   oh ho ho!
ooooh man! i forgot to tell you! those of you that don't scour for animation like me, but Cartoon Network is showing the 1978 animation of The Hobbit!!! i grew up watching an old bootleg of that at my grandma's!!! i am soooo happy to see this thing again.

you guys have seen the tokyopop commercials, right? i'm not going nuts, right? i'm not! i can't decide whether or not i like that manga is getting so huge stateside. i guess it's a good thing, increase in demand will increase number of titles. hmm. i think i'm going to go mutter on the fact the u.s. release of the FoR manga keeps calling Mikagami by his first name, Tokiya. makes him seem waaay to familiar with the other characters. guuh, probably shouldn't let it bug me. ... nope, still does. they drop Yanagi's -kun for Recca too. it's more important than you'd think, otherwise it wouldn't really bug me.

tube tops are the creation of evil.
took senior photos today. yeah, senior photos end of junior year, kind of odd. more importantly, when they did the drape photo (y'know, for girls, they put this drape thing on you to look like a dress or something), THEY MADE ME WEAR A TUBE TOP. O_o. i'm not a tube top person. and then there was the casual photo, that was fun. because, i go around leaning on ladders casually ALL the time, doesn't everyone? meh. i really need to get my act's and sat's done (i'm behind the game, i know), though. poo.

oh yeah. MUST SEE TROY!!! it looks soooooooooo cool!

foot... asleep... can't... focus...
having soooo much fun, playing with the art from v. 33 of FoR in photoshop. prepare for some spoiler-rific wallpapers! bwa ha ha! at least for the manga. anime people (what few english-speaking ones there are) don't have to worry, the end is COMPLETELY different in the anime from the manga. in that the manga continues past Ura Butou Satsujin. and the last arc would make SUCH a cool anime. i would buy it in a heartbeat. ahkay, my done. i'm going to go study art history. and by that i mean play in photoshop some more. i don't know what i'm going to do for 6 weeks at governor's school with no photoshop. read a lot, i guess.

O_O that's more than a little terrifying. not the fact i'll graduate next year, but going to college the fall after. just... fwaa.

hmm.
you know, in animation, there is an actual position devoted to checking the shape of the mouth in speech and making sure the timing of the dialogue is right. called dialogue checker i think, or something. whoever did it in the king and i or whatever it's called didn't seem to be doing there job very well. course from what i can tell, the animation jerks a bit, so the budget was probably tiny. and it's hard to animate singing, i'll bet, from the way the mouth contorts and all. but there are some useless bits in it. like the grand vizier. it's a good story w/o the stupid discernable villian, and one that kids could appreciate. poor rodgers and hammerstein, they'd be rolling over in their graves to see something that cliched in their musical. so far, i'm annoyed.

   oh yeah!
on a lighter note, i FINALLY got my disc back from my bud, so i get to start some new FoR bg's! i have all my back cover images, AAAND my final cover image w/o the text! hoo-hah! i know most don't care, but it makes me relax to be clicking away in photoshop (or at least stop twitching in agonizing anticipation of ap exam tommorrow. which will kill me. kill me dead. very dead X_x. well, there went my lack of twitching =_=).

ap u.s. history exams tomorrow morning. death. is. emminent (imminent? i don't give a flying rat's --butt.). they'll ask about the world wars. i know they will. they'll be a dbq. why? area i'm weak on. i've buffed my settlement-reconstruction as much as i can. i'm okay for vietnam, roaring 20's, gilded age, and i think depression. anything more recent, and i'm shot. i am so dead. =___________=
