Thankfully I have Kawaii and Nahk to help me out and get me what I need. Indeed, but it also seems like everyone's getting sick too. It's almost like the stress and exhaustion have picked up a baseball bat and going on a rampage. My boredom in class always accompanies my increasing exhaustion, thus sending me off into dreamland for a short amount of time. It's a good thing I have Seth here to take notes for me. Seth: *Nods meekly and coughs.* That is if I don't fall to slumber as well... Yesh. I feel like I'm getting better, but I still feel very light-headed whenever I stand up and walk about. I hope things get better for all of us soon... I hate feeling like this; all weak and helpless against this thing we call "gravity". Seth: In the meantime, all we can really do together is talk. *Nodnods.* I've found out some really interesting things about my dear Sethy too! Seth: o.o;; *Clears throat and quotes.* All my life I have been waiting for something real, something exotic... I guess you could say "danger hunts me" in the darkness. I've felt horrible since the day after State Competition and I really keep laughing at myself because I never thought it was possible to worry myself sick. xD Seth: *Heaves and coughs.* Poor dear's sick too... far worse than me though. *Pats Seth's forehead with a washcloth.* Anyway.. in case curiosity has eaten you away yet, here's what all happened on Saturday. I woke up early and headed into the shower to get everything ready. Take in mind that I was up PRETTY damn early considerinf how late I went to bed the night before. I got everything ready that I needed and headed to the school where we warmed up, got presents from Liz (Our instructor) and got on the bus to head for Southwest High School. We got there and found out that SW High school is freakin' huge. We warmed-up, went in for a quick run through... and then entered the hall where we waited to perform. The whole time I stood there... I couldn't keep myself from smiling because I was filled with so much dread, fear and stress. We entered the gym floor and got set to perform. When the music started, I smiled as best as I could and performed the best I have ever performed in my life. At the end, we rushed to grab our flags and rifles and quickly exited the gym floor. Everyone seemed to feel the happiness that we had performed our best yet. We hugged Liz and then dressed into jeans and our guard shirts. We hung about watching random guard shows and sat in the Cafeteria for what seemed like forever. In a sense, I got closer to a lot of the people on the guard and enjoyed hanging with them. Sadly, Maki had to leave.... I missed her; just not her sister. After about 13 hours af being in the school, we got dressed in uniform and headed to line up for retreat. Micheal (The current Colorguard Captain) was attempting to explain to us what "All-state guard member" was and I wasn't getting it at first. Basically, all-state member is an award that given to two of the hardest working guard members of the guard. Micheal said he knew who one of the ones were and when I pointed at Julie (An amazing freshmen who has a talent for colorguard) he nodded. I was beyond happy for her. All 40-something guards lined up and they called out the all-state members. When they got to our school thay called Micheal and then me. I was taken by surprise so much that I hesitated. xD I linked arms with Micheal and walked to the front where we stood. I was really proud of myself and felt so happy that I was recognized for how hard I worked. We placed an overall 14 out of 23 guards or around that number. Hey, at least it wasn't last place... but we kinda got jipped since some of the worst guards placed before us... which is just bull, but at least we weren't place. We went home and I woke up feeling sick the next day and it got kinda worse. u.u;;; Oh well... at least things looked up afterall. Gotta go! Duty calls in this waste-of-time class. State UIL competition and I'm really nervous about all of it. I'm not as worried about the fact that I might mess up on the guard work, but I'm concerned about everyone else and the fact that all of this shit with Sami has started up. I'm sorry to say it, but Sami does NOT have authority over me and the rest of the guard like she think she does. Sami, if you ever read; blow me. Seth: That's not very nice... Anyway... I have to stay at Southwest High School ALL day tomorrow until retreat. So anyone that has my cell phone number... please call us! Lemony Slash and I will be so bored tomorrow. I'm so concerned about everyone with this performance coming up. So many "what if"'s run through my head. No matter how much I tell myself not to think about the bad parts, but it always comes back. What if the others lose their expression? What if someone flips out because they dropped their flag? What if.... what if.... x.x Oh well.... at least I have comfort in knowing that this is the last thing for Winterguard and then Sami will go back to band, no more late practice, and more time to catch up on homework and my grades. I guess I can only say this because this is going to be my last Winterguard practice for the year... then it's all over; no more colorguard until my Captain try out in May. It's not even May yet, but I'm very nervous about the whole thing. I remember wanting to be captain of the colorguard ever since my freshmen year, but I'm having my doubts with trying out. I hope it make though. I have to prepare a two minutes routine and then the band director's are going to interview me... so nervous. e.e;;; I've been Colorguard for two years now and I think I have what it takes to be a good captain for the guard, but the directors may not think the same thing.
