and then i committed political suicide.
election came and went, if you voted i love you. if you didn't, then you're on my list (::nixon 'haroo' noise::). if i could have voted (see march b-day above--curses), i think i would have voted for Bush. ::watches as the democrats start loading their rifles of self-righteousness:: hear me out though! do i agree with everything Bush has done? hell no! i really think he's a bit of a moron. BUT i think that now we're in deep in Iraq, we can't just abandon it real quick, which is what i think Kerry would do, should public opinion breeze that way. he hasn't taken a firm enough stance for me. although i do hate Bush's social views (in fact i hate them very much), i think we need him if nothing else than for the Iraq situation. he's at least sticking through with it, despite the popular dislike, and we really need to. we (yes we. we're the ones who put the senator and representatives who voted for the war there) can't abandon it now, that would just let another Hussein happen all over again. democracy may not be a perfect government, but it's better than a military dictatorship/theocracy. meh, this probably makes no sense. does to me though, and i'm going to be skewered at my predominantly democratic school (there are 4 self-proclaimed republicans, although i consider myself bipartisan). but i'm just happy that locally the republican senator lost. he had a friggin JESUS FISH on his SIGNS!!! i found this SO insulting! can we say 'seperation of church and state'?
