   Let's hear it for spontenaety!

Sunday road trip!

We went to LeMars for lunch and then over to Walmart to buy catfood for Holler, the outside cat. We were maybe 15 feet from the car and my brother goes, "Do you want to go to Sioux Falls?" What the? Why not? So we got catfood and then went to Sioux Falls. Hit the mall and B&N up there.

At the mall, I found a book on cartooning that was originally $19 and was marked down to $4. My brother bought it for me. How nice! He got a couple anime figures for himself. They're fun 'cause you don't know who you get until you open the box. He got InuYasha to go with his Sango that he got in Kansas. The other one ended up being mine... He got another Roy Mustang! Here he is:

He's helping me do stuff on the computer tonight.

For those of you keeping track of my wanderings... Sioux Falls is in South Dakota and is about 100 miles away; Sioux City is in Iowa and is about 28 miles away.

And to answer a couple questions about the flowers yesterday: Yes, the two top ones are irises. No, the top one is not dead. It is actually that color! It matches the color of the bricks of the church building. Really pretty iris, I thought.

Well, I think I should find something constructive to do again.

   Well, blow me to Bermuda!

Satyrday comes to an end.

Well, I was almost blown away today, but not to Bermuda. The wind would have blown me to Canada!

My brother & I decided to go somewhere today and ended up in Storm Lake, Iowa. We didn't actually end up in the lake, but were dang close to it. The only problem is: We didn't have our cameras!!!! It was cold 'cause the wind was coming across the lake at us. I dressed for an 80 degree day, so was pleasantly surprised by how cold the wind was over there!

The truly cool thing was all the wind turbines we passed. In the haze, they looked so surreal. I've done some searching around on the Web and have found out that the wind farm up there is the largest one in the world! Over 250 wind turbines are around Storm Lake, Iowa! I wish I had pictures to show you guys. Maybe next time, my brother will listen when I say we should stop back at the house and grab our cameras!

Well, as I said yesterday, I'd have more flowers for you to look at. Here they are! More irises and some peonies. These are by the church next door.

With that, I bid you all a good night. Sweet dreams!

   It's Harvey the Wonder Hamster!!!!!

Oh, the heck with it.... it's Friday.

I was trying to write a haiku about the end of the day, but it just wasn't working. The creative juices dried up there....

It was rather toasty out again today. I took advantage of the sun and little wind to go take pictures of flowers around the house and church. Some of the irises are so pretty by the church. One of them is huge! I think the flower is about 8 inches across! I got some really good pictures. I will probably put them up tomorrow.

Otherwise, I didn't do much at all today. Watched TV for a while this afternoon after taking flower pictures. The picture-taking was the big excitement of the day. Woohoo!

I think I may wander off now. Kind of tired. I gotta stop sleeping until 10 o'clock!!!

   Kiss That Frog!

Thursday!

I gotta get this off my chest:

Stand back!
'said stand back!

What are those dogs doing sniffing at my feet?
They're on to something, picking up
Picking up this heat, this heat

{chorus 1:}
Give me steam
And how you feel can make it real
Real as anything you've seen
Get a life with the dreamer's dream

You know your culture from your trash
You know your plastic from your cash
When I lose sight of the track
You know the way back
But I know you

You know your stripper from your paint
You know your sinner from your saint
Whenever heaven's doors are shut
You kick them open, but
I know you

{chorus 2:}
Give me steam
And how you feel can make it real
Real as any place you've been
Get a life with the dreamer's dream

Stand back!
'said stand back!
Can't you see I've lost control? I'm getting indiscreet
You're moving in so close 'til I'm picking up
Picking up this heat, this heat

[chorus 1]

You know your green from your red
You know the quick from the dead
So much better than the rest
You think you've been blessed
But I know you

You know your leather from your snake
You know the throttle from the brake
You know your straight line from a curve
You've got a lot of nerve
But I know you

[chorus 2]

Everybody nosedive
Hold your breath, count to five
Backslap, boobytrap
Cover it up in bubblewrap
Room shake, earthquake
Find a way to stay awake
It's gonna blow, it's gonna break
This is more than I can take

Oh yeah, I need steam
Feel the steam around me
Ah you're turning up the heat
When I start to dream aloud
'til you're movin' hands and feet
Won't you step into this cloud of steam
This steam

[chorus 1]

Help me yeah
Ready to steam out the log jam
Stir crazy from the freezer to the boil
Water's bubbling, it's b..b..b..bubbling
Bubbling bubbling bubbling bubbling
Life is coming to the boil
Gimme steam, lady
Gimme the steam around me now
On a high, coming alive
'said gimme some steam!

(Steam by Peter Gabriel)

Sorry... I don't post lyrics very often, except for using a single line or maybe two as a subject line. But...sometimes I just gotta!

I've been listening to my two live Peter Gabriel albums tonight. I think I still have a crush on that man..... My goal is to own all of his albums. I'm missing only a few!

Well, I went running around with my sister today. We filled out an application at a place that does embroidery on hats and jackets. We had the lady in the office laughing. It was fun, but they're not hiring right now. *sigh* We also ended up in Cherokee and my sister filled out an application at KMart there.

After we were done with that and got back to Kingsley, my sister decided she didn't want to go home yet, so we went out to the farm of a friend of hers. I wish I'd had my camera with me! I got to hold one of the itty bitty kittens! He was very little and his eyes were still blue! Then we went out to the pasture behind the barn and saw the horses. I think there were 5 or 6 of them back there. One decided to try to eat my shirt. It was fun, though. I gotta get back out there with the camera sometime!

It was rather warm out today for a change. I like it warm & sunny, but it was almost too warm. Oh well, it isn't even summer yet! Arrrgh....

