haha i just found out that one of my favorite manga artists (Nobuyuki Anzai of Flame of Recca fame) is starting out a new manga called MAR. not that any of you probably know what i'm talking about but whatever. (oh yeah, to check out a little bit about FoR check snoopycool.com ... DO IT NOW. (please note my intimidating glower)). i'm working on some FoR fanart for you too, as i always talk aobut it so yeah.

i'm in a state of withdrawal. aaah...
oh god...i can't find my Flame of Recca anime...i'm going to go cry... actually, i'm going to go ransack my room, then my sister's room. then if i still can't find them, go crawl into a little corner and sob my eyes out.

yeah, not really (ransacking yes, sobbing uncontrollably no), but i'm sad!

UPDATE: heheh, i found them...here's the story as i'm bored: i was in the middle of tearing apart the house in search when my sister gets home and asks me what i'm doing. i reply i'm looking for my Flame of Recca anime. she then says "Oh! I've got it, why, do you need it?" ... here i proceed to have bad, violent thoughts that are not nice.

   irony is grand.
it's really wonderful how many anime fans absolutely hate Disney. not the Disney hating (Brother Bear looks AWESOME), but the irony behind the fact in that Disney was a big influence on the first mangas (y'know...Astro Boy and Ozama Tezuka just after WWII, he pulled a lot of influence from Disney...). so yeah. haha!

   outlaw star? squee!!!
no one told me Outlaw Star had a section!!! i LOVED that show! i must scamper off to do Outlaw fanart! Kouga too, he's under-represented, like Sano. ...and Flame of Recca (okay! i won't mention it again...today).

   know what?
know what? i would like to know how many of you have heard of Flame of Recca. i know 3 people. the person who introduced me to it, and the person i introduced it to. it is so wonderful and makes me sad no one knows it. it's by Nobuyuki Anzai, and was recently picked up by Viz (July?). i found out about it a year or 2 ago. (and on a sidenote, Sanosuke is poorly represented for being such a favored character of RK).

   observation
not very many people like that wolfwood i don't think...ah well! the style is a required taste and be glaaad i didn't do him in a CLAMP style. i'm not THAT evil. don't get me wrong, i LIKE old CLAMP in moderation and LOVE their more recent stuff (Chobits, Angelic Layer), but the old style w/the catty eyes is just kinda nerve-wracking. anywho-observations. people like the drawing more when it's closer to it's original style. strange but true. i do the same thing a lot of the time.
