My fuckin' wonderful day!
I know I need to post more, but this is must know information.




Okay. Here's my rant today. I was backing up at Wal-Mart and this woman with a POS truck turned into the lane and sped into me. No one has to pay anything, luckily, it's just really funny. I think she saw a teenager and immediately though the damage already done could be 'caused by me' since she came speeding up the other lane as I walked to the car.

She jumped down my throat, bitching me out for not looking (I did) then called the cops. The cop came, said I had an attitude, which sent me into tears. I told him about my mom being sick and possibly going into the hospital. He calmed me down and at one point took me to the car by my shoulders and leaned me against it due to the fact I was shaking so badly that I couldn't stand up anymore. Mama came, we got the info, the bitch refused us hers, and the cop lightened up when he realized my mom looked like she was dead. He told me no one was getting a satation or ticket. I also told him it was a rental and I wasn't on the contract, but he said due to circumstances, I would not be arrested since I wasn't running due to stealing the car. He saw no legal action that needed to be done.

The worst thing is the woman hit on the cop, making sure he saw she had boobs. The injustices of this world are fuckin' amazing. Not only that, she admitted to waiting on the parking spot when she said she didn't see me. Also, she said damages that weren't even caused by my car were. The cop realized it and noted that. Sorry for another also, but she also refused to give us her information. Oh well. Once I get the police report, she's going to regret it.

I'm actually happy the cop softened though. I'm still terrified and always will be. I got sick too but oh well. I'm going to start parking in spots I can pull through. Follow it, it's good advice.

   Dragon*Con (August 31st-September 3rd)
I know this is a late post but I figured I should post it anyway, so here goes. Dragon*Con was actually a very good con this year and was fairly dramaless until the last day for the most part.

Thursday - We made the venture down there, luckily, without any problems other than the heat since we literally left during the heat of the day. When we got to the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, it turned out that, regardless of my father reserving a room for the Concierge Level, we had to stay on the floor just below since my father isn't a Gold Member. Due to that, it took a bit of time for us to get into the room and during that time, one of the cages that my hermit crabs reside in was knocked over and part of it broke. One of my crabs nearly got stepped on but luckily, someone saw him and quickly gave him back to me. We all got our badges almost immediately after that and since Michael had a transfer and Mama and I were with him, we were able to skip in line. He's a good luck charm sometimes. The weather got really bad that afternoon so Cody, Michael, and I stayed with my parents. Things got a bit hectic since they and Chelsey were supposed to stay with Jeanne, Wendy, and Mary but things worked out and Chelsey ended up coming up Friday morning.

Friday - The first official day of the Con. Not much, as in con stuff, actually happened on this day. Chelsey got there early so Michael and I were able to run get Mary and Wendy. We missed a lot of good cosplayers but that comes with the territory of getting people and we also got stuck on the way back from Jeanne's house. We had a photoshoot at two PM we were supposed to go to as well but we didn't quite make it. Once we got back, it was around noonish (maybe a little bit after) so we did our best to get into the room and Chelsey and Alex left to get Alex's stuff. Luckily, we were able to but a piece of my luggage got lost so that got me in a panic attack until Michael found it in the lobby. All my stuff was still there too so that was a major relief. After that, Michael, Wendy, and I rushed to get our Bleach costumes on for the shoot even though we missed it by about forty-five minutes. The best thing, however, was once we were walking to the bottom level of the Marriott, my phone rang and Michael got down on one knee. Of course, this didn't seem out of the usual since he had to get my phone out of the bag. Well, while my attention was elsewhere, he pulled something else out of the bag, a ring. He called my name and I ignored him then glanced to him when he called again. I simply turned my head and looked away once more then he grabbed my hand and I looked at him once more. While he had my attention, he smiled and said, "Alli, will you marry me?" He says I gave him a weird look and I know I managed (I don't know how) to say "Are you serious?" Once he nodded, I started crying and fell into his arms, nodding instead of speaking. After that, there was a mini Bleach shoot that later had a Miroku in it (don't ask) and not much else happened until Chelsey, Alex, Mary, Alex's brother, Michael, and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe Downtown. It was pretty funny due to some of the conversations and Chelsey and Alex actually danced the YMCA in the cafe. Good times. We crashed after that and Jeanne came later and we all slept.

