A NEW STORY!!!!!!
Haley woke up to the sound of a door slamming shut. She groaned, hearing her freedom being pulled away from her with the sound of a key turning in the lock. She pushed herself up off the stone floor, trying to see in the feeble light. She was alone in a stone cell, with no windows, or any other features except the heavy metal door in front of her. She swore loudly, heaving herself off her chest and into a sitting position against the wall. She had a blinding headache, and she soon found out why. She put a hand to her head, and felt a massive lump underneath clumps of blood caked into her hair. So, they had hit her from behind. That was low, even for a demon. Apart from a few superficial cuts and bruises, she had no other injuries, except perhaps for her wounded pride. She hated demons, and now they had locked her up.
It was that time of the month again. The full moon, when demons started to breed. She had been in the midst of a particularly nasty brawl between her own people and a group of rowdy vampires when she had been attacked. What they wanted with her she had no idea. Vampires were perhaps the type of demon LEAST likely to take prisoners. They either made you into one of their own or sucked you dry. Anything else was unheard of.
Just as she was contemplating what they could possibly want from her, she heard footsteps in the corridor outside, and soon afterwards the clanging of a key in the lock of her door. It swung open with a screech of old hinges. Three people walked into the room, two men and a woman. At least, that’s what they SEEMED to be. But Haley knew better. She recognised the curled fingers and black eyes of one of the men, classic warning signs of an untransformed werewolf. The other two were clearly vampires, from their pale skin and pointed fangs.
As with all werewolves, this one seemed to have too much hair than was normal in human form, and retained an obvious hunger for living flesh. Vampires were always more discreet about their lust for blood, and these two were no different. They seemed to have a dark beauty about them, which Haley always found fascinating in spite of herself. She refused to show them any weakness, and gathered enough strength to stand before her captors, even though the effort made her head spin.
The woman smirked. “She’s a strong one.” Haley would have flinched if she weren’t so determined. The voice was calm and eerie, like oiled glass. It reminded her forcibly of a snake. The other vampire nodded in response. “ And pretty, too. I do hate sinking me teeth into an ugly girl.” Haley couldn’t help allowing a hollow laugh to escape her lips. They turned their liquid eyes on her, curious as to her reaction. Haley shook her head slightly. “Forgive me, I just find it funny that whether you’re boys, men or vampires, you’re still as shallow as my little sister’s paddling pool.”
He smiled, revealing his flawless pointed teeth. “And amusing too.” She shook her head again, more out of disgust than amusement this time. She turned to the werewolf, attempting to be braver than she actually was. “What about you Sparky? You gonna say something or are you gonna let your dog-walkers to do all the talking?” It was a stupid thing to say and she knew it, because there was nothing a werewolf hated more then being referred to as a domesticated animal. But the insult had its purpose.
The man snarled, the vicious sound out of place escaping human lips. The girl vampire placed a hand on his shoulder, soothing him. “Not yet.” She whispered, gentle but firm all the same. This proved her point. They wanted her for something, and it wasn’t just to feast on her flesh.
