Double Trouble (YYH) Part 3- Secrets Revealed and an attack
VAIN: “Before you start Koenma, I would appreciate it if you would allow me to take my brother to the infirmary. He has a cold and I do not wish it to progress.” KOEN: “I can’t let you go alone.” VAIN: “Send Boton with me.” KOEN: “Okay, but first you have to put these on.” VAIN: “Honestly Koenma. Do you actually think I would run off again?” KOEN: “Yes, now put them on while I contact Boton.” He hands Vain two silver bracelets, he puts one on and goes over and puts the other on Furian. KOEN: “She’s on her way.” KUWA: “What are those bracelet thingies?” KOEN: “They are a high tech tracking unit. If they step out side of this building and alarm will sound notifying all of my guards, and you guys of course.” Just then a very happy girl with blue hair tied up in a ponytail and wearing a pink kimono bursts through the doors. GIRL: “Where are they?” she asks in an excited tone of voice. KOEN: “Calm down Boton, they’re right over there.” He says gesturing to Vain and Furian. Boton runs at top speed and pounces on Vain.

BOT: “It’s been five years. Where have you been? We’ve been so worried.” VAIN: “Boton…Can’t… breathe…” he says between gasps. Boton instantly lets go. KOEN: “Boton will you please escort Vain and Furian to the infirmary.” BOT: “Sure, but what happened?” VAIN: “Well my brother has a really bad cold and then these bakas (gestures towards the boys) knocked him out with a wind wing.” BOT: “How could you!! After all they’ve been through, how could you do that!!?!” she says while slapping each boy in the process. KOEN: “Calm down, Boton. They don’t know yet.” BOT: “Oh, sorry. Heh,heh,heh.”

With that, Vain walks over and picks his brother up bridal style and heads out the door towards the infirmary, Boton right beside him. Once they were out of earshot, Boton asked the one question that was bothering her. BOT: “Hey Vain, why don’t you want the boys to know your real name?” VAIN: “Because, I met them once and I don’t think that I am ready to tell them my true identity. I was hoping to keep it a secret until they get used to me, and I to them.” BOT: “Okay, that makes since. Well, anyway…..”

In Koenma’s office

YUS: “So what was that all about?” KOEN: “I guess I’ll have to explain everything now. Our agents found both Vain and Furian when they were young. Vain was about five and Furian was around three. Their parents were killed in the Auros Costa incident. You two might recall that.” He said while gesturing to Hiei and Kurama. HIEI: “Hn. Yeah.” KURA: “Yes we have. The Akitchi clan went head to head with the Sarotashi clan in an all out battle for power, if I am not mistaken. But, none survived.” KOEN: “You have the right battle, but your information is off. There were two that survived. Children to be exact.” Everyone, except Kuwabara- who looks confused- had a shocked expression on their faces as they figured out that he was talking about the two boys who had just left the room. KUWA: “I don’t get it. Who were the two that survived?” YUS: “You idiot. He’s talking about Vain and Furian.” KUWA: “Oh.”


KOEN: “ As I was saying. We brought them back here, trained them, and raised them to be my two best Spirit Detectives ever.” YUS: “Even better then Me!?! You have got to be kidding Koenma!” KOEN: “They were and I’m not kidding Yusuke.” KUWA: “But when shorty fought the one he had a hard time beating him.” KURA: “Yes I would also like to know why, if they were your best, that he couldn’t defeat Hiei easily.” KOEN: “That’s easy. Furian, the wind demon, likes to fight at 60% of his strength. While Vain, our fire demon never fights above 20% strength. So, its safe to say that if Vain fought on a higher power level, none of you would be alive right now.” The boys stand there in shock. HIEI: “What do you mean he only fought at 20% of his strength!?!” Koenma just smiled at him. Before he could continue his story the alarm sounded. KOEN: “I knew they’d try something. Team get to the infirmary ASAP, and stop them.” YUS: “On our way Koenma sir.” With that the boys rushed out of the room and towards the infirmary where a battle had already begun.