Saturday - Parade Day. Everyone in the room woke up early because we were all supposed to be in the Parade. It ended up just being Alex in her Lupin/Padfoot costume. The rest of us were just too damn lazy. Not much of notable interest actually happened on this day other than Michael reproposing so Chelsey could film it. We actually made it to the Bleach shoot. Um...We actually went into the Dealer's Room and Exhibitor's Halls. I had my only third or fourth alone meal with Michael since we started dating. It was quiet and overall nice other than the hair glue in my hair kept getting in my mouth. Some other random things happened like I got on the elevator to go to my parents' room and ended up bumping into Matthew Lewis since he gotten on the wrong elevator. We ended up talking for a bit. He's a really nice guy. That night, I saw Barry and he's looking good (healthy) and it was just a crazy night because Emily and her brother, Andy, came into the room and yeah. Barry + the room group + Emily + Andy + Barry's friends = crazy, CRAZY conversations. It was nice though. When I stop and think about it, I miss some of those people more than my own family. Anyway, after all that, we crashed for the night.

Edit for Saturday: Chelsey and I donated blood as Roxas and Kairi from Kingdom Hearts II. It was pretty fun but I froze my ass off while doing it though.

Sunday - Masquerade Day! Sunday was just a bunch of mixed up happenings. I missed three photoshoots I wanted to go to due to a costume malfunction of Michael's which, in my opinion, should be replaced by the commissioner. Sunday was the last full day I saw my friends. I recorded the Masquerade in the room via Dragon*Con TV complete with our commentary. I got a feather in my back (don't ask) and I saw Barry for the last time of the Con since we left fairly early Monday. We later went out to have our own mini Kingdom Hearts photoshoot and ended up staying out until close to five am. I saw one of my life-long con friends (my first official crush) who went into embarrassing details of knowing me. I hadn't seen him for over a year and I only spoke to him for a few minutes. Turns out he's engaged too. He didn't recognize me at first since I've changed my hair color and lost weight but it was good seeing him. He's like a brother I see very little of now. There was a hobo that kept harassing us outside of the Marriott and he made a beeline for my camera. Once Michael grabbed the Keyblade, he was scared off, though.We later ended up with Miroku as a roomie for maybe four hours. After that, we went to the room but it was at least 5:30-6 am before we slept.

Monday - The last and officially saddest day of the Con. It wasn't really that bad other than we made the venture home and some of the people I see there, I see maybe once a year. Sometimes, it's not even that. Well, once we were within an hour of my hometown, Mama's car died after we hit something. The car lost all it's oil and once I pulled over, me being the idiot that I am, I tried starting it again which caused it to throw a rod and ultimately kill the engine. In an effect, a very good weekend was ended in horror and stress since I killed my mother's only mode of transportation.

Overall, Dragon*Con 2007 was one of the best cons I've been too in awhile, if not my entire life. I met several great people and I saw on of the happiest moments in my life. I came home with a Kon and a Renji plushie, both from Bleach, as well as a phone charm from the same series, and a few other odds and ends. I had so much fun and I wish it didn't have to end. I think about it now and I cry. I look forward to 2008 already!

   To All that Have Ever Lost a Pet (Very Important)

Here is part of his owner's story:

"I found Mugoddai on the island of Guam in July of 1997. I was under employed and things weren't going well. Uncle Jaime next door asked me to get up on a ladder because something was squeaking under his tin roof. I thought I was going to put my hand on a rat, but instead, I pulled out a tiny black kitten. His eyes were still closed. I said to Uncle Jaime, "Uncle Jaime, you have a kitten.!" Uncle Jaime said, "No, dear, you do!"
I had to feed him every three hours around the clock. He was sickly and cried all the time. I started teaching multicultural communications at the Guam Community College. Many of my students were police officers--big guys with crew cuts and jack boots. They took turns bottle feeding Mugoddai. Once an officer drove up to my apartment. When I came out to see what was wrong, the officer told me, "I'm just coming by to check up on Mugoddai."
And that is how Mugoddai began me on this journey. There was something special about this kitty. And even though I can't find him, there still is."

Please, people, do something to help her if you can. If you have never done anything for others or never will, please...If you know how it feels to loose an animal, you have even more reason.

Omg!
I'm posting! Can you believe it? I can't, but oh well. I'm here.

