Modest Proposal
Saran-wrap solution:
I walked outside to look at the clear blue sky and what do I find, smog as far as the eye can see. My eyes began to water and my breath got shallow and I felt like I was being suffocated. I had to rushed to the hospital by a friend when I got there they told me it was do to the lack of fresh air. A problems caused by pollution, if only there was a way to contain it. I voiced my concern to the people of California and they all had different opinion as to who is at fault. It’s not just the state of California or the U.S., other countries are experiencing the same problems with pollution. The overuse of our scarce resources leads us to play the blame game, Stacy Lear of Seattle, Washington reflects her views “it’s the businessmen’s faults for creating those factories.” Chairman of Mongolian Clothes and fashion Inc., rebutted by saying “It’s the people’s fault for not taking care of the environment properly. Trash littered everywhere, that trash that travels and pollutes places like the Baltimore Chesapeake Bay.” Everyone’s always blaming someone else who they view as the “polluters,” funny really because the reality is we are the polluters. Rather than blaming one another let’s create a solution.
The Pollution Solution:
The problem: pollution
The solution: saran-warp
I know many of you think this is some kind of weird joke, but seriously listen. With saran-wrap we can contain the pollution. Put it all over the sky and the California smog will no longer affect us. Lay it down in the water and the trash will go there and stop polluting the water and destroying the little fishes we love so much. We will finally be doing something than just saying “oh, I want to do something about this.” Jake Gillard of Chicago, Illinois says “You know at first I thought this was a dumb idea, but then I saw the crew put up the saran-wrap and it actually works’, who knew!” Many American are now getting saran-fever, those who were never aware are Dr. Lillia Gibbens and environmental biotechnologist who’s been working on a solution to this problem for 12 years says “I love this idea, the saran-wrap is clear so people are aware of it, but it still does the job even we couldn’t do.” Saran-wrap is taking the world by storm, countries in West Africa and South Africa have also put saran-wrap in the sky as well as in the water. Australian Prime Minister John Howard has set their saran-wrap to go up a week from Thursday. “This is the best thing that could have happened to us, we finally have a solution that works!”
p.s. This is all my idea
