sigh futurama is delightfully quotable. didn't finish my music interpretation. hm. saw Garden State. if you can get through the first half hour or so, it's good. anywho. have a 'riddle' (actually a quote from a painting, but whatever).    beware the boredom.
for out of boredom, i actually go and count how many downloads all my wallpapers have had put together. 872, if you're curious. this number makes my soul smile a lot. and my Bebop paper's like 2 away from 200. ^_^

in other news, i have come to a conclusion. when it comes to anime and manga, i'm insanely picky. i have tons of it, but only like 8 series i'm completely ga-ga for (darn straight i used the phrase 'ga-ga'). and the others, i'm just 'eh' on. i'll look and look at the store, but find nothing i particularly want. so yes. right now, the only things i'm dying to get my hands on are Trigun Maximum v. 2 and the Outlaw Star DVD box set (oh, and a company to liscense MÄR, but i'm not getting my hopes up). everything else, i'll borrow or suffer the dub ::shrug:: i save money in the long run.

got some new books though! Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn (looks based in japanese culture, actually), Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (Neil Gaiman is a god. period), and Grendel by John Gardner. in short, all yay. now all i gotta do is to finish Feet of Clay and the Da Vinci Code. ...yeah, i'm one of those wierd people that read like 5 different books at a time. ah well!

I ROCK.
NANASHI IS UP. I AM COOL. CLICKIT! this little piece of happy was done ENTIRELY in photoshop, and done ENTIRELY with paintbrush and smudge (unlike those WIMPS with their hair brushes!). i rock.

also, a wolfwood pic. done last night when i was all 'i'm gonna draw a ninja.' aaaand then i didn't. so yeah. wolfwood!

i made forty bucks by doing a portrait of an iddy biddy kiddy of some person my mommy works with! go me! on the other hand, i had to give half of it TO my mom for the supplies to draw said portrait. <.< ... >.> still. go me!

god i want a taco. you know those new grande soft taco things at taco bell? yeah. ::drool:: also, i feel like drawing a ninja. ... scorpion ninja screams like a girl. ^_^ ::bit hyper::

   bittersweet
i think i did right. i don't really know. sucks that stuff can't be perfect. i was whining about not being able to take comm art 2 last post, right? well, i'm in. only thing is, i had to drop a class i really wanted (pottery) and stay in a class i didn't (intro to painting). and now i'm stuck wondering whether i did the right thing. maybe if i hadn't been to pottery yet, i'd be able to drop it easier, since i wouldn't know what i'd be missing. we even started our first piece, and mine was looking really great, and i was really psyched. i know it can't be perfect, but i'd sure as hell like it to be. i guess i don't take disappointment well. about the only time i've never gotten what i wanted was when i applied for a job at target. that's been pretty much it. so i guess i take not getting what i want harder than i should. i know i do, really. still. i REALLY didn't want painting, and i'm going to feel horrible telling my pottery teacher i've dropped out. that's part of the reason i didn't want to drop it i think. but in the long run, comm art will help me more than pottery, especially if i choose 2-d design as my focus in studio. pottery was a fluff class (painting was too, but painting is a harder course, and old subject matter for me), that would've been my one 'just for fun' class this year. i don't know. i know i did what i needed to do, but i still don't like it. whatever. so now i'm being whiney that i can't have everything. feel free to get pissed at me for it. i'll probably agree with you, as i'm frustrated with myself for getting this upset over it. sigh. going to memphis tomorrow too. seeing the Masters of Florence exhibit again, this time with my mom. yay. going to go read my recca again. i've also discovered i make horrible kool-aid.

   school daze
once again, back in school. started thursday. taking studio art ap, pottery, drawing 3, and painting. trying to get out of painting in order to take commercial art 2. you remember, last year i would raaave about commercial art? yeah, they didn't let me have the second level of it. bastards. so yes. nap time.

new wallpaper
new wallpaper submitted. i think. i kinda hit the stop button before it finished loading the confirmation page after i noticed the new rule that you HAVE to sign your wallpapers now. kind of annoying, really. i always thought those huge 'by me!' signature things were garish but i can see why they'd want them (and they're soooo hard to erase with photoshop. really). ah well. i'll go slap a signature on it, submit it under same name, and see what happens. ah well. newest paper features Mikagami of FoR. this guy is the series' resident 'grr, i'm grouchy and cold but oh so pretty' character.
