In other news, I'm now going to ACen all three days because of 'gome's schedule conflicts and the like. Also, a Phoenix Wright cosplay photo shoot is planned...which...well, I think you can figure out my thoughts.

Also, pi day is coming up.

When you first opened your doors
I clawed my way in to snatch the tag 'Katana'
Doing my best to avoid name wars.

You watched me grow up
From the summer between sixth and seventh
Nurturing me through the increasing grades
Yet now we must part at my eleventh.

Oh! various fandoms you have burdened
So many styles suffered through
Different friends, different phases
But always keeping the same color blue...

No better record of myself can be found
Well, online, at least
From plays to podcasts, tests to theories
And even seeing me march on the Thanks feast.

I can't help but feel like a traitor.

Oh, cosplay
So a decision was reached today: No more Kingdom Hearts cosplay. Waffles and I agreed that it'll cost too much money - mainly the boots. >>;

So we spent the last part of the ride home talking about what other stuff we could do. Reborn! came up, and we discussed that. We've also talked about After School Nightmare before and...stuff.

Though with my current obsession being Phoenix Wright, I'm really leaning towards that to cosplay. I just have no idea if Waffles would want to do anything from that or not. ._.

And as to who I'd cosplay...um, I have no idea. 8D; I don't particularly look like any of the characters.

I'm leaning towards Maya, though, as it's not a complicated costume and such. ...I just need a wig. >3>

And a job. I'm looking for that too.

Mambomambolaaaay~
The past week, I've been out with the flu (and an ear infection). The flu, what the hell. I haven't gotten that since sixth grade, when I had the stomach flu. >>;

I am not looking forward to going back to school tomorrow...

OH SHI - I HAVE ART CLUB TOMORROW. fdsfgs

But on to happier news! The "Fan Words" sections, omfgwtfbbqpie. I can't believe that the w-word would actually be considered an art form again. P: I've decided to try and whip up something between...well, now and the weekend...so that when the section is live, I can immediately slap some Katana-ness to it.

The articles was really how I established myself around here. Then it became the podcast. >>; But I'm hoping that I can go back to doing what I did best, which is write.

I am and am not looking forward to the "Worlds" thing - you know, the new journaling system. I mean, I'm looking forward to having groups and stuff, but...myOtaku is my baby. ;_; I've been using it for almost five years, so it's sad to be forced to let it go.

Though I'm enjoying the prospect of an otaku watercooler. I think I'll doodle some banner art or something. XD; I'm also going to make a group for ACeners. Do I smell myOtaku Photo Shoot? I hope. :3

Recall in the last post that I had to write a college application letter. Well, I did just that. I think it went well, so all that's left is the part that actually counts - you know, my grade.

And the cardboard cutouts are...coming along. I'll probably be putting the finishing touches on them this Thursday, right before the concert. XDD;;;

Mmm, crepes
I'm sick, which is no surprise considering I'm the last person in my family to get hit by it. >_O I've been hitting up the jasmine tea like no other, and drank three mugs last night. As Waffles said, Iroh would be proud.

Three day weekend. Glorious. I like that I have another day to recover before going back to the grind.

And on that subject, I have two, fairly strange things to do:

1.) Write a college applicant essay for AP English. The example we were given was bizarre and, to quote my teacher, quite a "smartass" approach. We are to somehow make ours different from the norm without being too...yeah, I dunno. My current idea is to take all the adventures of the character incarnations of myself [Katana being one of them] and say what I do and have done.

2.) The really weird one: Make three lifesize cardboard cutouts of Frank Sinatra, Wayne Newton, and Liberace for our band concert in two weeks. As I mentioned before, the song is called "Godzilla Eats Las Vegas". Part of the defenders are the three mentioned above. I think they get crushed/eaten.
I bought the foamboard for the trio last night, and it was probably the weirdest explanation I had to give. Of course, seeing a random short kid carrying seven pieces of foamboard on her head through Jo-Ann Fabrics is odd enough, but telling what it was for was even better.
My director owes me $20.90. :3

Gaaaaagh...

I'm thinking that, if I can find the camera tomorrow, I'll post up a "Cooking With Kat" tutorial for how to make crepes. Either video or photo wise...photos would probably be better.

I am so out of it...
