Library posting
At the library. Not for the lulz, but for the purpose of finding a book to read for AP English. I ended up with "The Good Earth" by Pearl S. Buck, so hopefully it'll get approved.
Ugh, I've got a headache...
Huh? What? The Vegas trip? Yeah...yeah. It happened. It was a good time, I suppose. I mean, I"m too young to gamble and too old to be entertained by the kiddie stuff. It's a shame. [Though I did spend a lot of time in the 'kiddie casino', which was, in fact, an overglorified arcade. But still fun.]
My brother's married and there's a new member of my family because of it. I also have a sister-in-law now. XD After the wedding, our two families went out to eat at a nice resteraunt. I had talipia. =D It was omnomnomliscious. Though I couldn't drink champagne, so I had to toast with my soda. >>;
Though there was one 'wtf' moment at the dinner, and that was the waiter giving us the bill and telling how he left out the "cake-cutting fee" because it was a wedding. Yes, that's right, a cake-cutting fee. They charge you to cut the freakin' cake. Some of you more world-experinced folks might be going 'uh, yeah', but still, it was pretty dumb.
We kept the menus they gave us because they said "Congratulations Matt and Cara!!!" on the top. xD
Random note: Shin leaves some of my favorite comments. I think it's 'cause she's not here all the time. :3; But still. Good times.
This has been one of the most incoherent posts I've ever made. [Spelling mistakes courtesy of IE not having a spellcheck function. Firefox FTW!]

Long story short: Art club members are required to sell ten sweatshirts or else we get the boot. Yeah, it's not fun.
Anyways.
Hmm. I forgot to tell you guys. 8D; That's rather surprising, considering myO is the most responsive of my three journals [>>;]. I think it's 'cause last post had lots of...random crap going on. Which, by the way, I have yet to receive a call back on the job, which makes me sad and nervous.
Though to be honest, when I turned it in, this kid about my age with a snake on his hand took it, so I doubt any people of value have seen it. >_>
I also saw the Zunes yesterday at Target. Or at least, models of them. They're pretty. And I've confirmed, I'm getting the red one. 'cause it's pretty. 83
Okay, so now, the meat of the post. All words before this have just been the dinner rolls that they give you and you accidentally fill up on before that huge pasta bowl you ordered comes.
This Tuesday, my brother is getting married. You know, the brother who, a handful of posts ago, got engaged? Yeah. They're getting married in Las Vegas.
Initially, my parents [mainly my mom] were rather angry at this and declared how we were not going to go. But after discussing this with many people, it was decided that yes, we are going.
Problems came when the first plan was to leave Monday [tomorrow] and then come back Thursday night, having me miss four days of school. Unfortunately, I have at least three tests this week, and missing AP English is not a fun treat. Plus, on Wednesday, I had signed up to go on a field trip to see "Jersey Boys" in Chicago [though the main driving task was the abilitiy to mess around and shop with my friends. Shhh, don't tell. D:]
Well, it was manged so that I go to school tomorrow and then, right when I get home, we zoom out of here to Midway airport. Tuesday and Wednesday will be spent in Vegas while Thursday is the travel day back.
So I'm still missing stuff, but at this point in time, the biggest problem has become Psychology. >3<;;
I've never been to Las Vegas before, so I'm excited at the prospect of seeing something new. The hotel we're staying at - Excalibur - is a family-oriented hotel. They have a "kiddy casino". I'm assuming it's an over-glorified arcade. OR MAYBE IT'S NOT. 8O
So that's Katana's adventure for the week.

Job tiem nao!
This post is brought to you by the Committee For Hitting the Enter Key Twice! Remember when posting to trust the C.F.H.E.K.T.!
I have a job application for a pet shop in the area. "Critters Pet Shop" to be precise. It's a family-run store, and they were hiring. ...At least, I hope so, as they...haven't said anything...Err...
Ah well. Application. It's all filled out, sans what I request for "salary requirement". My answer? Minimum wage plz. Except that I can't seem to find out what the damn minimum wage is. Is it $6.55 an hour?
Then there's the whole thing with states having minimum wage...
Oh wait. Sweet! Illinois is a state with a minimum wage higher than the federal one. =D
...Snap dazzle. Is it really $7.50 an hour? ...Merph. I forgot something. Employeers can legally pay people my age sub minimum wage...HURGH.
ANYWAYS. I have but one request for my parents: Allow me to save up my job money for a replacement music player. After that, I will assist in paying for myself and such.
What is it a want? One of the new Zunes. They are pimp. 8O They're coming out on the 13th, so if Best Buy or Target has them on display, I'll see if the red is non-pink enough for meh. Otherwise it's black. :3

Katana's Tale of Otakulypses and Blood Doning
So. Otakulypse 2.0. It happened. Wooh.
Anyways.
Today was the semi-annual blood drive at my high school. Since one can officially donate at age sixteen with parental consent, I signed up. I ended up being apart of the last shift (call time was 1:30, school ends at 2:30). The longest part was probably sitting on the gurney and just waiting for the nurse in charge of the station I was at [three bed total] to stab me and draw out the blood.
The nurse couldn't find a good spot in either my arms, apparently, but went for the left [which is good, since I'm right handed]. Then when she got it in, she was like, "ZOMG you're a nine!" It basically translates to how I have mad blood giving skillz.
I ended up filling my bag in around seven minutes before getting my stuff and heading to the table for cookies and juice. Surprisingly, I didn't feel dizzy or anything; whats more, I felt more...awake and hyper afterwards. Something very strange. XD
Though while I was munching, a girl who had been in the same station as me passed out in front of the library on her way back to class. >>;

