Am I the only one? (rant)
This is just a ranting post. You've been warned.

Almost every single user on theotaku is talking about at least one of two things: Advent Children, or Kingdom Hearts 2. GAH! Am I really the only one that doesn't like either of these things?!

Ok, it's not that I don't like KH2, it's just that I don't have a PS2 (and there is NO way I'd ever buy one, I'm a Nintendo-fan through and through), and from what I've seen (my friend Backlash Wave has both of the games), it seems like a pretty good series, but not THAT great. I've played Chain of Memories, but I have to say that it too wasn't able to keep my interest very well; the story just wasn't enticing enough.

And then there's Advent Children. I've seen most of it (bits and parts from random places), and I can say quite surely that I think that it is absoulute garbage. All it is is a good-graphic (I have to admit that those graphics are pretty good) CG version of The Matrix. All it seems to be is fighting, and very dumb, and completely fake fighting at that. There seems to be no story whatsoever. Gah.

People are always biting my head off when I talk like this, but I have to say that it's my true opinion on both of those matters.

I suppose one thing behind all of this is the fact that I don't have a PS2 (or 1 for that matter). It's not that I hate PS (at least not nearly to that same degree as I hate Xbox, both the original and 360), it's just that I don't like it. I do have to admit that there are quite a few good games on it. However, what I don't like is the way that Sony stole Square-Enix from Nintendo. And I have to say that, in my opinion, the quality of Square-Enix's games just keeps going down. Chrono Cross for example. Absoulute crap. Pretty good graphics for its time, but the story really could've been made so that it was actually flowing and didn't overly suck. I just find that Square-Enix seems to be concentrating on graphics, and not stories. To me, Sony ruined Square-Enix.

On the SNES and NES there were such great RPGs that Square made, like Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, and so many others.

Funny, I never did like the Final Fantasy games, even the ones I had for my NES and SNES. Maybe that's part of the reason I don't like PS, as all it seems to have is Final Fantasy.

Gah, I'm finished ranting. So go ahead and bite my head off, since I know almost all of you that read this disagree with me.
