   Psst...It's almost finished...
My entry for the Black Sun Silver Moon contest is nearing completion! ^.^ This is quite an achievement, since I've had barely any free time what with my new job. My inspiration is back up and I'll be working hard to get it done as soon as I can! *Rock Lee determined face* XD

Ne, ne, before you go, why don't you spare a minute and take my questionaire? =D You know you want to! *winky winky*

1. If you had the choice, would you rather live in a sci-fi world, or an ancient, fantasy realm?

2. Upon chosing your world, what weapon would you chose? Or would you use magic?

3. And lastly, just what would you do with your abilities? Save the world? Seek revenge? Find your own truth? Destroy the world? Or something else...?


These are my answers! ^^

1. Fantasy, hands down. Sci-fi is fun, but fantasy hold too much intrigue and mystery for me to pass up. =D

2. I'd be a little magic user, waving around my staff like nobody's business! I'd probably use healing magic more than offensive stuff though. I'm too nice. XD

3. I think I'd use my powers to help the weak, and bring people together. I'd join up with an adventuring group while traveling and have fun along the way as well. ^.^

   I Never Expected That....
Some big stuff has happened since I last posted. Like, life changing big...You see, my parents divorced when I was about a year old, and I've lived with my mom and step-dad since then. I never heard from my real father after the divorce, and so life moved on without him. My step-dad took care of me, and that was all I needed. But last week I got an email from the last person I expected: my real dad. For all I knew, he could've been dead or moved out of the country. Now he wants to contact me. @_@;; I told my mom about this and she wasn't exactly happy. She said that he's taking it easy by leaving me for my mom to take care of, and then once I'm older, come back into my life like nothing ever happened. A part of me agrees with her. But I'm also curious about him, you know? >_<

I never even thought I'd be in this kind of situation, nor do I know anyone who has. I mean, it's weird thinking about it. He's my dad but I don't know anything about him, and I don't feel like a daughter to him. Ugh...I haven't replied yet because I'm still thinking about what I'm going to say. I know my mom doesn't want him in our house, and I can understand that. It's just too awkward for the rest of my family, as well as me. And I think, if he *really* cared about me, he would've kept in contact with us, heck maybe even wrote a letter? >> Or sent some kind of support? *sigh* What do you guys think? Has anyone been in this sort of situation?

Sorry, I wanted to rant there for a bit. It makes me feel better. ^^;; Anyways, I have some updates my friends!!

I will also be entering in the Black Sun Silver Moon manga contest!! I have the cover page finished and the rough draft of the other four pages finished.

And it looks like my site will begin construction soon!! I have a friend who knows someone who'll help me out. ^o^ I'm ever so grateful! I'll let everyone know when it's up!! ^_~

   Getting There!!
Phew. What a week it's been. ^^; Not sure if I mentioned this...but I just started my new job. My first job. Everyone starts out part-time, but they've got me at full-time hours and this little manga ka is really tired. >.> It's not bad. I mean, I get to work with my best friend. ^o^ How many people can say that?

So yeah...I've been cramped for time lately. I usually draw in the evening/night but that's what I'm scheduled to work. 1:30 to 10:00 PM. T.T But I will do my best!! For those of you who've read my manga, don't worry, there is more coming. The best so far! And there's a little taste of some action...a teaser for what's about to come. hehe I'm three pages away from finishing it. Then I'll just need to ink and screen tone it. Hopefully you're as excited as me. ^^

And on a personal note, I've been trying to keep up with the constant change that's been happening around me. Graduation, new job, people moving, new opportunities. Nothing bad. It's just...a lot of sudden change. Like being swept away in a current that's only going in one direction, no matter what you do. And you can't see around the curbs. I'm not sure what's ahead or how things will go, but I'll hope for the best and keep on moving.

   NYAF Contest
Soo....I wonder how many people are gonna enter in this contest? There's a decent number of fan art entries so far, and talk about good stuff! I was really impressed with some of the entries!

But I think I'll give it a shot, I mean, why not? ^^ I'll be putting in one of my best/fav ink works. So if you like my ink pics, you'll have to check this one out. hehe =D

Also...does anyone have tips on how to make your own website? I want to create my own art site but I have no idea where to start. I ish web-builder newb. XD

   What a great Con!
Ahh...Gencon was really something else this year. ^_^ I think this year was better than last. Mostly because we didn't have to wake up at 6 am to leave! haha But most importantly because I had an art table this year and my two best buddies were there with me. My art seemed to attract a few publishers, which is a great feeling. Everyone really seemed to enjoy it and I got a lot of compliments. I've never sold my work before, and I learned a lot from that.

