I don't look at myself in the mirror 'cause I'm a narcissist; I simply like to watch myself exist.
Mmkay, Bowser. I don't mean to cramp your style or anything, but I gotta ask. How did you get from this:

To this?

Pool? Yeah. Pool? Oh yeah.
'Twas my sister's birthday yesterday, so today we're skipping school today and going to Topeka to meet up with her best friend from Kansas City, and then we're going to start, um... Topekin' it up.

Nevermind, I just ruined this post.

Raina: Done and done. ^_^

Rus Tym: Technically, the software's not mine, lol. And neither is the computer for that matter. I just get to borrow it for a few years. :P

Baron: Problems: 1) I don't know of any place on the weh-weh-weh that's willing to upload that much stuff for free, 2) I couldn't give them to you on AIM or MSN because you're never on, and 3) They're .app files, so you couldn't use them anyway. :)

Follow that link for more Tally Hallyness. I think you'd like them.

You know what sucks?
When I finally find out that I've had Illustrator, Photoshop, ImageReady, and all the other Adobeness on my computer all year long, I have a ton of stuff to do in math and can't toy around with any of it. 'Cept the main page, done pretty quickly and offhandedly. That there is Tally Hall. Crazy, crazy music that is.

The plan is programmed into every one of my thousand robots!
Thanks for all the comments on that last post, but I've decided to take it down anyway. I had a talk with my brother on the phone a while ago (he visits here occasionally), and I decided it wasn't a great idea to just burst forth like that on the internet, whether I was right or not.

I'm currently trying to get Illustrator on my laptop via the computer-gents at my school. They did it, but I think I screwed something up somewhere along the line. x.O

Dog's been doing better for a while now. I think it's safe to say that whatever was going wrong is better now. Didn't think the last shot the doc gave her would do any good, but I guess it did. Guess I'll have to renounce my theory that veterinery practice is nothing more than a front for an elaborate human trafficking operation. I'll get you next time, Dr. Dolittle!

I've got an awesome addon to Firefox. When you hilight a word and double click on it, it brings up a small windowlet (I'm copyrighting that word) next to the mouse giving a Dictionary.com definition of it. It takes a second to load, which can make it a small hassle sometimes when OSX hilights something wrong (that's a small thing I've noticed with it), but it's still worth it. You can find it at the the Firefox site, if you're interested.

All I have is my love of love, and love is not loviiiing...
I got those Computer Graphics assignments I mentioned before into jpegs. I made them both in Illustrator.

Here's the first one, of a butterfly. It was my first real project, and took forevarz.

And here's the second. This was a pretty fun assignment, where we had to make a person's face using only text characters of any font, and a small bit of scenery around them. For example, the hair is a sideways capital cursive-ish "J", and the sunglasses are a sideways, cursive-ish capital "T". Beyond that, I got pretty lazy and used mostly more J's and parentheses. :P

I also mentioned before (but not on here) that I had an über theory about ghosts and their ghostliness, and that I should post it sometime around Halloween. But I don't feel like it, so oh well.

Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak.
1. Using my keen wit and powers of manipulation, I got Alan to send me a Gmail invite. Using wit even keener and manipulation even more powerful, I accepted it. I've changed my profile accordingly. :)

2. I don't know what I want to do about trick or treaters tomorrow night. I mean, obviously I'm just going to sit here on my ass and give them candy whenever they come up to my door, but it doesn't feel quite complete without having at least contemplated doing something different or humorous or downright mean.

I've never appreciated MS Paint before as much as I do now.
Because now I just so happen to have no art programs whatsoever on my computer, and my avatar has to remain stuck at that picture of Guy leDouche (as awesome as it is). I'd think an OS as art-friendly as OSX would come with something, but I guess not. I've tried running GIMP, but my computer has restricted the files it needs access to to run. I'm about to try Inkscape, though, and hopefully it'll run.

If it does, I'll be having plenty of fun with it, because it's mainly a vector drawing program. And vector drawing is super-cool, as using Illustrator in my Computer Graphics class has taught me.

