I know it's late, and I'm not sure if anyone will read this, since it's so late.... but I really need to update....


I just got off the phone with my host parents, from when I was in Japan. It was so good to talk to them again!! But after I got off the phone, my mom, who talked with my host father for a little while told me what he told her when he was talking to her.

A few days ago, he had a heart attack. He was in the hospital for 10 days. He sounded perfectly fine on the phone, which is good because I think that means that he's getting better. I just hope, that nothing happens to him before I can get back to Japan, to go to school. I want to see him again. He was much more of a father to ne than my own supposed 'father' ever was.

When I was there, for the first time in my life, I felt as though I had a father...



I'm sorry, I just needed to get it out....

I just thought that I'd update quickly, even though it's late...


I hope that you all had and are having a wonderful time doing whatever you're doing, celebrating whatever you're celebrating, if you're celebrating at all.... ^^;;

Last night Kana, Kazu and I all watched HagaRen until around 3... We started at the beginning of the series and got to episode 39. ^^;; It was fun though... Wow, so much HagaRen, and I caught a lot more details watching it over again. Maybe I'm a little too obsessed....

It is her last day before winter break. ^^

I'm so sorry!!

I'm sorry, I've been neglecting everything.....

Well, I'm on break, and I'm rested. That means I can start having some sort of order to my life now... ^^;; You really don't need to pay any attention to me.... I don't make any sense...

So, I shall now update.

Nothing much has been going on, actually. I have some drawings that I need to finish, and I've been working on a webiste. This one is much better than the one a made before. I changed the link on my profile, so you can just click there if you're curious. There's really nothing there yet, I'm working on stuff to put up there.

Umm... that's it, I think. Sorry for the ramble.

In Japanese, there are things called particles. They are used to connect words and show what place the words take in the sentence.

A very common particle is 'wa', which is actually written with the character for "ha".

'Wa' is used to define the topic of the sentence. I'll make a sentence using english words in Japanese word order to illustrate.

I wa Kanau am.
=
Watashi wa Kanau desu.

This waclock is.
=
Kore wa tokei desu.

This is the basic use of the particle "wa".

Did that actually make sense??

mata....

Alright, umm.... I posted this yesterday, but only one person visited, so I'll ask you all again. ^^ Everyone must be busy with finals, and such....

I love music, but I don't know that much. The extent of my knowledge is pretty much some anime music, and very very little J-pop/J-rock .....

So... I was wondering what you guys like or would suggest. It doesn't have to be Japanese either. I'm just looking for new music. ^^;

....

Actually, since I'm sort of on the topic, does anyone have any books that they would recommend? I haven't read in forever, and again, I was wondering what you'd suggest. actually, since I'm at it, if there's any series that you'd suggest.... XD But anyway, I like pretty much anything, for both music and reading material.

I was thinking of some things to occupy myself with on my break.
But then again, I have a bunch of drawing that I need to work on.

I actually have to run to school in a few minutes, so ....

I'll visit everyone later, because only one person has updated so far... It's almost 7:30.

I can't post pictures right now, but I will in my next post... But I have a question for you guys....

Gomen nasai.....

I'm so sorry everyone. I have been gone again....

Well, I have been working on my drawing a little. But just a bunch of page layouts. I'll show you when I have something actually finished, okay? I can't wait to show you guys!

I've been having a lot to do with projects, and tests, and such....

But I promise that I'll get on here a lot more during the break!! You are all so kind to visit me, when I'm never here, that I can't help but feel a little bad about myself....

But, since school will be out, I suppose that I shoudn't have any trouble getting on here.

Well, hello everyone. I again apologize for my absence... And Myu-san... the lessons... gomen yo.

I aplogize for not visiting your sites, and when I see you all visiting me, even though I'm never here...it makes me feel bad for not being on here as much as I should. (;_;)









I have made a decision that will effect how much time I'm on here and how much time I'm doing other things.

