If you were to ask the MyOtaku Genie a wish, what would it be?
-The members list returned?
-A better comment box?
-A box of Oreos?
-A bag of Doritos?
Ah, I think I am going insane! ^_^

Not much going on... I am having a hectic week, and I am somewhat managing...
My current lack of sleep is starting to get the best of me when I try to roll out of bed... I feel like a walking zombie... Unfortunately I need to hurry the pace for I need to get to work.
*Sigh*

Reconnecting Two Otakus
Because of the V V upgrade, MyOtaku (MyO) has been separated from its brother, TheOtaku.
I have been really bothered by this since it has literally split the community in two. Although the damage has already been done, I have some ideas which might help the two brother sites find each other once more…
My concept revolves around the concept that MyOtaku will be exclusive to old Members, and Worlds to everyone. That way, it will distinguish those who have stuck for so long, from the rest of the World.
MyO-TheO Reconnection Plans:
1. Place a MyO Link in the Portfolio, only available to old users with MyO site, below Worlds
2. Transfer a “Friends list” in TheO backroom, maybe before Category Subscriptions. It could be titled, MyOtaku Subscriptions, or MyOtaku Friends. This will show updates made in MyOtaku.
3. TheO users must be able to comment in MyO as well, even though they have no account there.
4. MyO users should still be able to customize their sites to the fullest.
5. Comments for MyO is preferred in the “Pop-up” version, though the design can be similar to TheO comment layout.
6. It is doubtful whether TheO BB scripts can be used for MyO.
7. Posting for MyO will still be done in MyO backroom-which allows html/css.
8. Retain the old MyO backroom, add a Members List for MyO, listing recent updates.
9. Upgrades for MyO with TheO technology can be limited to the color schemes, new layout, transparent tables, new emoticons, most BB scripts… However, HTML will still be allowed. It’s the least that can be done to old MyO members who love the customization and personalization thing. Should the upgrade result to temporary demolished pages, notice should be made to all MyO members, so they could, at least, back-up their current settings.
10. Have I mentioned that MyO is preferred from Worlds because of the customization?
Well, those are just my ideas… A lot depends upon the ability of the front-end and back-end programmers, as well as if this entire thing is possible, anyway.
I know, I lack a lot of ideas in some aspects, but if I could shed some light in this matter, maybe giving our technical crew a little idea to work on, maybe that will keep the ball rolling.
What do you think?

Ah, I can see my quiz results again. That surely was a close one...
Anyway, last weekend was somewhat good for me, for I was able to do lots of stuff - mostly got back on drawing.
I have been practicing with coloring my art by hand again. I am using color pencils, though 11 colors, and 1 classic gold isn't much. But I can somehow mix colors to add more depth to my drawings.
I also have been cleaning, and catching some z's.
That's all for now. See ya!

I have uploaded a new wallpaper here, and though it did not reach the front page of TheO, it got some decent views...
I have checked out the stats of my uploaded art. You know what I have noticed? There are more "hugs" than there are views... How can that be possible? Then I remembered that one of my wallpapers had 3 digit views in the last version... I was worried that it might have been wiped during the upgrade. True enough, it was reset to some 1 digit count... But it had a 3 digit "hugs" ~_~ Ok... so I guess the old views were converted to "hugs", go figure... At least it wasn't wiped clean...
I also viewed my old posts in MyO... a trip down memory lane. Found my first posts and all...
Sure wish it was MyO that was upgraded, instead of the creation of worlds...
Well, see you around. ^_^
===Update===
My posts with reference to TheO submitted works are all gone... This is so troublesome...

My Quiz Results are GONE!
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!
and i wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't read Cosmic Sailor's comment in Adam's page...
Pages and pages of Quiz results down the drain.
I have been really patient with the big mess that happened after V V, but this is the last straw.
Adam and company better fix this thing up or I'm throwing a fit.

Yesterday a close friend of mine graduated and I was tasked to be the camera man. I haven't handled a videocam before so I was a bit hesitant, but accepted the task anyway.
It's a good thing that when I was in college I worked as a writer for Audio-Visual Presentations in this company, so I have some idea with regards to basic cinematography.
Ah, thank goodness today's stuff are very user friendly, so despite the fact that nobody taught me how to use the camera, I was able to pull it off nicely, except for a few errors. But it was cool.
The shots were good, except for some. But it wasn't mostly my fault - the subject wasn't very cooperative. hehehe... for crying out loud, listen to the "director" people. ^_^
It's tough covering a live event, rather than a directed one like in film. You have to anticipate a lot of stuff. So there I was, running around the place so I could get a good angle, and a good position. My legs hurt from all the standing and running around. At least I was able to document the whole 2-3 hour event and compress it to some 3-4 minute video focusing only on the major event and of course, my subject.
Overall grade on my short graduation film: passed.

Maintaining two blogs is so troublesome.
I just wish that the Bossman could do something about this. Upgrading the MyOtaku system with some (not all) of the Worlds sytem would be nice, like:
1. Ability to break posts to different pages
2. Semi-transparent table backgrounds
however, I think he should reconsider the comment box. I still prefer the old comment box. Then there's the "no-html allowed" thing. I mean, ok, it would be hard for users who have hacked the MyO layout to near death should a new MyO system was launched. But if html and css is still allowed, I think they'll forgive the bossman for resetting their pages. At least we'll be having a new system that is better than this current "Downgraded" version.
Hoping for the best.

It seems that I am not the only one worried about the future of our on-line home, MyOtaku...
A lot of otakuites are worried about what will happen, specially with the removal of the PM system. Adam cleared some of the gray areas in his MyO site. I haven't checked his Worlds account yet. (this is so troublesome, jumping from one blog to another...)
MyO seems very depressing after the V V launch - downgrade and all. However, we should trust the Bossman to do the right thing - that is, keep MyO and fix this big mess up.
I have been here for a long time, and if had been as active now when I had initially joined, I might as well be an Otaku Legend, hehehe...
But anyway, I'm glad that our sentiments as long-term members of this Community was heard. Let's just hope that it's not too late to stop some old members from leaving.
I am hoping for the best.
