Yatta yatta, same rules as last one.
Chapter 1; Our First Encounter

The night air is cool and calming, yet sad and chaotic, Sariyu is breathing deeply over the dead maiden. “I killed her, but her army still stands,” he looks all around him as the army slowly moves in towards him. He removes his sword from the body and tries to hack away at them, regretting every blow he makes, “Forgive me my ancestors, I do not wish to die at your hands.”
A laugh comes our of nowhere, “wha- I thought I killed her!” he turns to the body, “her body still lays there, but who-“
The laugh continues, “Why you man, you can’t possible hope to kill me, can you?” the body still doesn’t move, but it seems to be dissolving slowly. Sariyu stands at looks on in horror, as the real maiden stands behind him.
He turns around and slashes wildly at her, “You can’t escape forever!” She dodges every swing and laughs ever more, “silly man! With every swing of that sword you grow weaker, and as you grow weaker, you become more vulnerable to me.”
“If you’re so tough,” he takes deep breaths, “then why am I not dead?!” he thrusts his sword forward and grazes her trench coat.
She glares at him, “because,” he kicks his sword away from him and slices him in the chest with a nearby sword, “I have no reason to!” she leaves a wound, but not one that will cost him his life. He falls to his knees as her army returns to the ground and she fades off, leaving one simple message, “if you want to live, I suggest staying away from me, I have no reason to kill you, but if you continue to annoy me I will kill you………” she vanishes.
He gasps for breath, “grandfather…” he cannot finish his sentence and he is our cold in a matter of seconds.

The elder, Sariyu’s grandfather, is sitting by Sariyu’s bedside, changing both their bandages, he notices Sariyu start to wake up, “Ah, Sariyu, you’re awake, see this wound on your chest? Do you remember what happened?”
“Gran- Grandfather…?” he tries to get up, but falls back down in pain, “what… what was that…?” he groans and clenches his fists a the pain.
“You were struck down in battle, not against what, but against whom. I have no clue to her name, and I suggest not moving or your wounds will reopen.”
“I don’t care about my wounds, I need to fight her again!” Sariyu tries to get up, but his grandfather stops him, “Grandfather!”
“You need your rest lad, I applied secret remedies to your wounds, and until they have a chance to work, you will stay here.” He gets up and leaves from the room, locking the door behind him.
Sariyu falls asleep again and wakes up at noon the next day…

The crisp air does wonders for Sariyu’s wounds as he walks through the town market, “let’s see… eggs, butter, salt, and… carrots…? Never seen carrots on granddad’s shopping list, no matter,” he looks around and a painter catches his eye, “You there! Hey!” he runs up to her.
The painter smiles, “yes, what can I do for you?”
Sariyu gets overly excited, “yes, yes, I need a painting, of a young maiden, about my age, I’m not sure if you saw her, but do you think you can paint her for me?!”
“Uh… yeah, sure, um, what does she look like?”
"She's a fallen angel, without wings, her eyes are empty but kind in a strange way, they're blue, like the ice. Her hair is up, and partly black, her bangs hang over her eyes, oh! The rest of her hair is a deep blue color and-"
"Wait, Wait, Wait! I can't go that fast!!!" She's frantic just to catch up with what he's saying.
Sariyu snaps out of his excitement and waits for her to finish.
"Now, what else?" she sighs and gets ready for another frantic session.
Sariyu is calmer and talks slower, "on her neck, she bears black and white demon markings, she wears a black trench coat, with a white shirt underneath, her pants are tan, but she wears black boots."
The girl finishes the painting and starts to question Sariyu, "who is this... is she...no, she's not one who raises the dead is she...?!?!"
He's surprised, but manages to nod. The girl becomes scared and starts to step back, and runs away, leaving only the painting. He puts it in his coat pocket after letting it dry, and continues the shopping, "that was strange....."

Author's notes:
i know, Sariyu's parts are pretty stupid, but hey, what story doesn't have some pointless parts?