Before the alarm with Vain/Boton

They had just walked into the infirmary and Vain set his brother down on one of the beds. Boton hadn’t stopped talking ever since they left Koenma’s office. BOT: “Oh, and on their last mission-“ “Boton, go find Dr. Madesashi” Vain cut her off. BOT: “Right away.” With that she left to go and get the only doctor that Vain in trusted his and his brother’s health’s with. After Boton left Furian started to wake up. VAIN: “Oh Furian, thank goodness you’re awake. Here let me take your mask off.” He bent down and entered a color combo- there are seven circles, each a different color, set on the right cheek of the mask- and removed his mask to reveal a pale and sweating boy, no older than 14. He had dark brown spiked hair. FURIAN: “Wha…What happened, Vain? Where are we?” VAIN: “Shhh. It’ll be okay. We’re at Koenma’s right now. While we are here we should use our alias’s.” Furian: “Okay, but I’m sorry I couldn’t help. I didn’t feel their spirit energy approach.” VAIN: “Neither did I Furian, neither did I.” Furian looks up to see his brother’s arm bleeding with a big gash in it. FURIAN: “You’re bleeding. You should get that looked at.” VAIN: “Thanks bro but I’ll be alright. I’m just glad that you’re okay.”

“Oh, such a touching scene. I’m heart warmed.” Says a sarcastic voice from behind the both of them. Vain: “What do you want now Baroku?” he asked as he turned around to come face to face with another demon. He was about 5’11 with waist length light blue hair and cold, deep blue eyes. He was wearing a white Kimono with a katana strapped to his side. BARO: “I want you or course my angel. If you come along peacefully then no one will get hurt. Remember our deal.” VAIN: “That’s where you’re wrong. I never made a deal, you were the one who made a deal without my permission. You are going to DIE!” With that he lunged at Baroku ready to throw a punch to his stomach but at the last second Baroku shoots an energy beam at him. Boton comes in just as Vain was hit with the beam. Vain goes hurdling toward the wall and crashes through the window, setting off the alarm. As he is falling Baroku flies out of the broken window and throws a hard blow to his stomach, sending him to the ground hard. BOT: “NO, VAIN!!” FURIAN: “Brother!!” they yell at the same time as they see Vain plummet to the ground and create a crater as he lands, not moving. Baroku lands a few yards away from him.

BOT: “Stay here Furian, I’ll go get help.” FURIAN: “No way, I’m coming with you.” On the way out the door he grabs his mask and puts it on as they rush down the hallway. As they turn a corner to head outside they run right into the gang. Everyone ends up in a pile on the floor. BOT: “Get off of me! We have an emergency. Kuwabara don’t you dare touch me.” Every one pulls themselves off the floor. YUS: “We know they’re getting away. We need to stop them.” BOT: “If they were getting away then why would I have Furian with me!?!” All the boys look behind Boton and indeed there is Furian. KURA: “What’s wrong if they’re not trying to escape?” KUWA: “Hey where’s the other guy?” YUS: “I would like to know that also.” HIEI: “Hn, the stupid ningen actually said something smart.” KUWA: “Watch it shorty” HIEI: “Don’t call me that!” The two start to bicker until Boton interrupts. BOT: “Like I said we have an emergency. Vain has been attacked. They’re fighting out side as we speak. We need to help him. Let’s go.” With that she started dragging all four guys outside while Furian followed.

Out Side with Vain

Vain had just slammed into the ground. Unbearable pain was shooting through his body. He knew he had a couple of broken ribs. BARO: “Is that all you have. I was expecting more from you Vain. I guess I win and you are now mine.” VAIN: “Not…yet” he strains out. Vain slowly stands up, his spirit energy rising to 35%. Just then the gang comes out to the front courtyard to see Vain and an unknown demon in a stand off. KUWA: “Look at the size of that hole.” He says pointing to the giant crater in the middle of the field. KURA: “Vain is raising his spirit energy. This new demon must be strong.” HIEI: “Hn. I could take him.” BOT: “Then why don’t you go over there and help him out!!” she shouts. Furian had already begun to go to his brother’s aid, the boys followed. BARO: “Lightening wrap!” he yells and a sting of lightening shoots towards Vain. Because of his injuries Vain doesn’t have time to dodge. The attack hits him and wraps around his body like a chain. Then it let’s out a wave of electricity. Vain let’s out an ear splitting scream and collapses to the ground, completely drained of energy once again. The boys rush to his aid.

