mentoc, the mindtaker! wooo-eee-ee-ooo-ee!
apparently, i'm going to st. louis this weekend. i'm as shocked as you are. going to visit Washington University. i get to sit in on a class. yay! hm, my leg's bleeding. also got to go to a lecture from the director of the National Gallery of Art today. was nifty, but i had trouble staying awake in the slides. doesn't have anything to do with being up til 2 a.m. writing my career research paper. ::sigh:: yay sleep debt! ::falls asleep on desk:: hm. i feel like drawing, but as per usual, have no ability when i want it. poo.

i should go to bed, considering it's past midnight and i fell asleep in psych today...
naaah. loaded up newest wallpaper. think i'm going to go back and revisit some of my older ones, like my first recca (Master and Ninja was the title) , the inuyasha ones(Feudal Fairy Tale and Canis Lupis), and one of the Saiyuki ones (Angelic Demons). maybe the bebop one as well. no idea on it's title. i really don't see why it's so popular, it was the top bebop paper for ages (might still be, god forbid), but it's kinda crappy compared to some of my others. hm. remember, i do take requests on papers. and if i love you lots, it is done in a timely fashion!

close enough.
i did a Sandman wallpaper. normally, since this is NOT an anime or manga, i would simply scamper on over to deviant and submit it there, as i do with the majority of my original art. BUT lovely little deviant hates me and says 'nope. you ain't gonna find a section for fan based wallpapers, like the others.' so i give up. should i just submit it here? i don't think i will. tell you what, i'll make a thumbnail, put it in photobucket, and if you're interested, i'll have a link to it in my photobucket account, and all will be glorious. but i think i will submit that old Tsubasa paper i did that i'm not sure i should submit since there's no section for it and they say 'don't submit fandom papers under original anime' despite the fact that people do so. so yeah. i'm bitter now. ah well.

anyone ever read anything by Christopher Moore? i'm thinking of getting a book or three by him. and another book i really want to get is Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. it describes Napoleon as a corsican upstart, and is about a guy who decided the best way to incite new interest and such in wizardry in the 1800's is to change the course of the Napoleonic wars. most important is the phrase corsican upstart. it makes me giggle.

::strongbad impression:: it's almost over!

but you know whats kinda odd? how people always say in guestbooks, 'i'm adding you as a friend, do you mind?' now. who cares if the friended person minds? in all likelihood, they'll never know. i've found my name on tons of lists of people i don't even know existed. and what is the offended part going to do even if they ARE offended? go kill them? through there phoneline maybe? silliness.

UPDATE: yeah, changed my mind. decided i wasn't fond enough of the Tsubasa paper to submit it. it is in photobucket though, right here. and click here for my Death wallpaper, ala Sandman. thumbnail!

::strongbad impression again:: it's over!

four-eyed, blue-winged, symbols of god's knowledge and fury = fat babies with ineffectual wings
angelology is interesting. been talking to a catholic friend and asked her about cherubs. she went and looked it up, and tells me they're "pictured as four-eyed, blue-winged, and presenting a book, representative of their great knowledge." and they went from that, to fat babies with tiny wings. what has history done to the cherubim, i ask you.

   i remembered what i originally wanted to post about! yay me!
so yeah. guess what folks? there is a video game that alison is good at. oh my freakin gawd. you've heard me say how mario kicks my bum sideways to next week for pete's sake. but i kick some serious bum when a friend stuck me in Soul Calibur II. soooo awesome. Kilik is the shizz, as he reminds me of the Monkey King of chinese mythology for some wierd reason. probably the bo. but yay for me! am also apparently very interesting to listen to as i play. i scream at the tv. i scream insults. mostly calling it a skank and telling it to 'yeah, bitch! take it! take it like the bitch you are!!' O____O i scared my friends with this one. and they have said this to me pretty much everyday this week, and we played friday. whoooole new side of me coming to light i didn't even know existed with the screaming obscenities. also getting in trouble in king's room for cursing. i'm the only one that ever gets caught! =__= yeah, my biggest vice really is my mouth. especially when i'm mad. you've never heard cussing till you get me on a rant. i really do try to keep my mouth clean at work and school and on here though, as itty bitty kiddies could be reading. so stay in school and don't smoke!

and then i committed political suicide.
election came and went, if you voted i love you. if you didn't, then you're on my list (::nixon 'haroo' noise::). if i could have voted (see march b-day above--curses), i think i would have voted for Bush. ::watches as the democrats start loading their rifles of self-righteousness:: hear me out though! do i agree with everything Bush has done? hell no! i really think he's a bit of a moron. BUT i think that now we're in deep in Iraq, we can't just abandon it real quick, which is what i think Kerry would do, should public opinion breeze that way. he hasn't taken a firm enough stance for me. although i do hate Bush's social views (in fact i hate them very much), i think we need him if nothing else than for the Iraq situation. he's at least sticking through with it, despite the popular dislike, and we really need to. we (yes we. we're the ones who put the senator and representatives who voted for the war there) can't abandon it now, that would just let another Hussein happen all over again. democracy may not be a perfect government, but it's better than a military dictatorship/theocracy. meh, this probably makes no sense. does to me though, and i'm going to be skewered at my predominantly democratic school (there are 4 self-proclaimed republicans, although i consider myself bipartisan). but i'm just happy that locally the republican senator lost. he had a friggin JESUS FISH on his SIGNS!!! i found this SO insulting! can we say 'seperation of church and state'?

   hmm. stale cheez-its. NOT the best dinner...
so yeah. 'massive' uploading on all hallow's eve. and by massive i mean three pieces, in original anime. that ninja guy and the fiend are starting to become recurring characters. ... i smell a citcom!

man, i SO probably have english homework. SOOOO don't care. dangerous indifference, once again! senioritis is my bane. but here's something odd: today in the mail i got a friggin' HARD BACK BOOK from Maryland Institute College of Art. a fairly large one. they must have a load of money to be able to afford that... couldn't have anything to do with their ridiculous tuition fees or anything...
