Awesome New Years Day
I had an awesome New Years Eve... until I decided to go to bed. I opened my door and to my suprize, my kitten never met me or tried to escape from my room. I looked around my room for him. I finally went upstairs and asked my parents if they had seen my little Kyo-chan. That one question led to a full investigation around my house for my Kyo-Kyo. We even looked outside because he has been known to sneek past people when they open the glass door. My mom stood outside for a minute, trying to hear Kyo's bell around his neck. She came in and told me she heard it, therefore launching a search outside until about 2:45am in the morning. We concluded that he was indeed outside, he had possibly snuck past my dad when he came home around 9:55pm. We turned in for the night, not having a bit of luck. I didn't get any sleep because every time I would doze off, I was a woken by a bell or the familiar feeling of him beside my leg, sleeping. I finally fell asleep totally about 7am. My mom opened my door at 9:46am and I looked up at her. My little Kyo-chan was in her arms. I sat up when she gave him to me and he was freezing to the touch. She told me that he was indeed outside and now he is okay and happy to see is 'Mamma'. I fell back asleep with him beside me until 3pm. I woke up and went upstairs. My mom told me that when she got up this morning that she looked outside. When she was looking out, she saw a grey and white stripped cat sitting on a window seal, trying to keep warm. She told my dad and he went to look. My mom said that my dad had called out Mr. Key-hole (the lovely nickname my dad had given him) and he looked up just enough for him to see Kyo's collar. My kitten had been outside for almost 24 hours in freezing weather. I am happy to have him home and I have made it clear that everyone is to look and make sure that when they open the door, Kyo-chan isn't around to run out. Also, they are to keep looking down until they are outside or inside and the door is closed. I have also been making sure that Kyo-Kyo is in my room when my dad comes home or when I know that someone is going to open the door. Sneeky kitty!!! But he is my little Kyo-chan