BARO: “Stop right there if you don’t want me to kill Vain.” All the boys stop in their tracks, as Baroku seems to disappear and then reappear holding Vain by the neck. FURIAN: “Let Vain go you monster.” BARO: “Now tell me Furian, why would I want to let the greatest prize of all go?” VAIN: “I am no prize” he spits out. BARO: “Oh, but you are. Now give me the combination to remove the mask.” FURIAN: “Why would I do a thing like that?” BARO: “Because if you don’t I’ll kill him, or should I say her.” KUWA: “What do you mean, her?” BARO: “Exactly what I said.” All the boys stand there shocked that this, possibly one of the strongest demons in the worlds, is a girl. BARO: “Now give me the code or you can kiss your pretty little sister goodbye. Don’t worry I’ll give her back after, she’s too beat up for me to do what I want. But, as soon as she is better, I’ll be paying you a visit. Now, what is the code.” FURAIN: “The code is blue, purple, black, red, green, pink.” He answers in defeat as Baroku enters the code on the mask. It falls off and lands on the ground. Vain’s hair is covering her face so no one can see it. BARO: “My thanks, I’ll just give her a little kiss goodbye and take back the spirit energy she made me waste.” FURAIN: “Don’t you lay a hand on her.” YUS: “Yeah leave him…err, her alone, or else.” BARO: “Or else what? You can’t harm me.” With that he puts up a barrier and expands it to send the team flying into the wall.

With this done Baroku turns Vain around and presses his lips upon hers. Her body starts to glow a dark green color as Baroku drains what remaining energy she has left. When he is done he simply tosses her towards the boys. She lands about 20ft. from them. BARO: “Remember my promise. I will be back for her,” with that he just disappears. At this point Koenma comes outside and sees all of the damage and also Vain on the ground, motionless. KOEN: “Oh my gosh, Vain!” he yells as he rushes over to her. Furian does the same thing and the gang and Boton follow behind. Koenma and Furian arrive at the same time and Furian takes his sister’s head and puts it in his lap. Furian: “It’s okay, you’ll be okay. I’m here now. Please open your eyes.” He pleaded. Nothing happens. The gang finally arrives at the spot and they all look at the body lying on the ground. Three of the boys recognize the girl that lies before them. KUWA: “It…It’s KAI!” he yells. YUS: “Very perceptive genius.” KOEN: “You guys know her!?!” KURA: “Yes we met at school yesterday. That’s what we were going to talk to you about when you sprung a mission on us.” KUWA: “So she could of beat HIEI! Wow, I didn’t even sense her spirit energy.” KURA: “Nor did I.” FURIAN: “Koenma we need to get her some help.” KOEN: “Right, let’s go get this girl to the Infirmary, on the double, move it! I don’t want her dead.” With that Furian picked up his sister and they all rushed to the Hospital wing.

Double Trouble (YYH) part 2- A night of surprises
Second one is finally out and dedicated to InuyashaArtist.

“It WHAT!?!” yells Yusuke and Kuwabara at the same time. Kurama stands there with a look of confusion on his face and Hiei has a slight look of shock, but quickly turns back to his normal emotionless self. KOEN: “like I said, the sword has the power to heal; it cannot kill.” YUS” “What would the point be in having a weapon that doesn’t kill people?” KUR: “I think they have something bigger planned.” KOEN: “I agree. You guys are assigned guard duty tonight to stop them. Do not kill them, we need them to join the team.” HIEI: “Hn. This won’t be hard at all.” They all exit through the doors to ready themselves for the night ahead. KOEN: “I hope your right Hiei. I hope your right.” He says once the team is out of earshot.

Outside Koenma’s Vault

Two people stalk the shadows in the dead of night, waiting for their chance to hit the vault. They wear baggy black pants, that make no sound and are very easy to fight and move in, a black long sleeve shirt, black soundless sneakers, a knee length black cloak that covers their heads and a black mask to hide their faces. The first has glowing red eyes and the second has bright green eyes. Together they stalk all three worlds and are known as some of the best thieves ever. They are known by most as the Midnight Stalkers.

