poem
here is a poem I wrote last night while listening to the Carol of the Bells as played my the TransSyberian Symphony?Orchestra. enjoy.
The Wolf Cub
Snow falls gently to the ground.
Starlight glints on the flakes.
The whisper of the wind is the only sound.
A wolf cub silently wakes.
He shivers in the relentless cold.
About him he looks with fear.
The memory of warmth is faded and old.
The pang of hunger is strong and near.
He remembers seeing his mother leave
And his father follow close behind.
Quiet his father told him to keep
And maybe soon they’d dine.
That had been a week ago,
And now the pup howled.
He wondered if some strange foe
Close to him now prowled.
Stumbling, he wanders off
Into the snowy night.
He hears a ragged cough
And sees a strange sight.
Two odd lumps are on the ground.
They slowly stir and moan.
His lost parents he has found
But almost too cold they’ve grown.
He whines and pushes at his dad
And worries at his mom.
But he has no cause to be sad,
For while they’d been gone,
They found some food to eat
And had brought it back to the pup.
Death that night they did not meet,
And now on food they’d sup.
The family is now united
And continue on their way.
Never again will they be slighted
Of food on a wintry day.

*SIGH*
I'm not having a good day. I'm really tired from all-region. I had to record 14 scales for band. I had to search through a ton of papers for one last allusion for a project. then I couldn't find tape. then I knew I had a plastic folder thingy, but the plastic thing you put on the side to keep the stuff in it from falling out was missing and I spilled a ton of tiny beads in my carpet. and now I have to go sing at church and I really don't feel lke it cause I'm so tired. gaah.

oro??
hmm........not much to say. we jsut got our Christmas tree, its 13 days untill my 14th birthday, its my friends 14th birthday today, along with it being Undead Bovine day. (take the roleplaying stereotype quiz that is in my quiz results to get it) and I'm bored. oh, yeah. I got second chair, first band in our All-Region tryouts. I play flute. and there were like 140 ppl trying out. so that's really good. I'll just put up another story now. (a different one than my previous posts)
Ch. 1
Reinon walked along a deserted beach. Wave crashed into the shore, creating a backdrop of lonely sound. Gulls cried they’re melancholy song to the trees that rustled in a strong wind. The wind whipped Reinon’s long brown hair around her shoulders. She was alone. Completely alone. She didn't have a home anymore. Her family was gone. She did not know what had happened to them. Signs of a fight showed around her empty house. Tears filled her eyes. She could not believe that her mother, father, and little sister were dead. Yet, what could she do if they were alive? She could not fight, she didn’t know who had taken them, or even where they were going. Reinon sat down on a piece of driftwood and began weeping.
"What's wrong?" a voice said. Reinon looked up. A young man was staring inquiringly at her. He looked to be about 18 years old. A quiver full of arrows hung on his shoulder. Piercing gray eyes stared into her green ones. A longbow was in his callused hand. Black hair swirled around a warrior's face in the wind. Reinon gulped. She had heard stories about roaming bands of outcasts who used to be the crack troops of Derka, the capital of Tyril. They had been exiled when they refused to attack a village thought to hide a fugitive. The company of fighters had split into different groups of varying sizes. They roamed the country, sometimes killing government officials when they saw them.
"I won't hurt you, if that's what you're thinking," the man said. "My name is Korihor. Most people call me Kor, though. What is your name?"
Reinon chewed her lip, then said timidly, "Reinon Y'Lond."
Kor looked puzzled. "Isn't Y'Lond the name of the owner of these woods?" he asked.
"Yes," Reinon answered. "I'm his oldest daughter."
Kor asked, "Then why are you out here all alone?"
Reinon began to cry again. "I don't know where my family is," she sobbed. "I saw signs of an attack at my house. No one was there."
Kor looked surprised. "Someone attacked your house?" he said incredulously. Reinon nodded, unable to speak. "Come with me, Reinon," he said. "I can get you some help." Reinon fought to regain her composure, and stood up. Kor led her westward up the beach toward a forest.
"By the way," Reinon said shyly, "just call me Rei." Kor nodded. They walked in silence for a while. Then Rei asked, "Where are you taking me?"
Kor answered, "To my friends. We are part of the company that was exiled." Rei quickly stifled her gasp of fear. "We won't hurt you," Kor said. "We only kill corrupted government officials."
Rei was still nervous. Kor might not hurt her, but his friends might attack her when they heard her name. Kor probably couldn't hold off a lot of people at once. Her thoughts were cut off as they walked into a campsite. A fire crackled in the middle of a clearing. No smoke rose from it. A group of about twenty-odd people was seated around it. They looked up, startled. "Who is this, Kor?" one of the men asked.
"This is Reinon Y'Lond," Kor said. "Her family was attacked, and she doesn't know what happened to them."
"Y'Lond, eh." the man said. "The family that owns this woods?"
"Yes!" Rei said defiantly and only a little shakily.
"A good, honest family that is fair to everyone," the man continued. "Not one of the families we target, girl. You're safe here with us." Rei sighed in relief.
“Do you have any idea who attacked them?” a hard looking woman asked. “No, I don’t,” Rei said, more steadily. “Too bad,” the first man said. “There are lots of possibilities.”
so....yeah. sorry its kinda long.