Here's my decision:
Up until now, I've done really well in school. That's great and all, but I've been thinking lately. For the past quite a few years I've been complaining about how I have no time to work on things that I actually want to be doing. And only recently have I figured out that it's because I've been spending all my time on school. That's great and all, but what's more important to me, school, or the things that I want to do? I know that I have to still go to school to get to where I want to go. That's unavoidable. I also love learning, so I want to go. ^^ But I think that it's time that I stop putting all of my efforts into school. I'll still do well, I won't flunk out or anything. I'll still be in honors. I just won't be devoting every spare moment I have to school. I guess that ever since I remember, I was always good at school, so I thought that I had to maintain that level. That I should be doing schoolwork all the time.

Recently, I have been thinking, oh, as soon as I get ahead and have some free time, I'll work.

But I've figured out that the whole time I was spending all of my time doing schoolwork, and not what I want to do. I know that I have to finish school here first, but as soon as I'm done, I'm off to animation school in Japan. That's the goal that I have to look toward. So.... ganbarimasu!


Sorry, I just needed a little self-motivation.... anyway, that's all.


So... yeah. I will be on here more. I know that I've said that before, but this time... I really think it will happen. I now have different priorities...

Good news!

Feeling... motivated!

I've found a cord that works with the battery charger, so I can now show you all pictures!

Actually, I can't show you pictures of my doujin, because the battery is still charging... but I'll show you all pictures of Japan. I figure that you'd all be okay with that... ^^

But first, the update...

Today was really fun! Youko came over and read all of my HagaRen books... And we watched the first DVD of the anime. (That'd be the first 4 episodes...) It was really fun. I think that she might like HagaRen as much as I do! I'm really glad about that.

And she's from a city in Japan called Sendai. Sendai is close to Akita, where I stayed for the six months. My host parents' son's family lives there. And a few years ago, in 2002, I wrote to a few animation schools in Japan about thier schools, and one school sent me a big box of information back. The school is called Yoyogi Animation Gakuin, and they have a lot of different branches around the country. One of the branches is in Sendai! So, I'm thinking that after I'm done going to school here, I'll attend an animation school there. ^^ Hopefully my Japanese will be good enough... But anyway, that's my plan. (It's been my plan to go to an animation school in Japan for a long time, but now I know where I really want to go!) And Youko wants to be a teacher at the high school that she went to in Sendai, so if I go, I'll be where she is. And I can visit my Otousan and Okaasan!

Hello, everyone!

I'm sorry for not updating.... I was kind of busy, in an unbusy sort of way...

Yesterday I woke up late... and then I went on the computer because I wanted to check my email, and a friend that I had from before I moved got my email address from one of my good friends. (The person that got my email address wasn't seeming like my friend for quite a while. She didn't seem to care that I was gone for 6 months to Japan. When I got back the only thing that she said was,"I haven't seen you in forever") But my good friend has been my friend for a really long time, since 8th grade. Anyway, this used to be friend got my email and started instant messaging me... and so I was stuck on the computer for a while...

Then, I wanted to start working on my douinshi, but then our next door neighbor came over, because she had taken the bus to work, and her boyfriend was supposed to pick her up, but he was still at work, so her friend drove her home, and she didn't have her keys. So she was locked out of her house. So we had her stay in our house for a while, and then since she and our mom had some shopping to do, we all went to the store. Then a little while after we came back, her boyfriend finally came back, and she could go inside.

And then I started playing videogames.... namely DDR, and that distracted me from my work.... And so I ended up accomplishing nothing yesterday.... ^^'

At least I'm up early today....

But I'm going to be really busy today! It's around 9:30 right now, and Kana and I still have to clean the downstairs, I have to clean my room, and get things ready for Youko-san coming over. I wonder if I'll have some time to work on my doujin before time to pick her up....? And she'll probably be here until around 6-ish.

Then maybe I'll be able to work on my doujin.... If I had a scanner, I'd show you guys... because I don't know where the cord is.... but I'll keep looking.... I really want to show you guys! sugoku mesetai!

Oh, Myu-san, I'm working on the next lesson, but it's coming along slowly.... sorry that it's taking so long. But you'll get it before Monday, I promise!

Ah! I can smell something cooking, I think that our mom has already started preparing things!^^
