Too much for the weekend...
I'm a procrastinator. I get it already. But why did I procrastinate on the eve of the release of the most anticipated book ever? And why did I procrastinate on the weekend before an important contest (to me) is over?
Okay, so, it goes in a series like that. Once again, I'm making an entry for Lelola's splash image contest. However, the gears haven't really spun into place quite yet. The due date is...Tuesday or something.
Yet Harry Potter book 7 gets released tonight (tomorrow, if that floats your boat) at midnight. I'm thinking of pulling a sleepless weekend. >>; Or at least, as little night sleeping as I can churn out.
Why?
Well, assuming I get the book tomorrow morning (I don't do midnight parties, sorry), I'll be reading that all day. I'll take breaks for some anime (Naruto, Bleach, and Blood+), keeping the reading going between them.
If I sleep, then I'll lose reading time, which ultimately means I lose time to work on the contest. ...Well, at least this will fulfill my "pull an all-nighter sometime during the summer break" goal. >.>
And I want to do some CG work...Blargh.

I do believe this to be a momentous day
Why? Was the cure for cancer discovered? Did we finally end world hunger? Did you stop reading the online journal of some teenager? **
No, today's momentous occasion is not quite as amazing as those. But for this place, it is rather mind-blowing.
So then, WHAT IS IT?!
Go check out the "Featured Fandom" box on the news page.
...Did you check it out? You back?
Don't give me that look. Go see it, dammit.
...
Did you do it now? DAMMIT, JUST DO IT.
Alright, alright. So, we're good? You've seen it? Good.
I present to you, good visitors of Katana's myOtaku, the first Featured Fandom box...sans Naruto.
Yeah yeah, I understand that as a replacement, we get some emo dead people, Sesshomaru, an Inuyasha cast pic, a ripped art from some Japanese PC game, an elf that has nothing to do with milk, and some Death Note cosplay. [Two of those aren't that bad, mind you.]
But it's momentous, right?
** That'll never happen, sorry. P: *brick'd* I'mkiddingI'mkiddingrawr!

It's over five thousaaaaaand!
So while the site hasn't reached 5,000 just yet, I imagine that by the time most of you read this, it will have. Because, let's face it, it's at 4,998 the moment I type this. *shrug*
Heh. 5,000. Good God, how many people have I annoyed throughout the years...awesome. *brick'd* I mean, c'mon. To think that people actually come and read about my life is some parts gnarly, some parts scary, and some parts "Wtf?!"
...I've had "Happy People", the newest ending theme to Bleach [dub] on infinite loop for quite some time now...
And woah, holy crap. I'm currently the 188th most popular on myOtaku. Good God.
Anyways. Yotsuba&! volume 4 is still not in my hands. I went to the bookstore yesterday, and the guy said they had more copies on order. I basically smacked my head, grumbling, as the guy chuckled and asked if I wanted to reserve one of the copies...I said yes...so I should have it sometime next week. This has taught me that I should preorder volume 5 too.
And yet where is volume 4 on those "most popular" booklists, huh? Geez... [/end mini rant]
My birthday is right around the corner. ...Huh.
Unfortunately, I've already got to start thinking about school again. But the only reason I'm really bringing this to your guys' attention is that I'm once again looking for a messenger bag to have. My only two requirements are 1.) It must have at least 5" in the depth dimension 2.) No pink. >>; Soooo if you feel like contributing, that's cool. :3

Woah...
Okay. So. About a month ago, a myO member by the name of ZWarriorCallisto PMd the Otaku Attack Force's account, asking for permission to do a fanart of us.
That's cool! we replied.
So tonight, I decided to check in on the account, and - guess what - there was a message in our box [from the 3rd, ouch...], giving a link to the completed piece.
Pownsome pie.
The three of us are like "wooooaaaah". As Timba said, "we're like...famous now". XD; And 'gome has a Beavis and Butthead laugh going through her head. We're all pretty out of it. >>;