Of crack dreams and notebooks packaged with death
Is it so wrong to not like my relatives? Or at least, not enjoy all-day activities with them? I dunno. But that's where I was all day. In Wisconsin. Blargh. At least I got to watch "Corpse Bride".
Crack dreams...last night, I had a dream that must've come from a Bleach-less night [and that of weeks to come]. Essentially, I had this first-person view of what I'm assuming was Haruka.
The chorus teacher was a soul reaper and he was teaching a group of us about...stuff. For some reason, I was fighting against Orihime all shingami'd up. She had a green sword. And I didn't.
...
What's going on...
Well, there's one thing I remember: She attacked, and my weapon-less hands made this swiping motion, as if making a shield. And the very first thought in my head was, "Wait, did I give Haruka this power?"
...
Sorry, that was kinda random...
And I watched Death Note last night, as did about a zillion other people on the site. Let me just say it was bloody excellent, and anybody who complains about the dub will be attacked with a plastic fork. By me.

Ho'snap!
As I subscribe to Anime-Insider, I got their fiftieth issue today. They named Cowboy Bebop as their number one anime, and since I recorded the episode "Brain Scratch" last night, I opted to view it. Of which I'm doing. ...Now.
But the real reason I'm posting is because in their manga release section, they had a picture of Yukari and Nyamo from Azumanga Daioh.
"Wtf?" goes Katana, and she sees something called "Azumanga Daioh Omnibus". And it's a collection of all four manga volumes, printed like how they originally were in Monthly Dengeki Daioh. [I assume the latter, but it is printed in a larger format.]
I'm excited. More crap to send my money on. =D

OAFersary
It makes me sad that it's 9:03pm, but it seems like the party will be delayed until tomorrow night or something. P:
Anyways, it's the one year anniversary of the creation of the Otaku Attack Force. Seems kinda crazy to think that, but it's true - we've been protecting the common Otaku, spamming the comment box, and typing in actual English for a year now.
More to be posted tomorrow. Hopefully. In the mean time, check out the present I requested for the celebration. =D

Answers to your burning questions!
I've said it twice already - I'm sick. Though I pretty much slept the entire day. -3-
Question tiem nao! Keep asking them, though. :3
Hmm a question, okay, if you can change your heritage to anything you want it to be, what would you be?
My heritage suits me pretty well, actually. I'm Irish, German, Swiss, and Welsh, though it would be kind of cool to have something...different...thrown in there. [I'm avoiding the weeaboo answer of "JAPANESE LAWL!1!!111!" *brick'd*]
When will there be a new WaKD? -ba dum chic-
Whenever Waffles and I collaborate and agree on an idea. ;3
My standard: What music do you like?
Unfortunately, I can't avoid a weeaboo answer here - I do enjoy JPop and such. My other geekout is with Broadway music. In general, rock music suits my tastes more, though Waffles has infiltrated my mind with Indie/alternative stuff.
How would your verse of the Avenue Q song It Sucks To Be Me go? (typing with random objects FTW)
FTW indeed.
I'm glad to say I actually know what you're talking about. I just need to remember the song...hang on...
You think your life sucks?
"I think so."
Your problems are pathetic.
I know I'm hyper, and kind of annoying
"Well..."
STFU. I like those different things like writing and tech.
But as you know, I love the people that I call my friends
Soooo WHY can I not get a BOYFRIEND?! F***!
It sucks to be me. :\
...Man. I have such a horrible parody idea in my head right now...
Favourite dirty joke. Obviously.
My favorite is kinda long, and I heard it a long time ago so it may not be as funny anymore but...YES! Here we go!
Mr. and Mrs. Smith went to the pastor of the church to help resolve a problem.
"Father," said Mr. Smith, "We're in a pickle. My wife keeps falling asleep during your sermens!"
"Hmm, that is a problem," replied the pastor. "But I do have a solution." He proceeded to hand Mr. Smith a needle. "Here. Whenever your wife falls alseep, I'll give you a signal to poke her and wake her up."
So they left, thinking their problem was solved.
Sunday rolls around, and the Smiths came to the service like they always did. But sure enough, during the pastor's sermen, Mrs. Smith fell asleep. The pastor, however, took note of this.
"Who gave us his one and only sun to guide us in our ways?" The pastor proceeded to make the sign. Mr. Smith noticed this and poked his wife.
"My GOD!" she screamed.
"Yes Mrs. Smith, that's right!"
Yet this wasn't permanent, as Mrs. Smith soon fell asleep again. Once again, the pastor took note of this.
"And who died to redeem us from our sins?" He made the sign, Mr. Smith noticed, and jabbed his wife again.
"JESUS!" she screeched.
"Yes Mrs. Smith, that's right!"
The pastor continued on in his sermen, rather pleased to see that Mrs. Smith hadn't fallen alseep. However, during his next question...
"And what did Eve say after giving birth to Adam's ninety-ninth child?"
The pastor accidentally made the signal. Mr. Smith, taking this as the sign, poked his wife yet again. She turned to him, furious.
"IF YOU STICK THAT THING IN ME ONE MORE TIME I'LL BREAK IT IN HALF AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR BUTT."
"Amen," said all the women in the church.
...Hmm. Looks shorter when typed up...

Standing right behind you
Well, in my geekdom, I advise you to go see the latest Strong Bad e-mail. It's about webcomics. ...And it's funny.
*brick'd*
And you know what? I decided to follow the trend of Adam, and Kei, and Sangome, and SomeGuy, and...everybody else. Ask me a question and I'll answer it! 8O There has to be SOMETHING you want to ask me.
...Right?
