Slightly bored.
Tuesday has come and gone (almost). Again, nothing out of the ordinary happened.
I tried to study in the morning, but Mom decided she wanted to work on the squares for her bag instead and asked me to help her out. Then after lunch we both did some sewing. I finally finished the patriotic rabbit doll that I was going to give her for Christmas 2003! The reason I didn't get it done in 2003: I was tired and stressed and ran out of thread and ended up crying because I couldn't get it finished then. And yes, it sat around for over a year before I worked on it again.
I think that when this song is over, I'm going to do something that doesn't involve a computer. I'm going to go and do some writing! Hikaru and Samantha are waiting for their next adventures over in that notebook. Hikaru needs to wake up first....

Yet another dull Monday has bitten the dust!
Yep. That's about it. Dull dull dull dull dull dull dull dull dull.
I unpacked a couple bags. One had some books in it; the other, videotapes. At least I can watch some South Park now.
This afternoon I helped Mom figure out some stuff for a quilt she's going to make for my sister and for a tote bag she's going to make for herself.
Then I watched TV for a while and did some counted cross stitch. Oops... I forgot to take a picture of the thing I finished last week, and it got put into a box somewhere this afternoon.
I did do a little work on my website again. I got the introduction page back to what it was before I had to dump my old ISP. Clever me saved the source code for the pages! I just have to do a lot of work to get them to what I had before. And yes, Kohaku's Cosplay will return!
I think I may wander across the hall to that soft, warm thing known as my bed. Good night!

Owwwwwwwwwww!
My ear hurts bad. It just started to hurt almost an hour ago. I hate this! It seems like I can never get rid of the ear infection or whatever it is. It's been like this for years. It hurts so bad my teeth hurt.
So, this is Sunday and I'm posting before 11:00 pm CST. I may end up going to bed early because of this. I suppose I could continue the writing I started yesterday. I've been so bad about writing for the past few weeks. I hope to have another installment on the story for you guys sometime this week.
Oh! Almost forgot. My brother and I went to see Constantine today. Really different movie. I thought it was good.
Well, I think I will see what I can see here and then go to bed.

Additional: Thanks to inuyasha311 for the code to get my music going. I tried the interesting way, and it didn't work. So I tried the easy way, and I'm assuming it worked. I haven't checked it out myself.
Now I think I'm gonna go to bed.

Saturday was dull.
I didn't do much of anything at all. I did actually do some studying in the afternoon. It's about time!
I finally got to see the movie The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise. What a good movie! I wish I could have seen it in the theater, but DVD is nice too.
I never realized how difficult it was to get music to play on my site.

I so happy! (The late Friday post!)
Even though there is no NHL, I still got to go to a hockey game! We've got the USHL in the area and I got to see my Musketeers beat Lincoln 4 to 1. Yay! *does a happy dance of joy* The game was, however, filled with several "too much testosterone" and "coincidental naughtiness" penalties. The first fight happened exactly one minute into the game. It sort of went downhill from there.
That's really the only excitement I had today.

It's the Red Sox's fault!!!
I learned something interesting while watching SportsCenter on ESPN today. The cancellation of the NHL season is the fault of the Boston Red Sox! Here we go:
The last time there was no Stanley Cup awarded was in 1919. The last time the Red Sox won the World Series was in 1919! They won the last World Series... So it's their fault!
Did a little more work on unpacking some books Thursday. Found some really interesting things: several spiral notebooks half-filled with half-finished stories. I don't know when I last saw those things! There could be some rather scary stuff in them. I'm almost afraid to read any of it.
Well... I did get some visits done before posting this. For something different, I started at the end of my list and worked backwards. Got about halfway through before I remembered I hadn't posted yet. So here's the post. Now I'm going to bed.

