Just a little report

In my recent trip to our local mini-mall, I noticed some anime drawings posted in the activity center – the sign read Animation Drawing Contest. “Interesting…” I said to myself as I looked at the 16 or more drawings made from oil pastels that, from what I believe, kids made. There were some awesome drawings from Dragon Balls, Naruto, One piece and some random mini-monsters I could not even recognize. After a while, the winners were announced. However, I was not there to witness the results. When I returned, I looked around to see the winner, a drawing of Luffy from One Piece by Ginno Beinvenuto. The other drawings were also very good. There were good drawings of Goku, Naruto and another angle of Luffy. I took a picture of it and decided to share it here. Why? I find it delightful that activities like these are being hosted. It gives me hope that maybe one day, a full-blown anime convention might be held here in our city. Just a reminder, I did not draw that picture above, alright? Wish I had met the one who draw it, though. I could have made him join the site. ^^

Curses...

I missed the celebrity chat by a few hours. I was so busy at that time... For those of you confused, that celebrity chat is 10am over here. It's our break time. However, I was so busy doing stuff here and there, not only did I miss taking the break, I completely missed the chat, which, from how I see it, is such a historic milestone. updates

How have you guys been doing? I have been pretty busy lately, and I haven’t updated much. Blame it on the chat – it keeps taking up my spare time. It’s such a great stress reliever, you know? I’m quite surprised to see my rank recently. It says legend. The crazy thing is that I got a PM saying I’ve been promoted to Senior… Maybe it’s a bug. Maybe it will clear up soon… Anyway, the chat – I have met a lot of my friends or those I subscribed to recently. Fun and insane, and I learned a bunch of stuff. The greatest lesson, before you whisper to someone, make sure they are not watching any videos. Apparently, it kills any youtube or anything like it. Plus too much dinging is a pain in the ears. I also heard about this user, shahllen, who, aside from being underage (11), annoyed a lot of the MOD’s. It’s becoming a historic thing in the chatroom. We got chat!

Yesterday was a helluva day for me. *Sigh* Hey, not everyday is rainbows and sunshine, eh? So anyway, finally the chatrooms are out. I even got in early with the "big" names of the site around - including the bossman. I didn't actually had any sensible talk with anyone. Just participated in some random spammage with Sangome and Mewmewpudding. XD The downside is that I keep getting disconnected. It must be my internet connection acting up. It get disconnected and reconnecting to the chat rooms is hard. I find it funny that SG's chat room has more people than the lobby. He hi-jacked the chat room! LOL. It's fun to be around so many insane otakus. This really is a fun site, don't you agree? So, I'll keep trying to reconnect and join the insanity once more. See you around!

Upgrade or Downgrade?

If you guys can still remember, I mentioned some time ago that I will be transferred to a different department. At that time I had no idea what I'll be getting myself into. It turns out to be a promotion, and I'll be supervising a bunch of people. It's cool, I guess. I can manage people and I can handle problems when they arise. Although I heard that I was not the first choice for that position. Nevertheless, I always accept a challenge thrown at me, and I aim for nothing but success. Yeah, I'm just psyching myself up. :D Anyway, today was the formal effect of the office order, and I learned that I'm in for a rough ride. The department lacks equipment, like a computer. Grr... I'll have to put a request for that in management, though I'm doubtful as to when that request will be approved, or filled. Since I don't have a computer, I'm like a wandering person jumping from one vacant computer to another while no one is using them, to get my reports done. It's a pain. I miss my quiet corner where I have a computer almost all to my self. On the brighter side, I think I have managed to solve a problem in my department. I hope it goes well. I don't think I'll be on the net on breaks that often now if I don't secure a PC... Bummer. Well, see you around! ^^

Ten Random Stuff

I swear, these things are getting longer. The last time I remember, it was just 8 random stuff. Now it's 10! I almost forgot about it, but here it goes. 1. I really enjoy taking personality quizes, like Guru. 2. I eat a lot, though remain thin. 3. I usually dose off while traveling to or from the office. It's not a deep sleep thing, though. 4. I am a semi-perfectionist. (is there such a thing?) 5. It's hard for me to identify one favorite anime. 6. I am right-handed. 7. I am running out of random things to post. 8. I have been an otaku member for 5 years now. 9. Color: blue 10. I prefer cookies over cupcakes. There! I finished this one. Hope I don't get tagged anytime soon. :D See you around.

Rubiks!

Yeah, you know that colored cube that got a lot of people stumped. Despite the fact that I had one since I can't remember when, I had no interest in solving that little bugger. There was a time when I was able to solve one, then two, until I got three sides. I thought I was getting warm. Then I learned there's some sort of technique to solving it. I gave it up and threw that old cube at the back of my stuff. Recently though, I saw this person take out a cube, solve it in a few minutes and toss it back in his bag. Interesting... A couple of days later, I learned that my sis is studying how to solve it. I got curious and decided to go get a guide and see how this cube is solved. So far, I am getting it close to completion, following the guide, of course. I am slowly getting the hang of it. I should have done this ages ago.

Promoted at last!

Wow, I just came to upload a wallpaper and boy was I surprised to see my name top the list of promoted to Senior Otaku. After all these years of being a member and finally becoming active, this is a refreshing and wonderful news. Hope I can make it to Legend someday. I see some of my friends over there as well. Changes

I attended a meeting today, and it so happens I will be transfered to another department. It's not a promotion or anything, just an ordinary transfer to another job description. The thought scares me, really. It's not that I am not welcoming the change. It's just that I will be thrown in a pit full of problems. I'm up to the challenge, but a part of me is wondering if I really fit the bill. It matches my qualification, in any case. If only the department I'll go to is more organized. It just means more work for me to get things fixed and running smoothly. I have a feeling this will be hell. It's a good thing I have some previous experiences to rely on. But still, the situation is miles away from what I had experienced before. Will I pull it off? I must, that's all I am telling myself now, though one side of me is saying that I'm screwed.