“Okay, here’s the plan Furian: we get in, crack open the vault, grab the sword and get out as quick and as silent as possible.” The one with the red eyes says to the one with green eyes, whose name is Furian. The voice is soft and masculine, and flows like silk. FURIAN: “Do you have your kit to open the safe, Vain?” VAIN: “Yeah, let’s go.” They both lock their masks in place and head out of the forest that they were taking cover in, and silently creep towards Koenma’s vault. After a few minutes of stalking through the shadows, the two of them finally reach the entrance to the vault. VAIN- from this point on only talk to me through telepathy, okay?- he says in Furian’s mind. FURIAN- right- he answers back. Vain pulls a small black box out of his cloak pocket and opens it to find a water like key inside. He takes the key and places it in the keyhole. The water key takes the shape of the door lock and forms into the precise shape to open the door. Vain slowly unlocks the door and pushed it open, but only about a centimeter. He places his ear to the door to make sure nobody was around. Nothing. He thinks to himself. They both walked in cautiously as Vain put a mind barrier around his and his brother’s minds so no one could detect them.

A few weeks ago, Vain had stolen the blue prints to Koenma’s vault so they knew exactly where to go. They both walked down a long hallway with many doors on either side. When they had neared the end they stopped in front of a bookcase. Vain walked up to the bookcase and continued to walk right through it. Furian followed. The room they had just entered was like an entrance hall in a king’s throne room. It had stone floors with a big red and gold carpet leading to a giant metal door. VAIN: “This is it Furian.” He says in his silky voice. FURIAN: “Yeah, let’s hurry and get this sword so we can go home.” VAIN: “I’m with you there, bro. This place gives me the creeps.” His brother nods his head in agreement as the two of them walk quietly towards the safe doors.

With the Gang

KUWA: “So what’s this thing supposed to do?” he holds up a small remote control. KURA: “It’s a special device that will cause great pain to any wind type demon it is pointed at. It is called a wind wing.” YUS: “That’s nice and all, but only one of them is a wind demon right?” KURA: “Yes which means…” Hiei finishes his sentence with slight amusement in his voice. HIEI: “We get to fight the other one.” KURA: “Yes, but if for some reason things don’t turn out right, Koenma also gave us this gas bomb that will weaken and put any fire demon to sleep. But, it would also effect Hiei.” KUWA: “Hey guys, are there supposed to be people in there.” He says pointing to a t.v. screen on the wall. YUS: “Let’s go bag us some demons.” The boys walk out of the room they were in and head towards the vault entrance.

In the vault

Vain’s back is turned on his brother as he tries to open the door. He is almost finished when he hears a gasp and a “Vain…run…” from Furian. VAIN: “Furian what’s wrong.” He asks quickly turning just to see the spirit detectives with a wind wing pointed at his brother. Vain sees that he is in great pain and rushes over to catch him just in time as he collapses unconscious. His eyes start to glow a murderous blood red as he sets his brother down on the ground gently and stands to face the boys. With just a flick of his wrist he shoots a fire ball at the wind wing, disintegrating it upon contact. All the boys stare at Vain with a look of awe except for Kuwabara who looks as he’s about to faint, he was the one holding the wind wing. Vain says in a deadly clam voice that sends chills up all the boys spines, even Hiei, VAIN- “No body hurts my family and gets away with it. Who am I to fight first.” A smirk plays across his face even though the boys cannot see it.

Kuwabara steps forward: “Spirit sword” he yells as a sword made of spirit energy forms in his hands. He charges at Vain, and at the last second Vain side steps and trips him, sending him flying into the wall unconscious. Yusuke steps forward and puts his hands in the shape of a gun and points it at him. YUS: “Spirit Gun” he shouts as a ball of blue spirit energy went hurdling toward Vain. A smile plays across Vain’s face as he simply puts out his hands and catches Yusuke’s attack and throws it back at him. It hits Yusuke square in the chest and sends him flying into the wall. He is not unconscious but he is in no condition to fight. Kurama begins to step forward but Hiei holds out his hand to stop him. Kurama looks over to see a slight smile upon his face and willingly steps back to let Hiei fight. Hiei unsheathes his katana and heads towards Vain. Vain also draws his katana and gets into a fighting stance ready for the attack.

Hiei charged at him but Vain jumps over him and quickly turns around to slash his back but Hiei’s too fast and he disappears and reappears behind Vain in an attempt to attack him. Vain turned around just in time to block his attack. As the two blades met they created sparks and then the both of them shattered. Both fighters toss their blades aside and continue to fight using hand-to-hand combat. They were moving so fast that the other three boys (Kuwabara woke up) couldn’t keep up. This went on for about ten minutes. When both of them reappear on opposite ends of the room they’re both beat up and have cuts and bruises all over their bodies. During the fight the hood of Vain’s cloak fell down to reveal long, mid-length dark brown hair, held in a high ponytail. KUWA: “Hey that guy has long hair just like you Kurama.” KURA: “Thanks, I think.”

