I'm starting a story called Dark Light. The plots kinda simple, but hey, Need something to do to pass the time. Plus, it's different from my poems, and I'm too easily bored.
Chapter One
Reena's own soul.
The moon shined through Keith's window. He sighed, thinking about his day.
"Hm... Why is life so boring?" He said out loud.
"Careful what'cha wish for." Isaid when I walked into his room. "Sometimes, you can't handle what you want."
"Really?" He rolled his eyes. "And I believe you, why?"
"Personal experience." I sat down next to him and looked outside. "It's not a good idea to be this close to a window at night."
"Oh yeah. Why not?"
"Tell ya a secret." I winked at him. "There's a war going on. The longer you stay here, the more likely it is, that you'll become a target."
"Oh, really? Ya don't say?" He said bored. "Target for what?"
"Things... demons... vampires... werewolves. You know. Jeez, didn't your parents ever tell you stories?"
Keith scowled at me.
"Oh, right. I forgot..." I sighed as I looked back outside.
Keith's parents were murdered three years ago. The crime, never solved. He lives with his grandma. I was hired as his baby sitter around five years ago by his mother. Keith ignores the facts and tries to act like it doesn't bother him.
Keith wants to know what happened to his parents. Sadly, I'm the only one he knows, that could tell him.
I thought about it as he began to wave his hand infront of my face.
"Reena? Hello? Wake up!" He smacked me.
"Hey. What was that for?"
"Pay attention. Look." He pointed outside. "Do you see that?"
A dark figure stood looking at us. I swallowed hard. I knew who it was, and what he wanted.
"Keith, nothings out there. It's time for bed." I said calmly, as though I didn't see Ivan looking at us.
Keith grumbled and walked over to his bed. I waited until he was asleep, and walked outside to meet with my brother.
"Ivey." He grabbed my arm.
"What do you want Ivan?" My tone went cold as I shoved his hand off my arm.
"I need you back. You need to let Reena go. Leave her soul alone."
"No, I can't. Not until Keith finds out the truth."
"What, that we saw his parents get slaughtered? Yeah, great."
"Ivan! I know what I'm doing. I need her soul, for just a little longer."
That's all you get for now. You've all lost interest, haven't you?