Speaking of which, I've got a few projects from that class that I want to show here, but they're both in PNG format, and when I zoom them out enough to get a screencap of them, they get all pixellated. And I don't know of any site to upload PNGs at. And one of them's ten megs anyway.

But yeah, I want to get back to making my site look pretty again. I changed the colors a while ago, as you can see, but I really don't like them like that.

I also updated my profile for I think the first time since I registered, lol.

EDIT: Neeeeope. Inkscape doesn't work either. X(

Something keeps him drifting miles and miles away, searching for the songs to play.
Things I Do During Biology (image is a bit messed up)

I've only played the demo, but this pissed-off martial arts rabbit has made me consider heavily and for the first time ever to buy a shareware game. Downloading this demo (cross-platform) is definitely worth your time if you're even remotely into games.

There's also a sequel in planning. I haven't seen any screens yet, but the more I read the official thread, and the more is revealed about it, the better it looks.

Italian leather sofa
I have to say that I am highly disappointed that no one seemed to share my inspiration in creating the best thing ever to happen to the telephone. But hey, if you don't want to share in my inevitable fame and fortune, then that's your decision. I hope you're all happy with the miserable course you've set for yourselves.

Miserable, I say.

For some reason, my dog's been hurting and yelping a lot lately. We think it's something with her neck, but nothing's certain yet. We've taken her to the vet twice now, and neither time did any good at all except for some shots that would help her out for maybe a day, then she would get as bad as ever, if not worse. The last time we took her (two days ago), we were told to wait ten days and see if anything got better, and then take her back again so we could get some x-rays of her neck in case a disc had slipped or something, but we're going to go ahead and take her back tomorrow because she's been doing so bad. =(

I have been getting increasingly more satisfied with life in general lately, though. (Not that I was at all depressed before.) Once again, I cite the weather as the source. Like James commented a while ago, weather can have an uncannily powerful hold on a person's mood.

COLD + CLOUDY = GOOD
COLD + BRIGHT = WTF DIE

Another awesome idea from me! =O
Just a few minutes ago, I was on the phone checking up on the status of our wireless having-been-activated-ness via SBC's auto-answer system (i.e., "press 1 for installation, press 2 for technical support..."), and from the mundane emptiness that occupied my skull at the time, an idea was--without my consent--born, grown, and made to take over all of my conscious thought. This is a great idea. A fantastic idea. It's perhaps (dare I say it?) the best idea I've ever had in the last week month.

So before you erupt into an energy cloud of pure anxiety, I'll just give it to you straight: a giant, auto-answer choose-your-own-adventure game.

The main menu
After you dial the number for the game, you're taken to an initial menu, just like with any auto-answer system. This will give you options for logging in (your character would probably be created on the game's website, which I'll discuss later), checking player ranks, getting news updates, and so on and so forth. To login, your character would have his own number code, so you might dial 1 for login, then dial 98235 to actually log your character in. It would also be possible to use your phone number as your code, so that you could automatically log in without having to dial anything, but that would both limit people to one character per phone line (siblings, remember) and make it to where they can't get in if they're not on their phone.

The game
This should be obvious enough. You can perhaps use your bottom three buttons (*, 0, and #) to look around, check your inventory, and check your state, and you'd use the others to move in a direction or choose an action from the list you're given. Pretty simple stuff, and if it's too complicated to do on a phone system, you could take out the inventory and personal state, and just play the game as it is narrated by the story.

MULTIPLAYORZ?!?!
As I hinted when I talked about being able to check player ranks, multiplayer could very well be an option. By controlling the phones via computer, it could be pretty easy to keep records of different player statuses.

Website
Where news, maps, information, character creation, and troubleshooting would all be centered. Since Alan's so desperate to get me onto his blogroll, maybe he'd be so kind as to do the hosting, eh? ;)

Not that this would ever really happen, but what reason is that to stop thinking about it?
