   Snowfields
Something terrible happened here two or three hundred years ago, resulting in devastating wars that ravaged the planet. Old battlefields and abandoned weaponry now litter the terrain. The planet has also entered an ice age, so snow blankets the land. You can see a good example of this in Episode 4, when Kiba and the others are attacked by an unmanned while traveling through the snow. Since one dome city is as bleak as the next, there's little reason for people to travel from one place to another, which only adds to the desolation and economic decay of the outer enviornments.
