The crickets chirped at your feet as you walked on. Up ahead you noticed a small pond. The water reflected the moonlight that shone like tempered glass. You looked around anxiously, as if searching for something really important. But nothing was there. Disapointed you turned and began to walk away. But just as you were leaving there was a dense voice behind you. "Are you leaving already?" a young man with blue hair that hung down over his right eye stepped out from under the darkness of a tree. "Zexion, you made it!" you said joyfully. "What took you so long. I've been waiting for hours," he said quietly. "Sorry. I had a small delay on the way," you appoligized. "That's alright," Zexion closed his blue eyes, smiled, and walked over to a big boulder mounted on the ground. You came up beside him and sat down on the boulder. "It's a gorgeous night, huh?" you asked out of nowhere. "Yeah," Zexion said. He wasn't the kind of guy who was talkative;he mostly kept to himself. You wanted to help him crawl out of his isolating shell. It was one of your most important goals in life. You barely ever saw him smile, and it was your job to change that. Seeing his frown always made you feel sad. For you cared for him, more than an actual friend. "The moon is really pretty tonight. And just look how many stars there are. It's all so magical," you said with a smile. "Yeah, full moons are always the best," Zexion said in a low voice. A slight breeze blew your hair. "Well, I guess I'm gonna go," you sighed and got off the boulder. "Why are you leaving this early? Normally, you'd leave in like another hour," Zexion turned and raised his eyebrows. "What's normal? Besides I don't feel that good," you closed your eyes and walked on. You felt a little sick to your stomach. "What if he doesn't smile because he doesn't like me? Maybe I should just disappear," you whispered to yourself. And standing by his lonesome, Zexion watched as you vanished into the darkness of the forest. He could tell something was wrong. "Was it something I did?" he asked himself. He jumped off the boulder and ran after you. But it didn't take him long to catch up to you, for you were walking sadly slow. Since there was a lot on your mind at the moment, you didn't hear the footsteps following you. Zexion came up from behind and grabbed your hand. "Why are you leaving just tell me that. Please," he begged. You turned around and starred at him, with the sadest eyes. You lowered you head, now staring at the dark green blades of grass. "It's just", you paused, "I never get to see you smile. It really makes me sad." That made Zexion's frown drop lower. He couldn't believe something that simple could hurt someone so much. "To tell you the truth... I've never smiled in my whole life. I don't know why, it's like something's stopping me from doing it," he said sadly. You gasped at the words that just ran through your ears. "Zexion, there's something I have to tell you. You see, ever snce I met you, I've had this crush on you for along time and..." you paused. Zexion was kissing you! Your eyes widened as this magical moment flew on. "You'll be the one to make me smile. Oh, and I almost forgot, you still owe me for that pizza I paid for the other night," Zexion teased. You smiled. Now you were sure you'd get him to smile, you now had someone to lean on. "I'll pay you back if you catch me!" you swiftly turned and began running back down the forest path. Zexion raised and eyebrow and began running after you. And for the first time in his life, Zexion felt a joy in his heart. He finally got the courage to smile.
