oh the smudging!
submitted new Flame of Recca paper. the smudging on it nearly killed me. i was at it for like 2 hours. but i've wanted to use this image for some time now as it's one of the only color images of domon not being comic relief and usable for a paper too. and it's just a nice image.

   how do i do it?! volume, volume, volume!
so i'm basically over the flu. i'm still tired, but other than that and coughing i'm done. i need to finish The Stranger apparently. online summary it is! and apparently the worksheet on Metamorphosis was due a week ago and this somehow escaped me. huh. wierd. ah well. never finished it anyway. got a 96 on my paper. soo, i'm not worrying about any worksheet.

had to change my studio concentration too. doing it on what happens to the old fairy tales and mythologies used to explain natural phenomena. ::coughripoffamericangodscough:: sigh.

still haven't produced anything worth looking at. ::cry and bemoan fate::

meh, i've been having more and more trouble getting my user page to load... ::shrug::
think i'm getting sick. or i have a 24 hour thing. i felt horrible all day, and suddenly in psych started feeling better. and now i'm going down again. hooray for the roller coaster of life. my mom and sister are sick too. oh fuuun. ah well.

if i do get sick though, i'll be able to catch up on studio. yay! now all i need are ideas!

ooh my dearness. post actually about manga. how odd.

MÄR got licensed for north american release! squeal of joy! le sigh. if only i had money... and i have no idea how i'm going to supply myself in college... i'm a bit of a closet case, see... ::nervous cough::. shoe box under the bed it is then! besides, i'll just use the excuse that i'm 'studying them' to further advance myself for entry into an industry becoming more and more heavily influenced by the manga genre. note to self: make sure to bring sandman and other american comic books to further cover story... curse my living in a city with no decent comic book shops... and by that i mean ones i'm not utterly terrified to enter... ^.^;; you may think i'm cowardly, but arkansan nerds are quite scary! and combine that with the hick-ness, it's a bit nerve wracking to wonder who's going to prove their barbarian can SOO kick yancy-joe's paladin by fetching the rifle from the truck since they were just stopping by from deer hunting in that grove of trees off the interstate...

now to scan the actually finished naruto sketch and delete the last one! woot! and to prove i really don't have a life and do have full blown senioritis, have an avatar! i should finish some of my photoshop doodles. but drawing with a mouse is hard!

oh yeah! finally got my sister to loan me American Gods by Neil Gaiman. score! mmm, mmm, i love me some Gaiman books. ::skeedaddle once again::

doing dance of achieving animation goals via graphic design major / illustration minor.

ahem. so i am soooo posting some form of art before i go to bed. why? b/c, dammit, i'm going to get myself drawing in a fashion that is NOT labeled 'anime,' and i need feedback to do it! (deviantart? can't get a bit of feedback. it's too big!). it has a bit of a negative stigma, if you've talked to any art school reps lately. ::coughmicacough:: so yeah. you're going to see a lot more original stuff from me. so shut up and die if you don't like it, oedipus!

also. i have decided to do something to censor my mouth in public. i have a surprisingly naughty mouth to people that know me. anymore, i can barely complete a sentence without swearing, it's ridiculous! i have replaced mother fucker. i will now use oedipus. why am i telling you? because i'm proud of it! it's so obvious, and makes me feel clever, despite it not being so in any fashion at all.

let's play with stereotypes! whee!
why can't boys do laundry? this is something that bothers me, sort of. like, when i went to ags, all the boys i knew were asking chicks how to do laundry and stuff and we heard all these horror stories about them overfilling their laundry machines in their dorms and what not. it's really nuts. i do my own laundry usually. i don't usually bother sorting it, mind, but i can (darks and lights--oh yeah, that's hard), and i hand wash stuff that's hand washed and what not, but it seems that most boys are stupefied when it comes to a laundry machine. hm. why is this?