An amazin', feeeeeeelin', cooooooming throuuuuuugh
As I said to 'gome:
HAHAHAHAA!
Where am I? I, dear patrons of myOtaku, am in the front yard of my grandparents. Very randomly. I'm just sitting in the yard, random bugs eating me alive.
In the corner of my room, I kept picking up a flickering wireless signal. I decided to head out of the house (which, although a ranch, is located on the second floor...pretty gnarly). Sure enough, about twenty feet out from the spot, I picked up the signal and got connected.
I need to see if I can get connected in the driveway. These bugs are killing my arms...
Nothin' much to report, other then I have 19 new e-mails, 10 new deviations to check out, and 25 messages on DA. ...Good Lord, I should go on vacation more often...

Lexington, TN
So while I couldn't get on the internet last night, I managed to snatch up the one computer that's in the lobby. It has highspeed internet. =D
...It's a pretty kickass computer, too. >.O Yeap, not bad...
Anyways. The internet the hotel provided was like "it's for your wi-fi!", so I'm like "OMFG GREAT!" But even though Lappy picked up the signal and got connected, you apparently had to log in to go anywhere.
...Log in? Log in with...what?
Sooo...pie.
While on the highway/tollway/freeway, I picked up several wireless signals. o.O Whenever I pulled out Lappy (a grand total of two times), there were signals 90% of the time. And they would last for a long, long time.
Where they came from, I have no idea.
Ah. Car battery. We were able to set out at 10am, and we managed to get to the hotel at around 9pm (10pm eastern time).
Woah holy crap I have 10 messages at DA. x_x
So that's it for Katana. No garunteeing when you'll hear from me again.
PS to 'gome/Timba: If you see me on YIM, try to IM me. I went on my phone and then accidentally deleted my buddy list. x.x

...Ma
...Well.
We set off at 7:30am. Go to the gas station about two miles from our house to top off the gas tank.
Fill up. Car doesn't start.
Battery's dead.
Dad's getting it changed right now while I'm being the lackey and looking up the customer service number for the hotel chain.
Being on Compy is sorta like a "woah" experince for me. Namely because the monitor is really, really old. Things are washed out in comparison to Lappy's screen. Those it's nice to be back on the keyboard. :3;
On a slightly different note, I started Katana's Epic Vacation Video of Doom this morning. I sounded like I had chronic bronchitis or something, though. X3 I'll hopefully be able to chronicle the events of the trip every morning, with some bursts of afternoon and evening thrown in.
Timba and 'gome told me to scream out the name of my project while I'm at my grandparents house. I shall. And then I will see if the golfers react. >_>;

Probably the last post before vacation
Note time again.
- Adobe Flash is probably owning my soul over "Oblivion". I haven't touched the XBox 360 all day. >.>
- Yotsuba&! volume 4 is still not in my hands. Drastic measures must be taken to ensue I have it before Saturday. *fist pump*
- On that note, the newest "RIGHT TURN ONLY!!" column at ANN give Yotsuba 4 an A-. Nice.
- Tomorrow is my last day of driver's ed. I'd say I'm a pretty good driver - haven't gotten in an accident yet, afterall. ;D I already have almost ten hours of driving clocked in, so I'm on a roll.
- I've been banned from removing Lappy from its base station. It has two minor cosmetic damages and I got blamed for them. <_>
- Gadjrkljleioutpiuytpie.
- To answer the question that two of you *coughtimbabellcough* asked, I point you in the direction of this video. Sorry bell. [When the dancing trio agents have their segments, he's the off-timed one on the left.]
- Look! I can make mine say oboe shoes!
- Something I noticed due to my random, wandering brain. You know how the backrooms have blue sidebars and white backgrounds? Well, I figured those were the colors of my backroom because they're the main table colors of my site.
But whenever I would log out of my account and go into somebody else's [ie, if Haya or Aiyanna were over], their backrooms would be the same colors as mine. I just figured that the intornet magic carried over and didn't delete cookies. Or something.
No. Apparently, the blue I chose for my column is the exact blue used in the backroom. Same hex code. So...what does that mean? x.x;
- I need a new DevID...

