Ivory Moon ; Crimson Katana.
This is the first chapter of my story (title above) Hope you like it!

Chapter 1: The Assassin and The Bounty Huntress

The planet Creelan is a deadly place to go, especially at night. For this planet is the home planet of most assassins, bounty hunters, dragons and murderous aliens. It is on a beautiful starry night that our story begins.
The bounty huntress Chikaru Ayran (a.k.a. Ivory Moon) was on one of her many sweeps of Creelan. The night seemed normal enough.
"Arrow, tell me again why I have to do this tonight?" She asked of her ship's computer.
"Chikaru, you know that the assassin that you're after, the Crimson Katana has been active lately. You know, the one with a 10,000,000 gold coin bounty on her head –" began Arrow in its usual snappy tone.
"Here we go again," said Chikaru rolling her eyes.
"You know, with ten million gold coins you could get me some sweet upgrades! Not only that but you could finally get your hair cut better than your feeble attempts with your fathers old katana!"
Chikaru looked at her frayed black hair, and replied snappily, "Shut up and give me a mirror!" She looked at her reflection, same amber eyes, same fraying black hair, same pale complexion, and the same single fang hanging over her upper lip. Her long catlike body swathed in its normal red and black clothes. "It's not that bad…" She shook her head and put the mirror away. She set the ship on auto pilot so she could scan the ground for signs of the assassin.
As she did so the ship's alarm system went off and Arrow said, "Well, well, well… I think we've found our quarry… Ok, Ivory Moon, you'd better catch her this time."

Takara Blade, (a.k.a. the Crimson Katana) delivered the final blow to the man she was sent to assassinate. She didn't like killing but hey, she was getting paid wasn't she? She began to clean her sword when her elongated elf ears picked up the sound of an approaching bounty hunter's ship.
"For the love of the goddesses! Must she follow me everywhere!?" She sheathed her sword and began to run in the opposite direction, her long auburn hair steaming behind her. She closed her blue eyes knowing what would happen if that stupid bounty huntress, and her stupid computer, caught up with her. She couldn't get her money, so she couldn't feed her self or her brother. Her life had been so complicated since her mother died. She'd had to become an assassin, to feed herself. And now this 'Ivory Moon' character was on her tail, again! Sometimes she wished that there wasn't a 10,000,000 gold coin bounty on her head. She turned to confirm her thoughts about Ivory Moon, and (what a surprise!) it was that famous bounty huntress.
"Hey! Moon girl! Try and catch me! You haven’t been able to before!" shouted Takara to get on Ivory's nerves. Ivory always lost her once she was angry.
"Shut up, Katana! You're mine this time!"
"Really? I thought I'm the computer with the high Tec nets and weapons and stuff..." muttered her computer, sounding very irritated.
"Awww, shut up, Arrow!"
"While she's busy with her stupid computer I'll make my get away…" muttered Takara as she slipped into a dark alley and out of sight from Ivory Moon.

"Hey… where's Katana… WE LOST HER AGAIN!!!!" screamed Chikaru.
"Hey, what do you mean we? I had nothing to do with this!" said Arrow slyly.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" Chikaru sighed. "Whatever…" Arrow stared talking but Chikaru wasn't listening. She knew that if she didn't get some money, and fast, then her father would die of the sleeping sickness. With no money she couldn't buy any medicine, and with no medicine… her father would die, just like her mother. Most people on Creelan were or were soon to be orphans like her. It was a hard place to live even in the best of times. She became dimly aware that Arrow's speech was almost over, and started nodding.
"So Cat girl, what do we do next?" asked Arrow using her favorite nickname to try to get her into high spirits,
“I think it's time to go home to check on my dad—I mean the Lord Tarin." Chikaru had almost called her father the lord of all half cat half humans by that childish word of affection that he forbade her to speak. Sure he could be stern and foreboding sometimes but he was still her father and anyway weren't all kings supposed to be a bit strict?
They were about to turn towards home when Arrow said, "Ummmmm…Chikaru…"
"What? What's wrong, Arrow? You sound scared…"
"Well…You have a message from Ryou…"
"WHAT?!?" thundered Chikaru. "That lying scumbag who gave my father, I mean the Lord Tarin, the Sleeping sickness??!!"
"The very same."

Takara hurried to the abandoned warship, she wanted to get there before that troublesome Cat girl caught up with her again. Plus it had been a long night and she wanted food and rest.
"I— I did what you told me to… can I have my pay?" Takara asked breathlessly.
"Here, kid," muttered the man standing in the shadows tossing her a small sack. She weighed it, as a look of disgust crossed her face. There was barely enough money to feed herself, let alone her brother. She grudgingly took the insufficient pay.
As she left, her wrist communicator lit up with a face on it that she recognized all too well: Ryou, The man who killed her mother.
