At the reqeust of Amerril: The death of a PS2.

that's a sad, yet informative story. See, about a month ago, I had just bought Devil May Cry 2. I go to put it in the PS2 and a horrible sound is made by it. My first thought was, "Crap, this is not a game I want to be sucked into." Then I came to my sences when the screen turned a cloudy red and the message, "Please insert a PS2 format disc." I think I felt my stomach turn to lead. I panniced. I rushed to put in game after game, to no avail.

2 weeks passed. I suddenly had another urge to play PS2. I went in, and...miracle of miracles it worked. I played Final Fantasy 9 for about 30 minutes (being my normal confident self in these games, I chose not to save at all for a while). Then, the PS2 issued a loud sorta scratchy noise, kinda like a machine trying to push a load way to heavy for it to handle. My spirits sunk, when the game suddenly stoped playing. After about an hour of moping around downstairs I got a crazy notion. "Why don't I take it apart and see if I can fix it?" So, I set to checking the warranty, just in case. The dang thing only lasts for 90 days. I got out my screwdrivers and cleaning supplies and set to work. It's actually quite interesting what a PS2 looks like on the inside.

Well, long story shortened. I cleaned the reading lense, and greased up the pistons that move it. You'd think it would work right? Nope. Gave me another 5 minutes on Disgaea and quit out on me again. Now it sits under a pile of games in my game room. I hope to replace it soon. Now, I gotta go get ready for that picture.