Dances of flashy vacations
THE TITLE SHALL BE MADE CLEAR SOON WOOOH!
Word of the Post: Epic
Hmm, haven't updated in a while...
So what's shakin'? With me? Not too much. Ah wait, hang on - *opens window* - there, that's better.
...
Thoughts not in order. Cheap note version is required.
- Waffuru and I plan on submitting a video for the Haruhi Dance Challenge. We have yet to learn the dance. (That's what this week is for. 8D) In any case, I'm going to assume we're going to try to pimp out WaKD...
YOU'LL GET TO SEE TEH KATANA IN REAL FORM RAWR!
...*looks at bell. Shinkiro. Schultzie.*
- Speaking of WaKD, the new comic is being inked. (Sorry Waffles, I'm lazy. P:)
- This is my last week of driver's ed. I've proven to be a fairly decent driver, if the five hours of practice have anything to say about it. The next step is to conquer Geneva - aka, an actual town. *EPIC FAILURE*
- Due to the recent podcast, there's an epic battle about fangirls and other random crap.
Here's my last word on it all:
STFU ALREADY! *_*
- On the podcast note, all members of the Otaku Attack Force have been given permanent (?) nicknames. It stated off with me as Katakana. Next came Timba as T-dub (which I still think is because she likes dubs >.>). And now Sangome is Sam Wilder.
When I checked Google, Sam Wilder was an ugly football player for the Colts. *points 'gome in direction of the OPB*
- "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" has once again made an appearance in my life. Actually, it's more like a stranglehold. >.> Hence why I haven't been online much in the afternoons.
Oblivion Gates be damned! I want to go and put Imperial Guard captains in jail!
- I downloaded Adobe Flash yesterday. After an epic battle of confusion, I've managed to trace and partly color a new drawing. Since I reached a pitfall, I've exported it to Photoshop to finish the job. >>;;
- Probably the most important news is that I'm going on vacation this Saturday. The worst part is, it's for ten days. Ten. June 30th - July 10th. x_x Luckily, all is not lost, as I'm bringing Lappy along for the ride. Where's the destination? My grandparents in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
These grandparents are awesome. Especially my grandpa. He's totally kickass. So much that I would like all my friends to meet him. :3
Lappy has wi-fi built in, which, if I'm lucky and the neighbors have a router, I may be able to have 'net access for most of the trip. Adding to the likeliness is that some neighbors have kids. The two hotels we're staying in (trip there, trip back) have free internet access as well. I'll be staying in those this Saturday (so I can still listen to the podcast!) and Monday the 9th.
I make no garuntees. >.>;
But why am I so hung up on internet if this is a vacation? Because this is not a "fun" vacation. This is a "relaxing" vacation. Put two and two together. -_-;
- I think I have an internet boyfriend. o_o;

Wow!
I've always wanted this to happen!
A recent comment on WaKD 10 says thus:
SORRY if am wrong but I have seen that comic strip some wer els
Now, before anybody gets angry, I will say that I hold absolutely no hostilities towards the commenter. At all. I'm rather amused, actually. For some deranged reason, I've always wanted someone to say that they've seen the comics somewhere before.
That somewhere is my DeviantArt. *nudges links at top* Though a simple investigation in the rest of my fan manga reveals my crummy chibis are everywhere. As are Waffles and Katana. >>;
I'm not so quick to jump the gun when it comes to accusing people of plagiarism (I'm not mad, commenter, I promise!). There are a few steps I follow to see if a person's graphic is indeed their own. We shall use wallpapers as an example.
1.) Check the rest of their wallpapers to investigate the quality of those.
2.) Check their fanart if you suspect that the graphic they've used is a fanart.
3.) Check their myOtakus for any links to outside art sources, such as DeviantArt.
And...yeah.
Though hell, if you find my stuff anywhere else, show me! I'd be rather excited. *SHOT*