Well, poop!
I'm mad at a certain person. I don't know this guy personally, but I'm mad at him anyway! Yes, I am mad at the commissioner of the National Hockey League, Gary Bettman. He cancelled the remainder of the NHL season because they couldn't come to any sort of agreement with the players' union about the salary cap and other stuff. Now that means there's no Stanley Cup playoff this year!
At least my Absolute Favorite Team in the World is not affected by this fiasco. The Musketeers are a junior league team and aren't bound by greed and capitalism. The guys are playing for the love of the game at this level.
Other than that, Wednesday was pretty quiet. I got my hair cut in the morning. I needed that. I hadn't had a haircut since September and my bangs were almost to my chin! They're just past my eyebrows now. In the afternoon my Mom & I worked on folding some more fabric stars for a little quilt thing we're making. It's going to be a lap robe for someone at the nursing home. I'll try to take a picture of the stars so you all know what I mean. Then in the evening, I finished off the Egyptian themed Gemini picture in counted cross stitch that I've been working at. I also started to get things together for my next project. I'm going to do a Native American angel for Mom. I gave her two choices and she picked the angel. The other choice was a Celtic Christmas picture with a girl holding a wreath of candles.
I was such a klutz yesterday. I somehow managed to get a couple fingers caught in the handle of the door of my car and bent them backwards. It really hurt! They've been sore all day today.
Well, 'tis late and I seem to be getting a little tired again. I'll hit what I can and see y'all tomorrow!

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Can't resist... gotta get this out of my system....
And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful
Wife
And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here?
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Water dissolving...and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Carry the water at the bottom of the ocean
Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean!
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!...what have I done?
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

Can't go wrong with Talking Heads.
Anyhoo... Tuesday has almost bitten the dust. I didn't get much organizing done, but I did get a bunch of stuff over from my sister's house, so I now have my art stuff. I just have to get it out of the tub it's in and organize it on the little green shelf in my room.
I'm glad you liked the story about my Dad and the Valentine's Day heart attack and the new tradition. I remember being very calm through the whole thing. My Mom was somewhat in a panic, but I was cool through it all. My coworkers were all more worried than I was. My Dad was taken to one of the top cardiac care hospitals in the nation! Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City is one of the top 100 cardiac hospitals in the country. He's always in good hands over there. By the way, he's feeling lots better with his back/leg issue. He actually has been out of the house a few times. I had to take him to the hardware store to get a part to fix something in the basement. And we had him out to Pizza Hut last night. He went to Sioux City with Mom the other day... just to get out of the house!
Well... I'm a bit tired, so I am gonna go early tonight. The weather is a-changin'.... I can feel it in my knees.

The late Valentine's Day post.
I hope everyone had a halfway decent day Monday. My day was okay. Mom got chocolate for us.
Valentine's Day is one of those holidays that is great if you're not single. We started a tradition after Valentine's Day 1996. That year my parents decided they weren't going to get each other cards. I was working downtown here in Kingsley that year and got a phone call from my brother-in-law saying my Dad was at the clinic... he had a heart attack! Yep... a heart attack on Valentine's Day, how weird is that? Later at the hospital, those of us that live in the area were all there. Mom had some papers in hand. We looked at them and they were pictures of Dad's heart. We told him he was supposed to give her a card that has a representation of his heart, not actual pictures of his heart. The hospital staff at first was shocked that we were telling him off, but when they realized what we had said, they all laughed. It's been nine years and we still laugh about it. And the tradition was born that day: one of us kids has to ask Dad if he got Mom a Valentine card.
Since he's been laid up with his back, he's not been able to get out to buy a card. But I helped him make one on the computer this morning. Well, he did all the work and I sort of picked the picture out.
Now it's time for bed. I visited sites before posting tonight and got through most of you that updated! Yay me!

Wheeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
It's Sunday! It's been raining all day. My car is actually white!
Okay... enough of that. It was my brother's birthday today (Sunday, not Monday). He's old. *hee hee hee* We got the bookshelf set up in my room and hooked up the TV and DVD/VCR to the cable, so now I can watch TV in my room! Yay!
I was looking in a trunk that has stuff in it to see what's in it. I found some Star Wars stuff, my Sailor Moon dolls, and these origami dolls.
I know they're characters from Lum Urusei Yatsura by Rumiko Takahashi. I don't know who the first girl is, but the others are Ten-chan, Lum and Ataru Moroboshi. Anyone know who the first girl is?
Where I got these: in the fall of 1982, when I was a senior in high school, we had a Japanese exchange student come stay with us. She brought along some origami paper and these were in one of the packs. I made them somewhere along the line, so they've been around almost 23 years!
Well... that's about it for today. Will hit sites now!
