actually, i don't really have a point. but i do NOW. (rejoice!)
i'm just posting for the sake of it mostly. i was reading over some of my older posts, and you know, i think that you can tell what sort of state of mind i'm in by my posts. like the last one i was REALLY tired so... yeah, it was pretty random. and i really did have something to say here, and i completely forgot it. i was going to post, then thought 'i want juice.' so i went to the kitchen, found Nesquik chocolate milk of all things, and ended up drinking that. tastes kinda like coconut too. meh.
...
well, 5 minutes later and i remembered what i was going to post on. Sandman. y'know, DC comics released it from mid- to late-80's to like 96? Neil Gaiman scripted it? yeah. Sandman's cool. i like Sandman. ironically, i've never actually read the comic. i've read The Dream Hunters illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano (soooo pretty), liked the story a LOT and got Sandman: King of Dreams for x-mas, and thoroughly enjoyed that. i think i'll actually buy The Kindly Ones and The Wake. the thing i have w/a lot of American comics is that they all look the same, which could be said for manga too, but then i tend to buy a pretty big variation of it. plus i never liked the colorist on Sandman. i've looked at it before, and i looked at the color job, and just said 'eeeew.' dunno why. it's really flat, i guess is my problem.

yeah yeah
just ignore my blatant whining down there. yeah. and this fic (if you do the fanfic thing), Spring Snow is SO FREAKING AWESOME. it's inuyasha, centering on Sesshoumaru and Rin's relationship. one-shot. i mean, so freaking good. seems pro.

oh. i am so shocked?
it's kind of disappointing how anal some anime fans can be. you know the ones. the ones that scream their heads off at the term 'japanimation,' and don't believe in stylization. you know the ones. i for one think they're annoying. oh SOOOO annoying. i mean, get OVER the fact that not everyone is going to like anime as much as you do! so WHAT?! big freaking deal! get over it already! actually, the reason i'm saying this is because i'm disappointed in the ratings my last two inuyasha pics got, so it's just me being annoying myself but i'm going to be anyway. i mean, seriously. i really like those pics. i'm not surprised with the ratings. well, for sesshie i'm not but inuyasha i thought would get at least mid 60's. the images are REALLY rough, and plus they're stylized. course, i've seen a lot of stylized things get good ratings too so maybe it's just me. probably. that's my one problem w/myotaku. it doesn't really work well for feedback. i mean, wouldn't you like to know WHY things you were really fond of got bad ratings, so you could see what you needed to work on? ah well. whatever.

alright.
this is something that happened yesterday at work that i would have posted had i not been so mad that i knew i'd cuss like a sailor. so i waited til i cooled down so here we go.
i work in a children's museum, mostly volunteer work. so me, the two other girls there (amber and ashley, a newbie) were going to lunch, so we swung by tech lab where ed was working to see if he wanted to come or for us to get him something. let's speed up a bit and skip to when we're all sitting down in the lounge (we'd gotten ed food and he'd come down to eat it really fast and had just closed tech lab and shut off the lights) and kelly (supervisor sorta) comes in and asks ed if he locked the door. he says no, why? the answer is some little bastards had gone in the CLOSED tech lab and torn it apart. it's a building thing, right, so we have all these k'nex and lego things and what not. or at least we had. they destroyed the k'nex space station thing (a moving one), the k'nex ferris wheel (also a moving one), a ball machine, knocked down the k'nex roller coaster (the only one we were able to fix. they couldn't do much to it since it was nailed to a board), and torn up a k'nex windmill. these things were HUGE and had hours of work put into them. now they're all gone. we know who did it, some kids from some youth center or something, and apparently no senses of human decency. the worst thing was, amber (one of the sweetest people i know. i mean, if you've seen fruits basket, think someone like tohru), amber was blaming herself for it b/c the guys who we found out did it had been trying to flirt w/her, and she just ignored them (good move on her part as far as i'm concerned). so yeah. just REALLY pissed off about that. (apparently, i looked it, too. i took amber to the kitchen so should could wash her face and get something to drink, but forgot my purse outside tech lab (which had been locked at that point), and as i was going back i passed ricky (the janitor) who commented that i looked ready to go after them for it. huh.