I believe right now is one of those big turning points in my life. I'm finally going out in the world and showing my skills, and I've been getting good responses. Hopefully my name will continue to spread and I'll end up working on some big project, who knows.

   GENCON IS HERE
Words can't describe the awesomeness of the greatest four days of gaming and anime. ^.^ Simply put, Gencon is like four holidays smooshed together for video gamers and anime fans. And it's only TWO days away! XD (sorry for my cracked out behavior, but it has to come out or it will reach critical mass and I will explode for not sharing my utter joy) haha Anyways, I'm going to all four days with two of my best buddies and we managed to get a hotel room that's only ten minutes away from the convention center. Plus I should have an art table there in one of the connected hotels and I can finally make some money doing what I love!! Maybe I'll sell them at $10 to $13 a print? Does that sound alright? I've made multiple prints of several original pieces...none of which have been put online yet. I plan on doing that when I get my own website (hopefully sometime this year...).

And I'll be dressed up for the grand occasion! I planned on cosplaying as Rinoa from Final Fantasy 8 but I'm missing the blue jacket thing she has... T_T Other than that, it's finished. But I do have a yukata my friend bought me when she was in Japan! And I made my own obi for it (the belt). I also have a sorceress and fairy outfit..those will be fun. (don't look at me like that, I'm not crazy... XD) And I'll have some normal clothes on the last day...I know I'll be really tired by then.

They also have an anime dubbing thing going on in one of the rooms. I'll have to find it! They let you dub some unreleased anime, though I'm not sure what it'll be this year. I've always wanted to do voice acting though. ^_^

   I couldn't help myself...
Ok, I admit it. I am completely and utterly addicted to Transformers right now, and it came out of nowhere. XD I've seen the movie twice with my friends now, and we're contemplating a third viewing. It really is that good. Er, well in my opinion at least. It seems that you either like it or don't.

Anyways! I've broken down and started writing Transformers fan fiction....Yes, I do write. Quite a bit, if I can get the chance and the inspiration. Though I'm more artist than writer, so I've already drawn out my own Transformer character. He's some Decepticon, the face came out really evil-looking. XD I think he'll transform into a M-107 Paladin dual artillery truck. And he's got these scarey cannon-finger type things. I'll try to have him put up soon so you all can see. Yes! I do draw mecha! I just haven't in a long time....^^;

   Orientation
Yeah, so I went to my college's orientation for newbie students. It was pretty cool. 'Cept I had to get up a little earlier than I usually do and it seemed to drag on forver...I did get to meet some cool people. Ugh, but I'm *so* tired...-_- lol

I'm pretty excited about my fan art entry for the Amegakure manga club. It's coming along...very nicely. =D It's been awhile since I've drawn anything in the Naruto style and this was a really nice change.

And one last thing before I go crash...Why is it that the manga entries here get so few views compaired to the fan art pieces? >_> I don't know...I've found that kinda strange. Some of my fan art pieces have around 300 votes while my manga has about 70. Hmm...well, I guess it isn't that bad. But still, if you like the person's fan art, give their manga a glance at least. =) I tend to get all happy-like when people look at my stuff, but especially the manga since it's original. And if you have been reading my manga, THANK YOU!! I really appreciate the support and let me say something, this story is only getting started. We have yet to get to the cave and *that* will definately be exciting! XD

My Own Site
I've got a great bunch of friends. =) One of them knows a buddy that would be willing to make a website for me to put my art up on! Have to say that makes me excited. You must be wondering, well doesn't she already have her art up on this site? Well, yes. But I haven't put up my original works except the manga. It'll have new original stuff up to browse through and buy prints. Or make requests. Except I won't be able to do requests for copyrighted characters of course. ^^;

I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. hehe I'm guessing it'll be up around fall. I'll definately let everyone know. =)

   Geneva Convention
Whoots for Gencon! =D I'm so looking forward to it. (Aug. 16th to 20th) For those of you who don't know what it is....YOU HAVE BEEN MISSING OUT! Picture in your mind stands and stands of all kinds of anime wall scrolls, key chains, plushies, pens, figures, DVDs, soundtracks, ect... And they have lots of card games and RPG stuff, an cosplay contests, an actuall Gladiator Arena where guys in armor face off (with foam weapons of course). XD Not to mention the anime rooms where they play new anime all four days all day long. This is my third year going there and I haven't really seen most of it still. It's in the Indianapolis convention center and 3 of the surrounding hotels. I mean, it *is* one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world. haha

If there is anyway you can make it, you really should go! A convention this fantabulous is not to be passed up! XD I'll probably be wearing my yukata and maybe my ninja outfit the next day....*ponders* =P
