winter storms a'brewin!
inclement weather apparently makes people talkative. i'm at my mom's office now (b/c i got sent home from work due to weather and i had to walk up here. in the sleet. i'm a bit pissed she made me walk, b/c she's at her office christmas party. so much more important than my safety. not that i'm bitter, or anything.) two people on the elevator randomly talked to me on the way up to her floor. one a delivery guy telling me through a nearly unintelligible southern accent how it looked like the next 6 hours looked quite bad and i should try to get home a.s.a.p. (which i'm hoping will happen soon, as i told him) and the other a woman telling me how it seemed a bit off kilter how she was the only one trying to get in while everyone was trying to get out. i smiled and laughed a bit, then looked at her and told her desolately that my socks were wet. then i got off the elevator.

i hate winter. i'm moving to australia so i can have warm x-mas's.