HIEI: “Fists of the mortal flame.” He yells as he sends a punch fueled by fire shooting towards Vain. Vain has just enough time to put a shield up to block his attack. The two attacks collide and create a huge explosion that destroys half of the room. When the smoke and dust clears it reveals both Vain and Hiei lying on the ground. Both fighters start to get up slowly. As he stands, Vain feels a pain sweep through his left arm. He looks down and sees a gash in his arm stretching from the shoulder all the way to his wrist, and it’s bleeding badly. Vain looks over at Hiei to see that he holds his broken sword in his hands and it’s dripping with blood. His blood.

VAIN: “I’m amazed. No one has ever gotten the better of me before. I congratulate and thank you on a great fight. But now my brother and I will be leaving.” He starts to head towards his brother’s body when Kurama jumps in-between the two. KURA: “I’m sorry, but I can’t let you leave Vain.” VAIN: “Well we are just going to have to change that, know aren’t we, fox?” Kurama seems confused as to how he knew he was a fox demon, but quickly brushed it aside. KURA: “Hiei, run!” he says as he throws a small silver ball towards Vain. Hiei is out the door in no time flat as the ball lands a foot away from Vain and a red mist erupts from it and swirls around him. Vain can feel his spirit energy and strength draining and he collapses in a heap on the floor. Although the mist didn’t knock him unconscious, it did deplete all of his strength and he is now paralyzed.

Hiei reenters the room. KUWA: “I thought it was supposed to knock him out.” KURA: “Indeed, but I guess he-“ Hiei cut him off HIEI: “was strong enough to withstand that side effect. But, not the weakening one.” KURA: “Exactly.” YUS: “Guys, maybe we should get them to Koenma’s before he gets his strength back and decides to TEAR OUR HEADS OFF!!” All the boys looked in Vain’s direction. And indeed, his hand was starting to move slightly. KURA: “Your right. Hiei if you will get Vain then I will get Furian.” HIEI: “hn.” Is all he says before he makes his way towards Vain as Kurama heads for Furian. VAIN: “No, please. Let him go. Take me.” Everyone is take aback by his sudden outburst and plea. KURA: “I’m sorry, but we have orders to bring the both of you to Koenma. No harm will come to either of you.” Vain shakes his head slowly, partly from the mist and partly from the admittance of defeat. Hiei picks him up and throws him over his shoulder while Kurama picks Furian up bridal style, and they all headed out towards Koenma’s office. After about ten minutes of turning down too many halls to count the group finally stops out front of two big red doors.

Yusuke and Kuwabara open the doors and every body walks inside. There is a couch on the right wall and a wooden desk in the center of the room with a big red chair behind it. There are five other chairs in front of the desk. Sitting in the chair behind the desk is a toddler. VAIN: “Koenma…” he says in acknowledgment. KOEN: “Vain… Kurama I thought you activated the weakening gas.” KURA: “I did, but we believe that he is strong enough to withstand the sleeping effects.” Hiei throws Vain on the floor in front of Koenma’s desk. With much pain and effort Vain was able to sit up, to every ones, except Koenma’s, surprise.

YUS: “Okay, how do you two know each other and how are you able to move so much.?” The first question was directed towards Koenma and the second towards Vain. KOEN: “ All will be explained if you just listen. Kurama would you please help K-“ Vain cut him off very forcefully VAIN: “It’s Vain!” he stresses and with a pleading look to Koenma, he understands that Vain doesn’t want his true identity revealed. KOEN: “Very well, Kurama could you help Vain into his chair?” With a nod of his head he sets Furian on the couch and walks over and helps Vain into a chair. All the boys take a sit down as well, two to either side of Vain. KOEN: “Where to start…Okay! I know both Vain and Furian because…”

Double Trouble (YYH) part 1- The Beginning


I am introducing some new characters. Here are their stats.


Kaileya Kurayami (most people just call her Kai). She is 16 and has mid back dark brown hair and light crystal gray eyes. She is the same size as Hiei. Her younger brother Tai, he is 14 but they both look exactly alike, with the exception of eye color and hair length (Tai’s eyes are a light sky teal and his hair is cut short and spiked). When Kai was five and Tai was three, they were apparently abandoned by their parents and since then they have lived alone together and trained very hard to keep their powers in tact. Their mother was a wind demon and their father was a most powerful fire demon. Kai takes after her father and is mostly fire demon and Tai takes after his mother and is mostly a wind demon. When the two combine their powers they become a powerful force to be reckoned with.

