   oh MONKEY
it's sooo cold! let's explain something first: i'm a wimp when it comes to cold. pure and simple. if it drops below 55 F i whine my head off. oft before then too.

anywhooo... the dragon didn't go up! poop, i'll resubmit it. well, at least nightcrawler did go up! also did a b-day pic for a friend at school which i may post (fellow Kouga fan-girl! squee!)

doo doo doo
for those of you that have been following flava's ultimate anime battle, my fave character's time is up. that's right, it's Recca! XD! but, let's be honest. he's gonna die. he's going against Faye Valentine. almost no one actually knows who Recca is, and EVERYONE loves Bebop. this saddens me. but he has gotten a few votes which pleases me.

oh yeah. i was actually doing this post so you'd know i'm uploading a couple of new pics. something i found from last summer i did right after seeing X-Men 2 (squeal! i need to go buy that) and then the pencil work on a dragon for articflames43. the wings are kind of awkward but the thing is a new design that i'm pretty happy with. ^____^

umm... that's it.

i'd really like to cry now
i'm watching kenshin at the moment. and the animation quality really makes me want to cry. i can't wait till that huge style change pops up (around the train episode). until then though, the anime doesn't do the story justice. that's right, peeps. i'm in this whole thing for the aesthetic qualities. sad thing is they're often lacking in mass production.

hey... i lost my yo-yo! ::cries::

CRAP CRAP CRAP
i just realized that i have to meet all my father's family this december. i'm going to his family reunion in texas. uuuuugh. they're all rich and snooty (really. my cousin clay won't have to work a day in his life since he sold his green house). i also have to be around my stepmother, Bridget, the epitomy of the evil stepmother stereotype. i also have to be around my father, and i can't decide which is worse. i really REALLY don't want to go.

i'm proud of me!
*remember that flcl thing my sister wanted me to do i was venting about the other day? basically told her that it was plagiarism, and that i wasn't doing it! in short, i told her to shove it! ha ha! i feel better though! ^______^ basking in the joy that is Trigun manga. glee-ee!
*also had actual interaction with a little iddy-bitty kiddy today at work. i had to watch an 8-month-old baby named Heaven (what kind of name is that, really? ah well, s'not up to me to judge i guess). apparently, i looked terrified, though. of course, i WAS but that's beside the point.
*(in other news, i just smacked myself in the face with a yo-yo. but i shouldn't have told you that!)
*::watching credits for pokemon 2000 (shaddup):: OMIGAWD?! al yankovic did a song for the u.s. one?! WIERD al yankovic? apparently, as i just saw his name on the credits...

why you ask? cause instead of reading the Trigun GN i just bought, i'm doing the otaku thing. don't contain your joy, now! (sarcasm is healthy AND fun)

so. just saw Master and Commander of the Far Side of the World. that thing ROCKED OUT LOUD. it was oh-mah-freakin-gawd AWESOME. in short, i liked it. i had to keep myself from beating the crap outta the lady next to me who wouldn't shut her freaking face though... (::starts in nasal annoying voice that sounds nothing like woman:: 'it's too easy, that's not right, it's too easy, it's not supposed to work like that!' DUH woman! ever hear of suspense?! jeebus!)

but you know what none of you better let me catch you doing? sitting in the book store reading the manga and never buying a one. you like it so much, SUPPORT THE FREAKING INDUSTRY SO WE CAN GET MORE! the artists and authors and editors and translators and all worked (beaver) dam hard to get that thing on the shelf and you don't have the RESPECT for them to buy one freaking book! raaarrrrgh!

ah whatever. got Trigun and saw Master and Commander. GO SEE IT NOW!

(yeah, posting frenzy. anywho.)
something wierd i noticed about the anime and manga i like. i like almost NO shoujo. near none at all. Fruits Basket, Magic Knight Rayearth (in modration), and Dragon Knights; and as for the last one i'm never quite sure what it is. but... all my other female friends that do the anime thing like tons of shoujo... but it always just kinda bugs me, mostly. bah.

   blargh.
so. my sister comes up to me yesterday and says, 'hey chicki, whacha up to?' (yeah, my sister calls me chicki) i shrug and show her the vash i did for celeste that finally went up, and she goes 'ooo' as she really likes vash. i proceed to complain about the piece's faults and psp 7 as that's just what i do when it comes to my drawing talent (in that i think i have none and am a hack). she sees the conte i did from flcl and says, 'hey, will you draw and color me a conte? i'll pay you.' she offers 2 dollars. to draw straight from the manga. now, this is something i hate to do. feels like plagarism, you know? so i tell her it ain't enough, hoping she'll give up on it. she doesn't, and now i'm doing a series of 5 drawings from the manga, 2 of which i can just directly scan and color, the other 3 have to be redrawn and colored. for about 2-5 dollars each. so i'm making about 20 bucks. still hate it though. grarrgh. whatever. i'm going to go cough up a lung now, whee. i think i'll delete this post later. b/c i don't like whiners and that's what i'm doing.
