i get a lot of guestbook signs saying 'i love your site, come visit me' not that i'm saying i don't like them or nothing, but the funny thing is, i have the default site. i haven't done anything to it (i know it's just a stock thing to say when one's going around signing gb's and all, but it still gives me a giggle)

anywho. my interview went well. guy's just got to check out my references and if those go well, i've got a job. if not, a friend's parent promised me a job at the theater they're manager at so it won't make much difference. i'm kind of reluctant to take the job though (feels like a handout sorta), so i'm waiting this one out.

just saw last saturday's fma on rerun and i've noted it never fails that i get attached to the character in books, t.v. shows, movies, etc. that dies (hughes in this case). they're always my favorite, and then they die, and then i'm sad. ::sigh::

got an interview with a local movie theater saturday @ 8.15. for the love of god hire me.

took ap eng lit & comp exam today. will take ap studio art tomorrow, and the last of my exams (ap psych and ap env sci) go tuesday. prom is thurs, and if i get this job i may actually be able to go (and will have to according to the deal i made with a friend). i'm about to die.

note: on day discrepencies, by today i meant thurs. and tomorrow fri. it's midnight. same diff.

i have yet to learn my lesson about pizza after it's set out all night.
so ayaa competition was friday. that's the arkie's young artists association. took three pieces, got honorable mention comm art, 4th watercolor formalism, and 1st for graphic arts.

this further proves my theory that the judges are stupid.

but anywho. what really sucked though is we simply HAD to be late, and then HAD to go to the damn mall for lunch and thus miss seeing the ART which was the whole reason i'd bothered.

but i did get a cookie on a stick at the mall. that made up for it slightly.

plus my buddy kina brought me a miyavi c.d. the only j-rock or j-pop artist i like. so lovely to work to.

   totally freaked out.
cousin dennis called. AGAIN. O__o saying hello, what's up, think i'll come for a visit, how're your sisters...
?!? come for a visit?! i do NOT KNOW YOU, BOY! i was totally blindsided by that one, and a little shaken. so i ended up calling my father (he's my father's brother's son) to try to figure out what the crap was up with him, and he has no idea either. turns out he's not seen dj (the cousin--his father's dennis too) or his father (dj's father i mean, so his brother, my uncle that i was only dimly aware of) for 15 years. i've not seen him since i was 2. so at least my father's on my side as far as the whole 'what the crap?' thing goes with cousin dj. was kind of scared he'd be mad, considering he is technically family and all. turns out it was my grandmother who gave him our number. she called and apologized, which made me feel kind of bad for making a big deal out of it, but oh well.

O.o this was too weird.

i officially love bigby wolf.
i got Fables: Legends in Exile today. god i wish i'd gotten into american comics sooner. i didn't know what i was missing! and you know what else i saw? Marvel 1604 or something. basically, the Marvel comic book characters as they would have been in 1604. WRITTEN BY NEIL GAIMAN NO LESS! i died a little. it was 24.95 though. sigh. wishlist it is, then. hm. nothing interesting has happened lately. i reeeaally need to get a jump on my studio work. i'll take some to work w/me tomorrow.


hell yeah that's the duomo. in FLORENCE. those are some of my classmates in front, as well as throngs of tourists. ::die::

and by the by? upcoming Howl's Moving Castle fills me with delight.