They live in a small one room apartment. Kai sleeps in the bedroom and Tai sleeps on the pull out couch. It is decorated however you wish to imagine it. It’s their first day of starting a new school (the one the Yu-Yu gang goes to, Sariaski). A high pitch buzzing sound wakes Kai from a dreamless sleep. She is not a morning person but she manages to pull herself out of bed, take a shower, get dressed into the new school uniform, and fix her hair.

She exits the room to find her brother already eating breakfast . Kai walks to a cabinet in their semi- kitchen and pulls out a box of cereal (any kind) and sits down to eat it straight from the box. Tai- “So how did you sleep Kai?” Kai- “On my back.” Tai gives a little chuckle and says in a sarcastic kind of tone Tai- “Being your usual perky self I see.” Kai- “Shut it, Tai. We should hurry up and get to school. We don’t want to be late for the first day.” Tai- “Right.”


They walk to school and head to the office to get their schedules. They approach the front desk. Kai- “Excuse me. We’re here to pick up our schedules.” Lady behind desk- “And your names?” Kai- “Kai and Tai Kurayami.” She digs through a folder of papers and pulls out two white slips. She finally takes a look at you and says- Lady “Oh sorry, I thought you were in different grades. I’ll change your schedule right away.” Tai- “That’s not necessary. We are in different grades.” Lady- “Oh it’s just that you look so much alike I thought you were twins.” Tai- “Yeah we get that a lot.” She hands them their schedules and gives a small confused smile. Both nod their heads in thanks and head to their first classes. Since Tai is two grades younger he heads to the opposite side of the school as his sister. Kai’s first class is math. Kai “Great, they’re trying to kill me on my first day,” she mumbles to herself as she heads off to class. She walks in and hands her information to the teacher, Mr. Akito. Akito- “Class we have a new student. Please welcome Kai Kurayami. Well Miss Kurayami, why don’t you tell us a little bit about yourself?” She replies in an emotionless tone- Kai- “How about not.” The whole class stares at her like she’s crazy for talking back to a teacher. Mr. Akito- “Very well then, but, I must inform you that your attitude will not be accepted. Since this is your first day here I will make an exception. You can take a seat next to Shuichi. Shuichi please raise your hand so she knows who you are.” A boy with long red hair and emerald green eyes raises his hand. Kai walks to the back of the classroom and sits down on his right (Yes he goes here but, Hiei does not). He smiles at her as she sits down.

Shuichi- “Hello my name is Shuichi Minamino but you can call me Kurama. It’s kind of like a nickname of sorts. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Kai- “Like wise.” Is her reply. “Hey babe. Will you go out with me” says a boy to her right. He has goofy orange hair in an Elvis type style and a face that only a mother could love. Kai “Let me think about it…. NO! And if you value your life then I suggest that you get away from me.” She replies in a bitter tone. Boy- “But…But…Bu-“he was cut off by another boy with slicked back black hair and soft brown eyes. “Kuwabara you stupid dumb ass. She said no. So leave her alone.” They start to argue until the teacher says- Akito- “Kuwabara, Urameshi, I suggest you stop before I lose my patients and send you both to the principals office.” They settle down and the teacher continues with the lesson. After hearing their names Kai starts to think. Urameshi…Urameshi…as in the Urameshi Team!?! Spirit Detectives. I should have known. I have to get out of here now. All of a sudden Kai feels a surge of Tai’s spirit energy coming from outside. She knows he’s in trouble. The bell rings and she rushes out of the classroom, down the hall and out to the school yard.

With the Gang- Kurama- “Did you feel that spirit energy? I think it came from a demon.” Kuwabara- “Hey guys, where did Kai go?” Yusuke- “She left you idiot. And in a hurry too. Do you think she felt the spirit energy also?” Kurama- “Possibly but, I think we should go see what’s happening.” Yusuke- “Right, let’s go!”