I don't have much to say like always, but I'm going to post anyway. I went to MegaCon last much. It was pretty fun in so many ways, but there was also a lot of drama. A con isn't a con without drama though. I'm learning that the hardway too. Crazy Ass Weekend
Happy belated New Year's everyone! Hope it was safe! Mine was just crazy. I went with my friend, Amanda (the Sesshoumaru in the group picture under my Inuyasha cosplay), to meet her Landels friends(Landels is a LiveJournal based role playing game. We drove to Indiana, which is about an eight to nine hour drive. It was actually fun though we did get lost a few times. We met Cayliss(Catherina/Riku Replica) at a Motel 6 around 6:30. Three hours later, we met Zach/Cloud(Katrina) and decided to go out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. It was fun trying to find that because we got lost again and had to ask directions, which was fun because we had the music turned up so loud when Cayliss and Zach were gone that the car, a Dodge Caliber, was bouncing. I think the band was Psycho la Slim.

Once we found the Cheesecake Factory and sat down, the waitress(who we all thought was a waiter) began hitting on us. It wasn't until later we discovered that it was a woman. That was all because Amanda's middle name is Elaine and it turned out the waitress' first name is Elaine as well. She squeed over that, which freaked Amanda out to no end and caused her to sit closer to Zach. Once we left, we told Amanda had she been grabbed and pulled away, we all would have grabbed her and tried to pull her back, but if the waitress could pull all four of us, we'd just let go and take the keys, then run as far away as we could.

We also stole a knife because we had two cakes in the room yet nothing to cut or ice them with. We took only one but since we couldn't find the other tree, we thought we had taken them all. It was actually kind of funny. We got back to the room around midnight(Keep in mind we went to eat around nine) and Amanda and I crashed. I remember waking up to hear a guy's voice, but I was too lazy to move to see who it was. I moved sometime later after trying to go back to sleep wouldn't work and found out that the guy was Walter(Basil). He left around three and I think everyone in the room (the four of us girls) died, just out and out died for the night. We woke up the next morning and all was well until my dad called and thoroughly upset me. That was settled quickly though. We mostly hung out in the room until we decided to go to the grocery store, which lucky for us, was across the street, to buy candy. It was New Year's Eve so go figure. Sometime later, Vic(Sam, yes, a girl)and Walter came to the room with KFC food so our New Year's dinner was KFC. Vic also brought rum soaked cherries and I kept asking for one but no one would let me have one because of my age...How sad.

We ate and watched Naruto dubs just to make fun of it since the voices are horrible. I think we had too much fun doing that. Later, Deadpool(Shawn) came and we started watching Vampire Hunter D, the original, and began getting the plastic wine glasses ready for 12:01. We paused VHD long enough to watch the ball drop and to sing Fanfare. We did a toast but most of the wine glasses fell apart. I don't remember much after that because I died shortly after except I do remember bits and pieces of VHD: Bloodlust.

I woke up Monday morning because someone threw shoes at someone else and they hit my leg. We all got packed up since we had to leave then went to the Ohio River in Louisville, Kentucky, to take pictures. We all just about froze. I thought my face was going to freeze off. After that, we went to eat at Texas Roadhouse which was in the mall and that had to be one of the weirdest conversations I've ever had while eating because Vic said she'd kidnap me and take me to Voodoo Fest or something like that since I've never had crawfish/crawdads. We also decided to do a CanCan line as we started walking to the cars and I think we nearly gave a driver a heartattack since we were all in a straight line. Once we got to the cars, we sung FanFare again.

We went back to the hotel then said our goodbyes which lasted quite awhile do to all the group hugs for warmth. Amanda and I then went to Knoxville, TN, to crash with some cons friends and play DDR, which we didn't know until we got there. Our friends were up until eight am and we crashed around 1:45-ish. We said our goodbyes once we woke up then headed home.

All in all, this had to be the best New Year I've ever had and most likely the most fun I've ever had. It was one of those "I never want this to end" kind of weekends. One of the sad things was I had asked Michael to come up and stay with us for New Year's Eve but he had to work and his car lost a tire. I nearly cried about that because I wanted to see him so badly and I don't get to see him again for another twenty-three days...-sniffle- Though it's only seven days until my birthday!!!
