sha-booba-boppa-beeba-boppa-jello!
to phrase my fandom in the style of people like me friend madi, i want to bear Gris Grimly's children>. saw a book of Edgar Allen Poe that he had illustrated. and it was lurve. now i will have to blow ungodly amounts of money on purchasing some of the things he's done. and on jhonen vasquez stuff. and tim burton, of course. and while i'm at it, just a whole slew of crap. now i want to go read my Amphigorey 2 again (Edward Gorey--the guy who did the opening animation for Mystery! on PBS). but first, i must purchase Jimmy Buffett for my mommy's b-day.

...in other news, i now have powerpoint. this is exciting.

take that you stupid corn.
need to go to bed. but i don't really feel like it. so there. huh. i wonder about the things that go through my mind. like right now i'm actually thinking about how great it is that i don't have to look at the keyboard to write anymore. and earlier i suddenly found myself thinking the following thought: turtle. teenage mutant ninja turtle. teenage mutant ninja poodle. teenage mutant ninjas aimed at girls. hm. my hand itches. go me. pre-calc test tomorrow. am i studying? ha. how i scoff at you and your notinos of 'study.' now i'm off to go drool over the fact that the book Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman had a t.v. miniseries in england, AND that a friend's mom owns it and has loaned it to me and that i have already ingested half of it.

also, wallpaper i submitted for Tsubasa RESERVoir Chronicle never went up. submitted it again.

Grendel is quite quotable. pointless, seemingly, but quotable. scamper on over here to see the newsest thing to terrify my existance. the American Library Association resorts to using Megatokyo of all things to boost literacy in the nation's youth. i don't like where this country's going, if that's any indication... someone point the horsemen my way, i don't particularly want to see this.

   whoopsie daisy.
submitted new wallpaper last night/morning. i have tendencies to make wallpapers in quick bursts. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle paper. buuuut i forgot about the whole 'put your username on your paper' rule. heh heeeh...
yeah, i'm on a Tsubasa and XXX-Holic kick at the moment. doodled a kurogane that i'm going to submit under original anime (they need to go ahead and make a miscellaneous section already...).

oh yeah one more thing. am really cutting down on my manga series (remember how i'm selling a lot?). am going to be continuing/keeping my Tsubasa and XXX-Holic, and then Saiyuki, Trigun, Flame of Recca, Ranma 1/2 (i won't buy anymore, i just won't sell them either), and Angelic Layer (my only complete series). am also pretty sick of inuyasha (well, everything but kouga). aah, i can hear the inuyasha fans hissing from here...

my grandmother has reputedly said the following: I don't know whether to shit or go blind, so I close one eye and fart.
yes. my grandmother. my grandmother's an odd little woman. in other news. met a cousin i didn't know existed yesterday. ::nod:: fun fun. ::sneeze:: also, the moral of today is: it's not smart to run on marble steps in shoes with no traction when one is late for work (but then finds out one isn't late for work, your clocks are all five minutes ahead of work appartently). it results in bruises. painful ones on one's feet which make walking an unpleasant experience. the end!

O_____________________+ i have been drawing beaver hell. really. chew on that bit of nonsense. in other news. studio art is going to kill me. i have five days (circa) to finish my assignment, and i'm not even a ninth of the way done. =____= i need to learn to work quicker. now i'm off to dip my thumb in ice.

He's losing his mind! ...and I'm reaping all the benefits...
bah. labor day, come and gone. worked friday, saturday, and sunday. finally got into the tech lab rotation at the museum. no, you shouldn't know what i'm talking about. but of course, as always, holiday weekend comes and what happens? i get a cold. and not just a little, 'oh poo i feel bad' cold, i mean full blown sneezing coughing 'god dammit where the crap did i put my nasal spray?! ::blow nose::' cold. owie. =__+ also, mother painted room today, so i'm sitting here blogging while i SHOULD be trying to figure out the symbolic significance of the paperweight with the coral in it from 1984. apparently, it's significant. god i wish i had cliffnotes. in other news, am selling a good bit of my manga. need to make money to pay for passport application fees. ::sigh:: my nose is raw.

and the solution to the riddle is....
a dead guy. jeez. easy-peasy. one of you got close. but no cigars. ha HA! (by the by, remember my 'riddle' from last post? as you are, i once was; as i am now, so shall you be. remember? no? sadness). aaanywho. went for a drving lesson today. with a school and everything. to summarize, i am oversteering and i nearly drove into a lake. really. we practiced at a park with ramps to unload boats (arkansas, remember? there are practically people fishing on the stinking highways). and i nearly went down one. nervewracking indeed. ::headache::

anywho. here's something my friend bri says to get me to crack up: "go harvest the corn eustace! yes master!"
