The library computer is inhabited by Neo.
Whenever I scroll down a page at this computer, it goes really slow and then speeds up towards the end. It's like ... bullet time scrolling.
Sorry about that.

Damn! Damn damn damn!
I just had a great idea, but I completely forgot what it was! And this wasn't your average great idea either, it was one that was, though maybe at the sacrifice of some greatness, completely, immediately achievable! That just drives me bonkers!
EDIT: I remembered it. ^_^
EDIT DEUX: To clarify, rusty, this style change was the idea.

Happy Day After Labor Day Day.
It's been a good long time since I've posted last, and I am not going to put up a new recipe until I finish my debate work. In fact, I shouldn't even be on here right now, but I know I can get my homework finished in time.
I saw Hero at the movie theater last night, and was very much awesomized. If you ever want to see it, don't wait for it to come out on video. The sound and music are great and you should experience it with theater speakers.
Also, I've got several new layout themes running through my head, and I like them all a good deal. I'm worried that if I do one, I'll forget what the others were when I want to change again.
Books that I am reading/rereading (respectively):
Nineteen Eighty-Four
The Hobbit

New houses are indeed good.
Lots of stuff to talk about.
1. Yesterday was my first full day of school. Debate, which is the only class that I'm truly into, seems to be revving up nicely even though our first tournament is three weeks away.
2. We closed on our new and permanent house today. They're giving us a crapload of stuff along with it, too, including a riding lawnmower, a full size bed, and an entertainment center. They're very nice people.
3. I've started rereading The Hobbit, but the only edition I could find was the one with Nightvision Gollum and a John Goodman lookalike on the front. Also, about a half inch is missing from the middle of the maps where the pages connect. Still, it's The Hobbit.
4. If you're an American, you should be incredibly worried about the upcoming elections. I was up at the university watching the VH1 Bush/Kerry Bling-Off on the bigscreen and a man who looked to be in his forties said to me, "Which one of them's the Democrat?" This man has a Constitutional right to vote.
5. It's settled. We're getting a DSL connection at our new house. I am ecstatic.
6. I haven't had a lot of time to try and get a new recipe up, but it shouldn't be too long.

Was it supposed to be a mohawk or a mullet? Either way, why in hell was it green?
Well, school started today. I was woken up at 6:00 in the morning by a kitten and her horrid whiskers, so I got a head start on things and shuffled downstairs, followed by a parade of hungry animals.
When we got to the high school, I wasn't exactly impressed by the rest of the freshmen and transfers that were there for orientation. All of them were either preps or desperately trying to pull off a punk look. So I didn't meet many new people.
The classes were ok, though, and the teachers I have are really cool (I went into geometry class to see the teaching podium plastered with all manner of stickers - including a Nappy Roots one - and I knew I was in for a good class ^_^).
So I think it could end up being a good school, and I just may like it. As long as I don't have to see that one kid's damned green hair the whole year.

She's just a little old lady from Pasadenaaa....
I couldn't go to church today because when I got up it was already 10:30, my dog had shat in the empty bedroom, vomited downstairs in the living room, and my cat had diarrhea in the that same room. So I had to do my best to clean it up without hurling myself, which would've caused my sister to hurl, and my dog would've eaten it and she would start hurling again, and it would've just been a really long day.
And besides that, we didn't have any 409. So we have poopoo stains on our rugs until we can get back home with a new bottle.
But to top it all off we're only renting this house, so if the stains won't come up the owners will never speak to us again.
But there's no use moping about it. Life will go on and this will become a faint memory of things past.
Oh, learn a new word today.

Papa Giga!
You know what I love? Impulse buying. Like when you're on a road trip, and you stop at one of those uber-huge gas stations that has everything from walking canes to portable TVs. I almost have to tape my hands together to keep from pulling out my wallet.
There was one time on my 8th grade trip to Washington, DC, where we stopped at one of said gas stations, and I saw a lighter up front (that's one of the things that really gets me - lighters) in the shape of a pig. You pulled the red lever on his back and - I am not lying here - flames shot out of his nostrils. Is that not the coolest thing you've ever heard? Naturally, though, none of the chaperones would let me buy it.
But that's what I'm talking about. Whether it be a good or bad decision (most likely a bad one) I love to impulse buy. It's the American way.
