   speech and stuff

Has anyone heard of that pitbull banning in ontario? I cant believe that! i was able to write a speech about it in my english class, and im performing it tomorrow, i hate speeches T_T but its worth 100marks, so ones gotta do what ones gotta do ;_;

Tell me what you think, its long so you dont have to read it haha!

How is banning a particular breed of dog any different than racism? If this law is
passed, how is Canada going to become a stronger nation, when were making it illegal to
own a certain breed of dog? When I think of a dangerous dog, I think of the people first,
the people that raise and train their dogs to be what they become as a full grown animal,
which apparently seen by some Canadians, as “killing machines”. If and when a dog
bites is suddenly considered a killing machine, then what does that make humans?
People have been murdered over an Xbox, people have been murdered over spilled
mustard, people have been murdered over religion, opinion, disagreements, money, drugs,
But a pitbull nips the hand of a child for protecting her pups, the dog is suddenly dragged
outside to be killed? To ban drugs, to ban guns, to ban discrimination is acceptable, to
ban a dog? This is only going to encourage more underground dog fights, more puppy
mills and backyard breeding, just like how when drugs were made illegal, people began to
strive for it even more. Some dogs are given away cheap or for free which is open to
anyone whose looking to make money off of a fighting dog, or because the dog is worth
nothing to them, then they treat it as much as they had to pay, that to me is what creates a
dangerous dog, and even then, they mostly only show aggression towards other dogs,
because that’s how they are trained, or they will protect themselves, their owners,
home, and puppies at all costs, cause like them to us, the people closest are the most
important. What gives people the right to ban animals anyway’s? Just because humans
are the most greedy, selfish ignorant beings, and take up the most space, who appointed
them to make decisions like banning pitbulls? Not nessasaraly banning pitbulls to live,
but making it harder for them to make it into a good family by setting a fine of $3,000 to
the owner, which comes back to the point of selling them for little to no money and how
well they will be treated on how much the owner is willing to give, in getting something
they’ll spend the time and money taking care of. People often complain about the
attacking tactics of the pitbull, where when they bite the jaws lock and the only way to
free yourself is to some people, by unloading their rifle into it. An incident a while back
is some guy broke into a house and was attacked by the families pitbull, the dog bit his
arm and when the dog wouldn’t let go, he began to beat the dog in the head with a
baseball bat, yet the dog wouldn’t die, nor let go until he shot the dog to death. The dog
was protecting its family from an intruder, but its because of incidents such as this one
that’s causing Ontario to ban these dogs. I could write a novel on the unfairness it its to
ban a certain breed of dog for biting, when any new born puppy bites to teeth, or even
though golden retrievers (the best family dog) is more likely to bite than a pit bull. So I
say end the threat of a ban, and set regulations on how to sell, breed and train animals,
and move on.

THE END

so thats what i think about that haha! yeah, i have to read that tomorrow, sucks hey? i kinda had to rush cause it has to be under 5 minutes and there was so many things i could have put in it, but oh well, i think it gets the point across somewhat.
