   heh, i am such a liar.
man. i promised to post some FoR fanart or SOMETHING last weekend. but... i didn't. ::sigh:: but in other news, i found out that the new Star Wars animated miniseries or whatever is being directed by Genndy Tartakovsky. i really like him! and i get to do another culture report for english, so i have an excuse to try and find a copy of The Seven Samurai! and i think i might scan and post something i'm thinking about redoing and coloring for a portfolio peace. (oh and i forgot this, but in the early manga for FoR, Mikagami is UGLY. you can tell he's supposed to be bishie, buuut he's just ugly. he gets better! just not at first).

yeah, i just spent all my moneys on manga happiness. bought One Piece v. 1 and Flame of Recca v. 2. ^^ oh! interesting tidbit: ever seen the movie "Comic Book Villians" or some such? it's about comic book geeks, centering on these 2 comic shop rivals and them trying to get this one great collection... it sounds like a comedy, and it seems like one sort of, but it's a litte macabre at times too. anywho, there's a poster for One Piece in the background in the beginning!!! that's the first place i saw it! it made me happy.

setsuna
heheeh, i just found out that Sailor Pluto's original name is Setsuna! why do i find this entertaining, you ask? another FoR parallel. there's this REALLY crazy guy named Setsuna in it. i mean he's NUTS. it's the bad kinda crazy! scary crazy! maybe just maybe i'll figure out how to post pics on this and show you Setsuna FoR style but i doubt it.

i have officially finished the Flame of Recca manga. i'm happy! but i'm sad too cuz there won't be anymore... on to the merchandise, of which there isn't much, a couple shitajikis, 2 soundtracks and then the books; but i think MAR will probably get a lot, i saw a phone card for it on Ebay a few weeks back. isn't that depressing? scouting ebay for things i can't buy.

oh yeah! a friend of mine is supposedly getting an account tonite (she said she was!) and if she doesn't i shall smite her. ::glares at friend::

i do believe i may redo that Domon pic. (by-the-by, i just finished v. 21 (i think it's the one i'm thinking of) of Recca, and i lied. Domon isn't underappreciated. he's a perv. eeeew!

haha, none of you know what i'm talking about. i feel powerful! but i have to clean to kitchen. maybe i'm not all that powerful. ::sigh::

oh yeah!
heh, this is just on observation on akira toriyama's (DBZ, SandLand) manga-style but... does anyone else think that he has some sort of affinity for large panels? i was flipping through old and new shonen jumps and i just noticed it... or i thought i did and i could just be making things up. ::shrug:: hehe, i rather like piccolo though, he's probably the only character out of all his stuff i actually like. (after Cell (really after Frieza, but i'll be generous), i kept thinking 'let DBZ die already! it's obvious toriyama wants to!')

hmm. heheh.
huh. just got Shonen Jump (Nov). Hikaru No Go looks nifty (soooo pretty! this thing will SO lower my self-confidence). bit off beat, but then again i wouldn't be me if i didn't enjoy that sorta thing. besides, who wouldn't want to play go? but that story in Naruto near made me burst into tears. happier ending in Shaman King balanced it pretty well though.
