i died and went to heaven this weekend...
i wish i lived in a town like the cosplay... there's one in japan, now that i think about it... blah, ruined visual aside: the con ROXXORED
i entered the Smash tournament at the con, but one of the haxxors that runs gamecrazy (shaun, if you want to be specific about names) beat me in the first match. oh well, the game crazy he works at is holding another tournament, so i'll get my vengeance then...
there was a guy dressed as The Baron from the Cat Returns... i would've glomped him but he seemed shy x-x and there was a pyramid head there too, i saw him squeeze his nipple... his PYRAMID NIPPLE *dun dun duuuun* and there was a Ganondorf cosplayer there with his daughter... it was ironically cute XD
there were way too many Ed's... seriously, wtf. even with my favorite characters there's a limit, i applaud the guy who went as Shin-Chan (and even made the head three-dimensionally proportionate so his cheek was sticking way out like it usually does XD) surprisingly, not many Trinity Blood cosplays....
and i got to meet Dave, the guy who runs the Snafu Comics website and the guy who draws the Snafu comic. we talked with him and two other webcomic artists about what you need to run your own webcomic, so i learned a little bit from that, but for the most part some basics that i already knew.
and i got to see one of my favorite mangas as an anime... on the big screen! they showed the first 2 episodes of D.Gray-Man, and they were pretty good, though the intro video is kinda dumb.
a girl who went as Turk Vincent invited me to an anime club at a school near mine, so i might check that out. there's a good chance most of them will be raving inu/naruto fans, but i'll live.