Back to Kai- Kai ran out in front of the school to see Tai being pushed around by five bullies. Tai was getting mad fast and she could tell that if she didn’t do something fast then he would loose control over his spirit energy and attack the guys. Kai used her telepathy to talk to him –Tai calm down. I’ll take care of them- -Okay- was his response. She felt his spirit energy level down. She then says in a deadly voice. Kai- “I know your not picking on my brother.” “Hey baby. Wanna come have some fun with me.” Says the boy who seems to be the leader. “No” she curtly replies. “Tai count to five please.” Tai- “okay. One, two, three, fo-“ Kai cuts him off. You- “that’s enough.” They both look down upon the five bullies that have been knocked unconscious. Kai grabs Tai by the arm and start to sprint off towards their home. Tai- “What’s going on Kai?” Kai- “Spirit detectives.” At these two words her brother was silent and then he started running faster and she was the one being pulled.

With the gang- Yusuke- “Damn it. The energy signal has disappeared.” Kurama- “I know it’s strange. It was here just a moment ago but now there is no sign of it anywhere.” Kuwabara- “Hey, who do think knocked out all those guys?” He says this while pointing at five of the schools bullies all laying unconscious on the ground. All three boys look down upon the five boys lying on the ground. Kuwabara- “Isn’t that Kai over there?” Kurama- “Yes it is. But where is she going, school’s not over yet.” Kuwabara- Who’s that guy she’s with? I want her to be with me.” He complains. Yusuke- “Give it up Kuwabara. You don’t have a chance. Any way, do you guys think that Kai-“ he was cut off by Kurama. Kurama- “It’s possible but we had better go find Hiei and talk to Koenma.” They head off towards the portal to spirit world.

At the apartment- “Aaa Aaachoo!” *cough, cough* Kai- “That sounds really bad, Tai, come here and let me see if you have a temperature.” She places the back of her hand on his forehead. Kai- “It feels like you have a fever. Maybe you shouldn’t come tonight. I can handle it.” Tai- “No you can’t, and you know it. It’s too dangerous for you to go alone. I’m going with you and there is nothing you can say or do to change my mind.” Kai- “Fine,” as she walks away she mumbles under her breathe “why couldn’t you take after father and be reasonable.” Tai- “I heard that!” Kai- “Whatever.”

Koenma’s Office- The door opens and four boys walk inside an office like room. It has white walls with a desk in the middle of the floor and a big red chair that yells SIT ON ME. There are also five other wooden chairs that look less inviting. Sitting in the big red chair is a toddler. Toddler- “It’s about time you showed up. We have a major crisis on our hands.” Yusuke- “Calm down Koenma.” Koenma- “Calm down! I’m the ruler of spirit world I don’t have to calm down.” Kuwabara- “Yeah, I’m sure whatever it is, its nothing we can’t handle.” Koenma- “I hope your right.” Kurama- “Why don’t you just tell us what the problem is.” Koenma- “Very well, then. Kurama, Hiei, I suppose that you have heard of the ‘Midnight Stalkers,’ am I right?” “hn.” Is all a boy with spiked black hair that defies the laws of gravity and a white starburst in the front, says. Kurama- “Yes we have. Aren’t they the greatest thieves as of right now?” Koenma- “Exactly. I have just been informed by one of our sources that they are planning to attack the vault TONIGHT!!” Yusuke- “And you need us to stop them. Not a problem.” Kuwabara- Yeah, we’ll kick their butts.” Hiei- “They would kill you within the first minute.” Koenma- “Actually, out of all 692 successful hits and attacks, there have never been any casualties.” Kurama- Yes, I heard about that. They don’t kill.” Yusuke- “They don’t kill!?! Well, this is going to be easier than I thought.” Koenma- “Don’t underestimate them, Yusuke. They are more powerful than you think. I would like you four to head up guard duty tonight. So, I suggest you get some rest.” Kurama- “If I may ask, Koenma. But, what exactly are they after?” Everyone turns and looks directly at Koenma, anticipation and curiosity on every face (except Hiei of course). Koenma- “They are going to try and steal the Itaski Sword.” Hiei- “Hn. What would they want with an artifact that doesn’t do anything?” Koenma- “But it does.” Everybody stares at Koenma as they wait to hear what this sword does. Yusuke- “WELL!?!” he yells. Koenma- “Oh…Right. The Itaski sword cannot kill. It-“he was cut off by Yusuke. Yusuke- “What do you mean it doesn’t kill?!” Koenma- “Ahem. As I was saying, the Itaski sword has the power to….
