom: It's Alright
Describe your favorite thing: Shrinky Dinks
Describe your favorite emotion: Mach 3
Describe your favorite time: Two Years To Never
Last words: I See Red
Personal motto: I Love Rock N' Roll

Some more aspirations.
Just like the thing with the MMOGs, this is me talking about what I'd do if I had any skills.

I'd really like to be in a band, first of all. But the problem with that is that even if I did learn an instrument, 1) I probably wouldn't be able to find any other band members that would share my musical vision, and 2) I wouldn't really be able to know what my musical vision is.

There's just so much damn music that I adore, I couldn't fixate myself even generally on one mood. Maybe, with enough tweaking, I could settle on one style, but whenever I hear a good Five Iron Frenzy song I want to do lighthearted, happy music. But then I'll hear something like the Chili Peppers, and want to do something smooth with lots of passion and catch. And then I'll hear Blindside and want to do some serious, hardcore rock. I don't suppose this is unusual, but I don't think I could really settle on playing one thing for any period of time.

And of course, I probably wouldn't be able to find anyone who would feel the same way about the music as I would. Probably not even if I only needed one other person. (A band of just a DJ and a guitarist has been an idea I've thought about many a time.)

I don't want to go solo, either, unless I just DJ. That'd be a good choice, but as I said before, I couldn't play just electronic music. Blah.

The other thing I wanted to talk about is a bit simpler, though. I wanna make a flamethrower that shoots chocolate hundred dollar bills.

Yeah, you just read that. It's a Homestar Runner reference. But it'd be sooo cool to have! Working it out, it would have to look something like this:

That thing there in the barrel is a kind of plunger that would shoot out the chocolate. The chocolate, being soaked in kerousine from the clip, would shoot out and catch fire from the flame.

I'm going with kerousine because I think it doesn't explode, it just burns. Or am I wrong? Does it explode? That might be important to know.

I suppose the flame would come from a rope or line going into the clip, basically the same as a kerousine lamp. It might make changing clips rather difficult, unless you got the rope to stay stiff via a metal tube surrounding it or something.

Then there's the fact that I'd have to weld everything myself, since most gun parts aren't made for shooting chocolate hundred dollar bills. For shame.

But if I could, well, just think of the possibilities...

Happy Schitzophrenics Sending Cards to Themselves Day!
The Possibly Not True Fact of the Day is: St. Valentine's first name was Bud.

I myself prefer St. Patrick's Day, of course, over V-Day, even though I really don't participate in any of the traditional activitiesy, such as drinking your ass off. It just has a nice-type feel to it, ideally. When I think of St. Patty's Day, I think of people wearing green walking around an old street by a harbor, set against a gray sky. When I think of Valentine's Day, I think of

No, I gotta take a break for a minute and do some serious digression. I'm sitting at the college library typing this, and there are some people being total idiots about the movies they're critiquing at a table. I gotta talk about this.

They've somehow gotten on the topic of The Village, which is a severely underrated movie, because people take it for what they want it to be, not for what it is. It's basically the common arguments: the end was dumb, it wasn't scary, it didn't make sense.

1) The end wasn't dumb, it was different. It wasn't what you expected to see coming into the movie, [cliche]and in today's world, you're deliberately trained to be accustomed to getting whatever you want or expect, without deviation.[/cliche] This didn't do anything new by deviating from that ideology, but most people ignored it anyway.

2) It wasn't supposed to be scary. Tension played a big part in the movie, but story and mystery were what was in the forefront. There's not even the excuse of it being unexpected, either. Not from an M. Night Shyamalan movie. I guess everyone keeps forgetting that he doesn't write dumbass horror movies packed with cheap thrills.

3) To tell you the truth, this was a new argument to me. Why in the world would anyone say it doesn't make sense? Am I missing something?

Then they started talking about The Forgotten -- not an amazing movie, but entertaining at least. Here's what one of them said: (SPOILER) "So the aliens suck up people into their spaceships and make everyone think they're dead so they won't go looking for them. But that doesn't make sense because why would someone go looking for someone they think is dead?" (END OF SPOILER)

Uh huh.

So getting back on topic now, I have no real feelings for Valentine's Day and what not, but... yeah.

Many thanks to Alan for helping me make my site look that much prettier, and Ripway for being a totally awesome music hosting company. Seriously, they only give you 30mb storage, but the uploading is easy as crap, and their registration may even be quicker and simpler than myOtaku's. That's pretty damn good.

Oh, and scroll down the page and tell me what kind of pirate I am! All the cool people are gonna.
