Windows
Birthday was fun, me and a few friends went out to see V for Vendetta. That is a great, great movie, and it should be seen by all. Except for the main fight scene. Boy, that was bad. I don't think they did, but if the Wachowski Brothers had anything to do with the direction of that, then I'm going to have a grudge against them until they die.
I haven't gotten any presents yet, since even I forgot about it until a week before, lol, but that's not really a concern for me anyway.
Also, our computer, which had been out of commission for over a year now, was finally gotten back to us! Or, well, no it wasn't really. Apparently the guy who was fixing it for us just found us a new computer left over from his work with the same specs, and (finally) Windows XP. Which is absolutely fine by me. :P
But now I'll encounter the name Windows XP every time I start it up, and every time I'll think about the XP smiley. And on that note, Kevin owes me a graphic. A graphic that nobody in the world gets to see, but if you saw it, you'd know why.
But, hrm, yeah, having two OSs in the house is great already. For the longest time I'd gotten into the mindset of "hey, that's great software, too bad there's a 98% chance I can't use it", and now it feels like that door has been flung back open and 15 feet of the wall on either side demolished to make for a better view. I had thought before about buying a MacIntel or future equivalent (whenever I get into a position to buy a computer, that is, which won't be for years and years anyway XP), partitioning the hard drive, and throwing Windows on there, so I can have the best of both worlds in one machine, and now that idea is seeming even more appealing.
Aleia: Well, of course you can. You have to if you want to take pictures from the eyes up. ;o
Raina: So I didn't feel like changing the mode to red-eye. Sue me. :P
Shin: WEE-A-BOO! WEE-A-BOO!
That was the best birthday present ever. Thank you, Shin.
Mimmi: Thank you, Miss Mimmi. -^_^-
