Why the Octopus is My New Favorite Animal
On today, I have been officaly been secretly studing the octopus for one month, and I must say, the only animals I would consider even close to it's raidience is the raven and the tiger. In summary, they are highly intelectual, adaptable, myserious, luminous, and in absolute control of themselves. They can live in any part of the oceans including the great floor. Octopi are solitary creatures and can escape from practicaly anything to acommplish their goals. For instance, there was one senario where the octopus was in a lab next to a tank of crabs or lobsters and the c/ls where disapearing one by one in the night. The lab was also starting to smell a bit. So in the night, someone stayed after hours to see what was happening. As it turned out, the octopus had been opening the lid of it's tank, cilmbing out, opening the lid of the c/ls' tank, going in, grabing a c/l, closing their lid, eating it, placing the remains in the trash can, climbing back into it's own tank, and closing the lid. This went on for a few more nights until they relocated it.
There was also another case where they put an octopus in a sharks' tank, because they though it's speed and flexiblity would protect the octopus. Well, it did more than that! Sharks were disapearing. They found out by exsesizing the previous method; it was because the octopus was eating them. Needless to say, they had to relocate it again!