Additional: I got a nice shiny certificate in the mail today! I now can use this logo with pride:

Additional to the Additional: My apologies to anyone that saw the "remote linking not allowed" thingy. I guess I didn't realize that place doesn't allow such a thing. Oops!

CRAZY!!!! Mmm...a suitable case for treatment...

Wednesday is almost over.

Well, I did a little bit of studying today. It was hard, but I got through the chapter on Law & the Internet. Really gripping stuff....NOT!

I did that virus scan last night and nothing was found! So... I don't know what the deal is with those mysterious fonts. They're really neat looking. Oh well.

As promised, here are the pictures of the flowers. The iris pictured is already wilted! It lasted maybe two days! The lilacs didn't survive the cool, wet weather very well, so they're gone now.

The lilac bushes were planted about the same time several years ago. The white one is as tall as the roof of the kitchen. The purple one is only about 5 foot tall. The people that used to cut our lawn mowed it down right after it was planted. My mom was upset.

Well, that's all for tonight! I'm going out job hunting with my sister tomorrow. Should be interesting.

My hovercraft is full of eels....

*singing* Tuesday afternoon....

Actually, it's Tuesday night/almost Wednesday. Just needed to make a somewhat obscure reference to the Moody Blues there.

Well, I didn't get much studying done today, but I did get the papers printed out that go with the E-commerce book! Yay me!

Also, I did finally get to three of the job search sites and update my resume to include the CIW Associate certificate that I achieved earlier this month. I also changed the search parameters. Hopefully I won't be getting quite so many telemarketing job offers now. I don't want to go back on the phones!!!

I am really confused by something I discovered on this beast of a computer yesterday. I discovered a bunch of fonts that I don't recognize! They're truly cool looking fonts, though. I don't think my brother would have added them, 'cause he doesn't really know how to add fonts to the computer. I've also determined that a font has either been deleted or corrupted. My MSN Messenger window has lots of little boxes where words should be. It's frustrating. I'm gonna do a thorough virus scan after I'm done here.

Well, other than that, not much has been going on here. I did get a couple pictures of the irises that are opening up on the side of the house. They're the only flowers we have right now. I'll post them and the lilac pictures from a week ago eventually.

I actually got to sites tonight!

   Hallucinating Pluto.....

Monday, Monday...can't trust that day...

Short post for Monday.
I did not study at all.
Bad, bad Kitsune!

A book full of quotes
Leads to inspiration and
New greeting is up.

A post in haiku
Is not that easy to do.
My brain wants to sleep.

   Star Trekkin' across the Universe.....

Sunday .... I'd rather have a sundae....

I just realized it's three weeks until my birthday. So... what are y'all gonna get me? It's a milestone birthday... the Big Four-O! Yeah, I'll be forty. I'm still trying to figure out what happened to 20...

Speaking of milestones. I hit another one here on MyO. Two in one week!! I broke 2500 hits somewhere in the past 24 hours. Woohoo!!!

Today's excitement included a trip to Sioux City (again) for a free pizza from Domino's. MiasmaMoon asked about why I end up in Sioux City so much... well, it's the closest "city" to where I live. There's really not a lot to do in this town...it's got a population of about 1500 people. About all there is to do is walk around... or watch our lame cable system. At least the trip for pizza got my brother & me out of the house.

Oh...I'm about to go through withdrawals. The hockey season is over. It was a hard season with no NHL for this hockey nut, so I had to cling to the USHL and my local team, the Sioux City Musketeers. Well, they made it to the finals of the championship tournament, but fell short in the fifth game. Lost it and the championship. *sigh* Oh well, they're still my favorite team.

I suppose I should go offline and run a deep scan with Ad-aware on this thing. I was going to do it earlier in the day, but didn't. Ha!

There's new artwork, by the way.

The pizza was pepperoni.

What was I doing? Oh, yeah... time to post...

Saturday. It's Saturday, right?

My brain cell must have switched off somewhere along the line. I keep forgetting what I was doing. Maybe I'm tired or something.

Another exciting day in the life of a Kitsune. Got up around 9 this morning. Broke a glass while organizing the dishes to be washed. Didn't cut myself. Then my brother & I went to Sioux City as usual. Hung out there for a while and then ended up in LeMars for ice cream. Mmmm... mint chocolate chip.... *drools*

Then home again, home again, jiggety jog.

My brother fell asleep on the couch and snored really loud!! I was in the recliner, reading my FMA manga and being sat on by a fat cat... then I fell asleep. Such excitement.

Well...hopefully the firewall issue has been solved. My brother got McAfee's firewall for this thing and put the Norton on his laptop. We have McAfee for antivirus on this one & he's got Norton on the laptop. Things should be happy now. It was not fun having to reinstall communications, the printer, and McAfee antivirus on this thing. Something's still not working quite right as it's been freezing briefly all night.

Well... I wander off now...

   Sea monkeys have my money!!!

Friday is here for about 5 more minutes...

Well...I may have given up on the battle between Norton firewall and my computer for now. Norton really wanted to be a pain in the arse! I had to uninstall and reinstall the printer! I don't know how it got screwed up, but it did!

So, my day started out horribly. I felt like someone hit me in the head with a brick somewhere along the line as I was trying to sleep. I woke up with a nasty headache and no real desire to eat anything. The headache finally went away around 9:00 pm. I spent a good chunk of the day reading Trigun. Then in the afternoon I did some maintenance on this thing. Scandisk took about 3 hours to complete... ieuuu....

Well, I've decided what my next picture will be. Hopefully, I'll get it done in the next few days.

I got this from Ishi-chan (a/k/a joeyw23) in honor of my 1 year here at MyO:

I actually got to sites tonight!! Woohoo!!!
