you know, you guys get so much more love than my livejournal, where i actually know the people. huh.
in a bloggish mood. talked me mam into letting me take digital camera to school w/me tomorrow. meaning you will see my giganto drawing piece that's in the gallery now, as well as my claymation model. will try to get spare print of my thing at the gallery, too, for devart (larger versions of what i'm talking about will again be at devart. as i haven't updated that in a good bit). am actually taking camera to do a drawing piece. it's gonna be like a flip book, of the seven deadly sins and tracing paper! woo! god i love tracing paper. note: bring flashlight bulb to school. (you'll understand tomorrow). yes.
oh yeah! working on Kingdom Hearts 2 paper (yaaay, screencaps!). why you ask, when alison doesn't even have a ps2 to have played the first game? i'm obsessed with the story. and it's a GBA game, meaning i can get it! ::happy dance::

millenium hand and shrimp!
bonus points if you can spot where that's from. and like a kajillion cookies.
anywho. stayed home from school today. after not having a day off for three weeks (between school & museum) it gets to you. so i talked me mam (whose had walking pneumonia for like a month and only found out like monday) into letting me stay home. and stay home i did. and got sooo much work done. didn't finish anything, mind you, but got leaps and bounds further in several pieces, got some thumbnails for a few more pieces, and am currently working on article reviews. also finished my paper. go me! and i'm not dreading school tomorrow! (as in 'holy christ let it burn down over night or something i feel nauseous and am going to cry look there's freaking tears in my eyes now' kind of dread). and work doesn't seem incredibly horrid. as long as i don't have any parties. ::shudder:: gods i hate birthday cake.
oh yeah. and the reception went well. new library is fantastic. will sooo be spending lots of time there (it's not even a football field away from the school). lots of cool things. about 6 people sold shtuff. don't know who (neither does the teacher ironically, or the sellers, except some guy named joe sold two. ::kills joe as alison worked to tears on hers::. will try to get a print of mine and put up a photo).

i bled all over my giraffe sock. oh.
have to revise my stupid graphic design book report--i mean, career research essay. sigh. most pointless paper i've ever done. in other news. worked all weekend. so of course no homework is done. christ i need a break already. =__= after i finish paper i am sooo going to bed.
oh yeah. reason why i'm posting. going to a reception tomorrow at a local library opening (sigh. i'm still so bitter about missing the clinton library opening. i missed whatshisface from u2!!). why, you ask? b/c i have art there! woot! i'm in a show! as well as everyone else in upper level comm art but who cares! show! where i sell things! hopefully. i need to go wash my socks now, as now there's blood on my monkey sock (they don't match and there's a cut on my leg. ow).

score one for the alison team!
had a bit of a scare with getting my passport. not with getting it itself, but when we got it, my mom is putting it in the fire safe and i say 'don't forget to grab my birth certificate.' of course, she's not listening though, so about two weeks later i suddenly think of it and ask if she put both in it. she says she got the passport, but that i never said a word about my birth certificate. so we thought it had been tossed with the envelope. and she blamed me, of course. after all, her not listening to me as per usual is my fault. we lucked out though. it was on top of the entertainment center. yay! also found my rapidographs, which i had been unable to place for the last couple of days. score! and there's the randomness for the day.

also uploaded a DNAngel wallpaper. have actually never seen it. but i still made a paper for it b/c it has niiiice imagery.

crack them knuckles! woo!
so i'm back! huzzah and hoorah pour moi! (what, it rhymed). WashU ('heh heh heh' giggled the tenchi fans) was nifty. nice and expensive. Flagler's still my top though. saw the Gateway Arch too. another landmark i can cross off my list of things to see. got the coooolest shirt in st. louis though. has that impressionistic painting of the group on the barge (lots of yellow. degas?) printed on the whooole thing. they had starry night, but not in my size. damn big boobs (tis true. the sheer size of my breasts confines my choice of clothing). so yeah, after that bit of over informing you complete strangers.
FINALLY got a new book. haven't gotten one in ages. The Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. wanted to read this for ages. and an art of Discworld book has just been released. as has Nanny Ogg's cookbook. read Maskerade to see why this is awesome. accursed lack of money. read borrowed copies of Alice 19th on the way to st. louis. cutesy. and has a Norweigian. woo random Norweigians! and i get to see my museum friends that graduated and left me last year tomorrow for lunch. score! than i'm off to blow the rest of my trip money on Saiyuki, Trigun Maximum, and Tsubasa if they have it in. save money for europe? bah! considering my skinflint ways, i'll spend two hundred dollars generously. probably. it IS europe after all, i might empty the vault. i want to read some harry potter now. how odd. ...god i'm a nerd. considering WashU is known in the sports world as one of the Nerdy Nine though... (eight now, one of the schools moved up to division 4 i think). yeah. chatty nerd. need to do studio. ta!