story
here's more of my slowly unfolding story:
At 6:00am the next morning, Khrys woke with a start. She groaned tiredly, rolled out of bed, and shuffled, yawning, to the closet. She picked out some dark blue jeans and a red shirt, along with a denim jacket. She put on some black tennis shoes and walked back into the bedroom. Just as she was wondering where to get breakfast, the door opened and a strange robot came into the room carrying a tray. The tray held a plate with two sausage biscuits covered in gravy on it and a glass of milk. Khrys licked her lips hungrily at the smell. The robot looked at Khrys questioningly. “Um…” Khrys said uncertainly.
“Where would you like me to put the tray, ma’am?” the robot asked in a calm mechanical voice.
“Er, the table on the balcony is fine,” Khrys answered. The robot carefully walked onto the balcony and placed the tray gently on the table. “Thank you,” Khrys called after the robot as it left the room. She sat down and quickly devoured the meal. After that, she pulled her long brown hair into a ponytail and sat wondering what to do. Finally, a knock came on her door. “Come in,” she called. Trista entered. She wore black pants, a silvery shirt, and black leather boots. Her hair was still in its long braid.
“What on Earth are you wearing?” she asked incredulously. Khrys blushed slightly.
“They’re called jeans…” she said.
“I suppose this is what people on your planet wear,” Trista said doubtfully. Khrys nodded for an answer. “Very well. Follow me,” Trista commanded
ideas, comments, critique, and the like are welcomed.

hmm......
I just got bakc from a church choir thingy. I s'ppose you could call it fun...oh yeah, much thanks to Jessi/Gai/Sweetthing16 for drawing an awesome pic for me!! I asked for an anime girl that was custom made to fit my personality. I think she got it pretty well. She said she just looked at me and drew what came to mind. T'was a girl with long hair that she described as dark silver....which is an oxymoron in my opinion, but whatever. She was wearing a tank top, but not speghetti strapped. and she was wearing pants. and holding a wrench and an open book. When I asked what the wrench was for, she said that because I seem to like robots (I LOVE Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, which has robots) she made me an apprentice mechanic/egineer for robots. And I made the codition that I worked with either fighting or racing robots, not like household workers. *cheers* wow, that was long....:D ☼_☼ §_§ ô_ô σ_σ heehee, funky faces!

you know those quizes that tell you your elemant/personality and that type stuff? well, I get all sorts of things. I'm like a mix of fire, ice, water, earth, light, and shadow. My personality has lots of opposites in it....I guess I'm just wierd that way...and I can't decide which one I like more....

cleaning
meh, I'm taking a break from cleaning my room....I hate cleaning!! and my room was kinda messy....and my closet was REALLY messy. anyways, I'll post another one of my poems. btw, these are old poems. I'm not just writing a new one every time I post one...
The Sea
Blue-green eyes stare at the sea.
The sea that put grief into the eyes.
The sea that also gave joy to the same.
Dark, calloused hands reach for the sea.
The sea that stained the hands with tears.
The sea that the hands played songs for.
Unshod feet splash in the sea.
The sea that caused the feet to kick in anguish.
The sea that the feet danced for.
A woman’s heart longs for the sea.
The sea that took her love.
The sea that gave her hope again.
I wrote this one listening to this nature-sound CD I got from my Grandma for Christmas. it sounded like the ocean and was kinda sad sounding, and this poem was born!
