Photobucket - Video and Image HostingWhy the Rich get Richer

This article mainly discusses why lazy people don’t get rich. Robert Kiyasaki the columnist wrote about why some people don’t get rich. He assess that those who are rich are so because they had an ambition and drive. For that, they went after what they wanted and got it. People these days want to be rich but, don’t put in any effort. They become angry when someone tells them they aren’t doing what they should be.

One of the principles involved in this article is principle #1: People Face Tradeoffs. “There is no such thing as a free lunch” but apparently some people think there is. They want to be rich but don’t out forth the effort. They don’t realize that in order to get something they have to give up something. In this case give up laziness and you might actually get somewhere. Another principle that relates to this article is principle #3: Rational People Think at the Margin. In order to get rich or get some more money you have to make marginal changes. First start with incremental adjustments and go on from there. If the lazy people get off their butt and started looking for better paying jobs or worked a little harder they might have more money.

I agree that some people aren’t rich because they are lazy. If people did more work and put more effort they wouldn’t be stuck in a certain position. This relates to class because it deals with opportunity cost: an item is what you give up to get it. I believe those lazy people will stay lazy and broke unless they get up and start making changes, soon.
